Hey, all. I'm new here and fairly new to vaping and this is my first post outside the New Members and Halo forums (fora?). I did a search to see if this subject has been covered already but I found nothing.

Anyway, here's an interesting question to consider: If there were a widescale power outage, how long would you be able to continue vaping? In my case, assuming all my batteries were charged, it'd be one day at my regular pace or maybe two days if I cut way back. This concerns me a little. I guess a source of vaping power should become as much a part of my emergency preparedness plan as things like flashlights, candles, a radio, canned food and bottled water. I can't have a generator (I'm an apartment dweller) so I'll have to think of some other means to recharge my batteries during a power outage.

I'm not sure why I thought of this except that I've lived through a few blackouts and I like to be prepared for these scenarios. That's why I still have a landline and at least one hard-wired phone in my house.

I would be in a panic if I only had enough battery power to last 2 days at the most. Guess that is why I have 6 18650 batteries and the APV to use them in in my backup supplies and at least a dozen ego style batteries anywhere from 650 mAh to 1300 mAh. Guess you can see that I believe in backups for my backups. :D

Buy a deep cycle car battery and an alligator clip 12v adapter with USB port. Fully charged the battery could probably keep your gear going for a month.

Heh... It didn't even occur to me when I wrote that post that I have two USB ports in my car (one built-in, one via a 12V lighter socket adaptor) and I could charge my batteries there if I had to.

I have an Energizer back-up battery that will also start my car. It has a normal wall plug, and I was able to keep my Twists and spinners charged for a full month on it. I also got a biolite camp stove, so I can cook and charge at the same time.
I have a 6600 mah USB battery and an 8400 mah USB battery... I don't think I'm going to have to worry about power outages and vaping.

I might be able to make it 48 hours without power for the chargers. Natebreynolds, That Nokia solar powered charger looks like the ideal solution to a black out if you are using Ego style batteries. That and the car USB charger would get me by indefinitely, as far as vaping goes.

IM going to be using it with this. $5.50 Variable Voltage USB Passthrough Battery for E-Cigarette - silver at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
The wife and I are going on a camping trip soon and I didnt want to bring 20 batteries with me =] Of course ill be bringing some just in case haha.
