Is this blank carto (disassembled) similar to other makes? This one is from My 7's.

Now that I have an eGo I am wondering whether these could be used with other brands of atomizers.

This is the atomizer:

It would have to fit the eGo battery so the 510 thread would be needed.

Well what exactly is the question? Egos are 510 threaded so you can use any delivery device that you'd like.

The question is: Would the pictured cartridge, not the atty, work on any 510 atty's? Hate to waste my money. There are no 301 (7's thread) to 510 adapters that I can find but I do have a 510 to 301 adapter that lets me attach eGo stuff to the 7's batts.

It will all be a moot point in a couple of months once the 7's batts die off. I will use them for all I can get out of them for now. The remaining cartridges and attys will still be good for sampling new flavors.

That's not a carto, that's a cartridge. "Carto" is short for "Cartomizer" which is a combination of "CARTridge + atOMIZER" cart+omizer = Cartomizer.

A cartomizer, as the name implies, is a unit which combines both a reservoir of juice, and an atomizing coil together in a single piece. This is different from an atomizer and cartridge setup, like you have, because your juice reservoir is a separate piece that attaches to the atomizer.

The cartridge that you have pictured will NOT fit a standard 510 atomizer. The way the cartridge attaches to the atomizer is totally different on your unit, compared to a 510. Your cartridge slides over the outside of the atomizer, with a 510 the cartridge seats itself inside of the atomizer.

510 cartridges also do not have the tiny internal tank like your cartridge. They have a cartridge with a much larger area that has filler material inside of it, and small air channels on the side. The bridge (the silver metal part that sticks up from the atomizer) of a 510 atomizer would not fit properly inside the tiny internal tank of your cartridge. The bridge is what transfers juice from your cartridge down into the coil, so if this doesn't fit properly the juice won't feed well.

I'd really suggest you look into cartomizers if you have not already. The whole cart + atty setup is old and obsolete. Even "quality" cartridges that are working "well" still don't work well at all compared to modern equipment. For the most part, the only thing people use attys for nowadays is dripping, where you drip several drops of juice directly onto the atty, instead of using a cartridge. Performance is far better this way, although you must continually drip juice into the atty, so it's less convenient.

I'm of the opinion that cartomizers are actually cheaper than atty + cart setups too, as attys generally cost 5-10, sometimes even 15-20 times as much as a carto does. I have not found attys to last considerably longer than cartomizers either, and especially if you are using carts instead of dripping your atty will last an even shorter amount of time.

If you have an eGo I'd suggest getting either a Boge carto-tank or a Smoktech carto-tank. They both make models with a diameter that basically matches an eGo battery. Boges take standard length cartos (35mm) while Smoktech makes ones that use XL cartos (45mm) I feel Boge cartos to be of a better quality than Smoktech, and the filler material is tighter so they won't flood as easily when used with a tank.
