BLCC - Base Liquid Cost Calculator

Hello everyone!

I've created a base liquid cost calculator for all you DIYers out there, especially if you order your VG/PG/Nic bases online. It will calculate your base cost for 10ml, 30ml, 50ml and 100ml depending on the cost of your bases. A custom ml amount can also be calculated.

You can also use this calculator to compare the final base price, for example if you order some of your bases from vendor A instead of vendor B (for faster delivery).

It currently supports only €, $ and £. If you want your local currency supported, please give me a shout.

Please keep in mind that online currency conversion rates might not be exact to PayPal or other online paying services. If you buy in a foreign currency the final cost of your base is thus indicative.

It would be nice if you could enter individual flavoring cost so you can calculate an entire finished mix. I've been looking for a standalone app that can calculate the final cost of a finished mix. Some NIC calculators do it but a standalone cost calculator without mixing calculation features would be nice. Something like this for instance without the actual concentration calculator.

Also, it gives you an error if you want zero nic base.

Thank you so much for your kind replies! I have now adressed the zero-nic base, and you should now be able to calculate a base without nicotine.

The next thing on my to-do list is the flavouring.

Very nice! I just started DIYing earlier this evening and was guesstimating cost as I was mixing. Your site has a great look and feel.

I don't know the first thing about coding or programming for web pages (so I could very well be suggesting a massive amount of work and/or hosting) but my newb's dream would be to have flavorings added and maybe even a way (using a login) to have a library of my flavors so that when I make a new recipe I can easily plug in the percentages I used to get a final cost. The flavor and associated cost would be saved for future use? Does that even make sense? When I started shopping for flavors I noticed that certain manufacturers were more expensive AND required larger standard doses. That seems like it would make a big difference in the final cost. I might be overcomplicating things on your end but in my head that concept sounds cool.

The flavouring-block of the calculator should be ready later tonight (3.30PM here now), unless I stumble upon serious issues with the code.

It has crossed my mind to make this a social ecosystem, with users being able to register, save and share recipes also. But all comes with time.

Sorry for the delay guys! I was at a vapemeet today and came home a few hours ago (a bit drunk). I started working on the flavouring part of the calculator and realized I needed to add amount, dilute and cost factors for flavourings as well. I'm working hard on finishing this, so keep calm and don't start a riot please!

Another suggestion would be to remove all the currency type buttons and just have 1 button to select a default currency. It would look far less cluttered and eliminate unnessesary extra button presses.

Also change your blue lettering on black background thats at the top (currency setting etc... at the top) to white. Your present combination makes it hard to read.

Here in Europe you can't always get all the bases from your country in your own currency. So if I must order my VG base from the UK for example, and the shop only supports pounds, I have to be able to enter the price for VG in that currency, and in euros for the rest.

Good point. I can see instances where you may need to mix and match currency's depending on what country you bought from.
