Wait, was that just an in general? What does V4L have to do with the Volt or the Elite 808?

Someone mentioned V4L batteries... just thought I'd mention my experience with the vendor in case anyone is browsing for a good starter kit or something.

Never used an Elite so I can't speak on those.

I just got my volt stuff in the mail today. I got one battery and the strong sampler pack to try. That way I could try the cartos on their battery and on mine, try my old cartos on their battery, and try my 901 on their batteries.

First, what I've heard about 901's and sealed auto batteries is true. Can't use the 901 on a sealed auto 808. They only work on manual or unsealed 808's. Oh, well.

Second, the battery. It's the same as the auto 808's I got from Mad Vapes so far as quality. The cartos work just as well on both, and the batteries both perform well.

Third, the cartos. I love them so far. Draw isn't tight, plenty of flavor, and plenty of vapor. Looks promising.

We'll see how it goes over the next week. But, so far, it looks I'll be ordering more.

I feel your pain. I went through about 10 different setups before I found a sweet spot. I still experiment when something new comes out just to give it a try as they are always improving things, but for the past year I've just ordered liquid now and then and new cartos every few months.

It will level out and you'll see the savings before too long.

I second that i have tryed egos,510-t,m401,901,echo,kr808d-1 and finally have settled on the smokeless image volt i was looking for a pv with a consistant performance and the least hassle you wont be disappointed just wish these where around sooner and i new about them could have saved a small fortune and stopped the analogs much sooner.

Hi DancingHeretik,
I feel your pain, lol, I too at one time was an atty user, I just ordered a volt, it will arrive tomorrow, can't wait..I got very tired of ordering atty after atty, I've used 801, ego T, 510 T, Leo...I had an issue with 510 T ones, when I would pull the thank out for refill, the cap got stuck around the atty spike, not once, not twice, several times, what a mess.. I have never been a big mod girl, it was bad enough getting stares with my ego deal while driving the car to the point of when I got to a traffic light, not vaping til the light changed, lol...So I'm one too that has deceided to get myself a Volt, I've seen the reviews on you tube for it and I'm sold....

Ok. It's been a few weeks since I've started using the Volts. And, they really are as good as they seemed initially. If I had never tried anything else, this would definitely be good enough to keep me off cigarettes. I will definitely be ordering more.

Hi DancingHeretik,

I've had the same problems with the 510-t. But, in the process, I found that the 510-t atty is actually quite good for dripping. I just don't like their tanks so far.

I do feel uncomfortable using mods in public. But, it doesn't bother me to use an eGo in public, especially the little 650's. They do get curious looks though. But, the bigger mods look too much like drug devices to me. I'm afraid I'll get stopped if I use those in public.

Thanks!! I was wondering about the batts. My 901 atty's and 901-T came in a week ago and I use it on my V2 batts, but I want to try some SI batts and was worried about the threading.

I just thought I'd throw my $0.02 in here. I started vaping 13 months ago with a SmokeTip 808 system. They used a short gen-1 battery and at the time, did not sell a larger battery. So I started buying batteries from V4L, MyVaporStore, Bloog ect.

I really like the SmokeTip cartos (taste-wise) and I found that V4L & Bloog felt like I was sucking on a straw with little vapor production. The batts I got from MyVaporStore worked okay, but after they wore out and I bought more, the quality had really gone down (lasted less than 2 months before dying).

Reluctantly, after following this thread, I thought I would give the SI batt a try. I got one in 78mm and it's perfect with my carto's. Just the right amount of draw and smoke. I just need to see how long they last.

Curiously, the two original batteries I got with my ST starter kit 13 months ago are still working, while every other battery I've bought since then (including more batteries from ST) are dead... go figure.

Vaping systems are funny. People will say this is better than that. A lot depends on the battery voltages, the cart resistances and taste. It's a curious blend of science and art.

Figure I'll throw in my $0.02. When I got my V2 kit, I loved it except I was having to recharge constantly. I ended up buying another battery from Vapor Kings. Both batts worked very well with the cartos I was using. After hearing the great things about the Volt batteries, I figured I would give them a try. The Volt batt worked pretty good. I liked the fact that it was a sealed auto, however I did find that with certain cartos, the draw was too tight. I guess it may be due to differences during manufacturing. Also I oved the fact that it is a regulated battery. Sometimes I change the cartos before they are done (just feel like a different flavor) and if I put the partially used carto on a freshly charged unregulated batt (4.2v fresh off the charger), I get a burnt taste the first couple of puffs. Since the Volt is regulated (3.7v all the time) , I don't seem to have the burnt taste with partial cartos.

I'm just starting to full on vape with a Bloog and really like it so far, except for a pesky USB charger issue. I had a Blu but the Bloog is way better for a starter..but my issue is this...my charger light is red and the e cig tip glows blue, when on the charger...even when the battery is indeed DEAD..but the site says that the light on the charger should be GREEN when charging and RED when done...Anyone have this issue???

The light on the USB charger should be red when charging and blue when charged. Also note, the USB light will turn Blue slightly before the blue light on the ecig goes out. Leave it on the charger until the light on the battery goes out. That is my experience with the Bloog MaxFusion.
