13:01 PM UPDATE AFTER A MESSAGE WAS LEFT AT BLOOGPLANET ABOUT THIS:

13:01 PM Another Email

Hello All,

Just a short time ago, we sent an “accidental e-mail” to some BLOOG Customers that had other BLOOG customer e-mail addresses on it. We are sorry for this error and rest assured it will not happen again.

The information included in the e-mail is factual and the offer is valid, but we should not have sent the e-mail in the way it was formatted.

I apologize for the error.

How Frigin Pathetic!

It's just an email address. Anyone running an email without a spam filter must be spending 95% of their day manually deleting email anyway. Unless you never use your email for ANYTHING, it is already out there in some spammers database.

Looks like an honest mistake to me.

well, he does say in his security guarantee "cannot guarantee that your personal information will never be used in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy". how exactly is that a guarantee? "I guarantee i cannot guarantee?" what is your "appropriate measures to safeguard" standard? "if I don't forget?"

Here's my policy:

i don't do business with people who can't be trusted with my personal information.
and i strongly recommend to my friends and family that they don't do business with them either.

people make mistakes, i understand, and it doesn't make them evil.
but you're in a position of trust and are expected to maintain it at the highest level.
you just lost one potential customer, and why?

shame on you.

It is a standard privacy policy.... That statement accounts for human error exactly like this....It was by no means a company decision to do the email like that....what would have been the motive??? unless we just wanted to tick people off....which I assure was the opposite of our goal... we just wanted our customers to be excited about the great new product...

I don't know how its fair to shame us....if it was done on purpose i could understand ...or if i wasn't here trying to do damage control...

It was simply an accident and I will sit here on this thread for weeks and weeks apologizing for it.

Ohh..I think this is the first time I've ever disagreed with you CandyGirl.

"shame on you" implies intent. A company selling the database or sharing it with a 3rd party company would be shameful (but is unbelievably common). An honest mistake is simply that..a mistake.

The guarantee you quote is standard cut and paste legal bullsh.t that every website grabs from every other website. Keep in mind that vaping is still just a hobby and all these companies are just few man operations. It could happen to any of the companies that we use which explains the god awful websites of about 80% of them.

I'm not a customer of this company so maybe that's why it doesn't seem to be that big a deal, but I think overreacting when we're all still in a budding market doesn't help anyone.

i acknowledged it was a mistake and understand there was no evil intent Nuck.
but i stick with my original statement.
i do business with lots of folks here and this has never happened to me.
your understanding of the term "shame on you" seems to be very different than mine. and since i didn't imply intent. "people make mistakes, i understand, and it doesn't make them evil", it's seems now they may think i did after reading your post. but i'm not saying that was intentional either. lol

I don't know how you can use an email client to send out a marketing mail, a little bit of advice, you should look at some of the 3rd part sites to do this for you with stats reporting etc. You need to know what revenue streams are making the most money etc etc. Also, people won't get cc'ed all your customers email addresses. I know if I got mailed that list, I might use it for myself:p

It was an email to existing customers only with an exclusive offer..... We were not email marketing to gain new customers ...we have no plans to do that that sort of spam marketing.

Again much apologizes to anyone who this affected.
