Hello everyone,

I just received my blu in the mail. I used to own a volcano but wasn't enjoying the 3 piece system. So I went back to reg cigarettes for about another year. Finally decided to buy a diff model and seen blu had the new 2 piece system. Just got it in the mail and I gotta tell you I'm not impressed. With flavor or how long it lasts. the flavor was okay at first but 30 hits later its beginning to taate bland. Kind of like a flat taste. I love the cartonizer design and not having to deal with refilling with a syringe. Any other cheaper better cartonizers I can try out? I tried researching but I don't understand half of the lingo. Like lrs or regs or 510 threads. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance

I made the mistake of ordering the blu kit when I first learned of e-cigs -send it back now!!! - you only have 30 days. The blu batteries are only like 90 mah, which is a very short vaping time before needing a re-charge -plus they are automatic and have a cut-off time on your inhale which causes it to be almost imposssible to get a good vape hit with them. Their caromizers are filled with Johnson Creek liquid, which I, and many others, dislike (there a some who love JC liquid though). Their cartomizers do perform well and are totally compatible with a 510 or eGo battery thread -so if you wanted you can keep the cartos that you have used and wash them out and re-fill them with whatever e-liquid you want. Now, if you are looking for a PV (personal vaporizer aka e-cig) that is about the same size and look as an analog cig, than I would suggest you look no further than a 510 XL/mega battery (manual sealed battery -not auto battery though since with auto batteries you have to be very careful not to flood e-liquid into the battery end, which is an unsealed battery as this will kill the battery -although at least the joye 510 auto batts do not have a cut off on the inhale time, which is nice) -mega 510 batteries are 280 mah, which should last anywhere from about 3-6+ hours before needing a re-charge, depending on how heavy you are vaping. You can get a mega/XL 510 starter kit for anywhere from about $40-$60 depending on which vendor you buy from -check out E-Liquid | Joye 510 | Joye Ego | E-Cigarette Supplies | EsmokerOnline! -personally use and love their esmoker brand mega 510 travel kit -they are very gorgeous & high quality, a fantastic deal, and comes with atties in case you ever want to drip -just get a couple drip tips with your order (which is what I do at home) and those batteries are compatible with any 510 threades cartomizer, except for LR versions -do not use any cartomizer on your 510 battery that is rated less than 2.5 ohms or you can fry the battery (you must have at least a larger eGo battery or larger voltage battery to use a LR carto or LR atty). Be sure that you have more than one charger for your 510's so that you can charge more than one at once -I have 2 wall chargers that I charge my mega 510's on while I sleep, then I'm good to go for the day. You can also get a PCC (personal charging case) for your mega 510's to charge them and a case for on the go -I don't think the cases can hold a cartomizer though -only hold a few cartridges? If you don't care if your PV looks nor feels like an anolog -cause IT'S NOT, then I would suggest to get an eGo kit -just NOT the tank system as the flavor is weak and too many problems. The eGo battery has a 510 thread, which means that you can put any 510 threaded atty or cartomizer on it. An eGo battery starts out at 650 mah up to 1000+ mah, which will last 8 hours of heavy use up to a couple days with lighter use before needing a re-charge. Another nice thing about the eGo is that you can get larger capacity cartomizers which also need filled less often. As far as cartomizers, most people like the 510 Boge's, which you can find about anywhere -they are low in cost, and are easy to fill -no needle required -just pop of the white cap with the end of a paper clip and slowly drip your e-liquid down in the sides into the batting while turning the carto -just be careful not to get liquid in the center tube! -watch some youtube videos on how to fill and clean cartos. I personally did not care so much for the airy draw on the Boge cartomizers and have an order of cartos coming from GoodProphets.com (see: empty GP cartomizers for 510 and eGo) - will let you know if they are good. While I am at home, I mostly use and eGo battery with a 510 automizer + drip tip and drip. When I am out and about, I take along 2 fully charged mega 510 batteries along with a couple cartomizers and/or an automizer with my lucid clear cart attached that I modded with blue foam -another option for you -I got the blue foam from thevaporpro, and the lucid clear carts from myvaporstore -check them out -I love them! I like cartomizers for certain flavors that I don't want stuck in my atty such as cinnamon, orange, or blueberry pie -otherwise I would use lucid clear carts exclusively since you can see exactly how much liquid you have left and the taste is just like dripping on an atty which give the best flavor and vapor. Also shop around nitelitevapor and litecigusa sites to compare prices and equipment. I know all the lingo and different options can be rather mind-boggling  As far as your e-juice goes, I recommend ordering some sample sizes from various vendors to find exactly what suits you as everyone's tast is different -this requires some up-front cost and experimenting but will be so worth it once you find YOUR juice. Some of my favorites come from alienvisions -Boba's Bounty (the best!) and Gorilla Juice (tastes like Banana bread if you like that) and backwoodsbrew -Casablanca, Applewood, Melonbacco are fantastic. Anyway, I hope all this helps, and good luck! :vapor:

Hey thanks for the responce. I plan on shipping my blu back! I've been Recharging all day and it has a horrible taste. I guess I enjoyed the charging pack that cane with and the simple cartomizer design. Puffs I tried nite vapor and it was out of stock as most places I looked at for a 510. Anyone have a good idea where I could find a 510 with cartomizers no atomizers. Eceryone s out of stock. It seems to be too big of a hassel with atomizers and cleaning them. Id rather just refill a cartomizer. Thanks for the help

Blu is L88B which has the same threading as Joye 306 and Joye 510 but otherwise is not the same

You can keep the cartos you have damp and get several days use out of each. Or use Boge 510 STANDARD resistance cartomizers (blank, 2.8-3.2 ohms) not the LR ones (those are only for 450mah+ batteries and you have like 100mah batteries)

You can also use standard resistance Joye 306 cartos if you can find them. If you want prefilled 510 cartos, there isn't much that isn't Chinese Dekang liquid. VaporKings.com has 510 Boge prefilled wiht Chinese liquid. Volcanoecigs may have some prefilled Magma cartomizers (magma is what they call their 510), LiquidXpress has a small badly stocked supply of 510 prefileld cartomizers. The only ones I know are good cartos and easy to add juice to are the Vaporkings.com Boge ones. BOge are the most popular blank cartos on 510-threaded devices.

Nothing you can do about short battery life but not buy tiny ecigs.

And BTW - if you get some real 510 batteries do not put them in the Blu charger - Blu is reverse electrical polarity from standard 510's and will fry/melt the 510 batteries with its charger and vice versa.

Standard Joye 510 (and manuals are the best) are 180mah. Joye 510 mega xl manuals are 280mah and about 128mm long with a cartomizer.

SEND BACK THE BLU!

Hopefully you're in the process of doing so. ;)

If you're going for out of the box battery performance, without dropping serious cash, then I recommend the Volcano Inferno. I was a previous blu user as well, and could not stress to you enough that it did not replace my want for a regular cigarette. The performance on that battery was that of a cheap toy, and all I would do is hit it a few times and go light up a trusty Camel light.

The Inferno kit comes with a USB pass through battery which is 650 mah...This lasts me about all day, needing to be plugged in at night. I've only started using it if I'm alternating flavors or the other battery is dead, which is rare. It also comes with a big battery (1000 mah) and this thing is king. I use it solid for a day-a day and a half before it goes dry.

If you decide on the Inferno kit, I recommend just getting the tank setup from them. When you place the order, I recommend getting a few Smoktech low resistance cartomizers for fill and go (plus it makes it a 2 piece)...Mine I got from The Vapor Room, and I am more than pleased. With the low resistance dual coils, you get a vapor cloud close to if not as good as dripping. Your big battery will not have a problem on these, but if you drop below 3.7 volts, you run a risk using them. Usually any cigarette sized battery will fry eventually on anything low resistance (LR.)

If you get the cartos, get you some good 50/50 juice. Once again, the folks over at The Vapor Room have been good to me. The 50/50 balance on the LR gives a good warm throat hit, as well as a thick cloud with good hangtime. Part of quitting smoking for me would be getting something that would produce as much feeling in my lungs as a cig did. And this does just that. At this point, I don't want an analog, and they smell disgusting when my friend is huffing on them. No more stink, and I hope nobody else falls prey to these "reviews" online regarding blu. The product is garbage that is marketed pretty with its "on the go" pack which also fails to deliver anything but heartache. If you have any questions on anything specific, message me. I'm here to help you.

Good luck kicking that habit. And welcome to a world that has essentially become a complete replacement, and a great hobby.

And BTW - most of us do not use popular-threading 3-piece systems as 3-piece systems. I think cartomizers are the most popular way to use popular 3-piece systems like 510 and its fat-battery versions- mainly blank cartomizer we fill ourselves. In addition, using a drip tip on the atomizer with manual batteries.

Most popular 2-piece system with prefilled cartos is KR808D-1 (Vapor4Life.com, and the slightly different models SmokelessImage Volt, Halocigs G6, Bloogplanet Maxxfusion)

Dang, sorry everyone jumped on the nitelite deal before you got a chance :( -That is the only 510 kit I have seen that comes with cartomizers. Just get a 510 kit and order your cartos seperate and order at least one drip tip cause you may find that you like dripping -plus it's a good way to test out new e-liquids if you plan on filling your own cartos. Attys are not hard to clean -you can rinse hot water through, blow out the excess water by placing your mouth on the non-threaded end, let it dry over night, then prime it with a few drops of e-liqid -or -you can do what I do and flush either VG or PG through till it blows out clear -this way there is no wait for dry time! You can pick up a bottle of VG at any pharmacy for about $4. PG is thinner though and would be better for use of flushing the atty but harder to find. E-smoker seems to have plenty of 510 kits. Just keep checking around. You also could just purchase a couple 510 batteries seperately (no attys), a 510 charger or two, a box of cartos, and a 510 PCC instead of ordering a pre-made starter kit -just an idea. :)

You don't need a syringe with the set-up that we have explained. Yes, there are 510 charging packs (called PCC -personal charging case). Just make sure if you get a 510 mega that you get the 510 mega sized PCC. Do NOT get LR anything for a 510 battery -use only SR -standard resistance. Dripping -yes, you take the cart of the atty and drip into the atty opening -you could even use an empty cartridge over the atty as a mouthpiece for dripping -a drip tip not only gives you a comfortable mouth piece, it allows you do drip through the mouthpiece in one easy step instead of having to remove something to drip into the atty -hence: Drip Tip. Any 510 SR carto or atty will work -just not a LR carto or atty. Hope that cleared things up for you :)

Oh, BTW, filling a 510 cartomizer (not the joyetech brand as those do pretty much require a syringe, even though there are other ways to fill them but we won't go there) if you use the Boge 510 cartos or any like it, such as the goodprophets ones that I pointed out, you just drip from the e-liquid bottle into the batting after removing the mouthpeice cap with the end of a paperclip -give time for the batting/filler to absorb the liquid in between drops so that the liquid has time to work its way all throughout the carto -NO SYRINGES needed.
