I ordered my blu late last Friday evening and it was in my mailbox on Thursday....not bad compared to some of the horror stories i've read. The first atty died within hours. I tried cleaning it but it still produces virtually no vapor. However the spare atty had been vaping strong since then. Im working my way quickly through my initial supply of carts and I have already ordered 2 30ml jugs of juice from revolver (cant beat the price) which should be here in a couple days along with 2 spare atty's from Blu. I plan on drip/dipping at home and just refilling the carts I got to take with me on the go. So today I started pulling out the inside of the carts to get them ready for when my juice comes and the insides are different sizes. This makes no sense to me. Some are shorter than others. Anyone notice this? Oh well I guess ill just refill the taller ones because I guess the atty will wick the liquid better? Otherwise I dont seem to have a problem with vapor or hit quality. I got the 12mg carts from Blu which i attribute to semi-weak throat hit so I got the 24mg liquid on the way. Drip/dipping the 24mg should do it. Probably gonna invest in a 510 pass thru system (whats the best pass thru?) for home and use the refilled Blu's on the go. Ideas? Help? New to vaping and never looking back....................JDSupreme

This is my 1st post. About a month ago I decided to try vaping. I've used the patch, Chantix, etc., to quit and it hasn't happened. (Chantix made me very ill.) I started to read reviews, but quickly responded to the Blu advertising - and got one. I was very disappointed. The taste was nice, but inconsistent vapor - didn't lure me away from the real thing. Then I read other reviews that echoed my experience. Then I read that you can use the Blu cart on a 510 and a 510 cart on a Blu battery. (But don't swap chargers!) So, I found a decent price on a single 510 unit (manual battery) with PCC. Decided to give it a try. Here's what I found:

1. The manual battery improves the vapor production of the Blu cart. However, the Blu cart runs out fast.

2. The 510 atomizer on the Blu battery is a much better option - but the Blu battery seems to drop voltage as it runs down.

3. The 510 is a much better overall e-cig. Still not the best battery life, but great vapor.

I decided to pull the trigger and ordered a 510 set from Cignot (great price ($35) and awesome service).

I'm giving my Blue to my sister, but will give her a 510 atomizer and cart so she gets a better idea of vaping.

I received my 510 about 10 days ago. I haven't had a cigarette in 9 days.

Skip to the chase.. just get the 510.. much more consistent. If nothing else, get a 510 atomizer to use with you Blu battery and carts - it's still a big step up.

Anyone else had the same experience?

I have a blu, and I was reading this and was getting myself all upset about their product. I didn't know anything about ecigs and only found out about them from well that doesn't matter. Anyways I contacted customer service and the person I chatted with gave me an extremely helpful tip. If you pack the blu like you would a pack of analog cigs you will get a better vapor each hit. I know this isn't "ideal" but this trick does it for me and I am pretty happy with it.

plus packing the pack was my third favorite part next to smoking a cig and squishing the little ball in the camels.

what do you mean "pack" the blu? like, individually? or the carts before you put them in?

I think he meant that you would "pack" the cig (or the cig in the PCC) after it's loaded onto an atty and smack it so that the juice flows towards the atty.

I'm not so sure it's good for the fine wire connections to the various electronic components to be smacked around so much, but if it works for ya then knock yourself out. I smack my old TV around every now and then.

If you really want better vapor production or flavor or hit, there are several threads covering the subjects in here and elsewhere in the forum. The general consensus is to refill your own.

Just my opinion but I wouldn't go smacking my gear around and expect it to last long.

I have just joined this forum today to try to figure out what e-cig I should buy to replace my blu. I waited over 6 weeks to receive my first order. It arrived in a brown envelope with no instructions. I do like the look and feel of the blu and when the battery is newly charged the vapor is fine for me. I just need to find an e-cig that does not take weeks and weeks to deliver their product. I'm down to my last cartridge and my refill order was placed over two weeks ago.

I ordered juice from Johnsons creek for my Blu and although it works well, the throat hit is harsh and the taste is just downright BAD. My wife said its like smoking bran cereal. I got strawberry, chocolate and jc original and they all kinda taste the same. (the strawberry has no strawberry taste at all)

So
#1 Blu can be refilled and its just as easy as any other type
#2 Johnsons Creek e-liquid sucks .... Dont get it.

JC's base flavour is definitely love-it-or-hate-it. Personally, I like it, though I've had to give it up because they STILL don't have their VG-only formula ready. (Last I heard, they'd said it would be ready last fall. I thought the reduced-PG would be okay, but nope.) When I can get a PG-free Johnson Creek formula again, though, I'll definitely go back to Tennesee Cured, JC Original, and Summer Peach especially.

In the meantime I'm more than happy with Decadent Vapours and ECOpure, both of which perform very well with blu equipment. I've mostly been switching between Absinthe, Parma Violet, Rich, and Menthol.

To be fair, I've NEVER had ANY luck with "live" online help systems from ANY company I've been foolhardy enough to attempt to contact that way. (Most recently Cigtech, I think.)

My one and only interaction with blu's customer service (I got a pair of bad batteries) started out via email, but the very first thing they did was say to call them for faster service. So I did, and my return was processed immediately in real time, without argument. They emailed me the RMA paperwork, and in fact I had received shipping confirmation of my replacement parts before I'd even had time to fill out the return form. My new batteries arrived a few days later and have worked perfectly since.

If you ever have to deal with blu customer service, JUST CALL THEM. Trust me.

I learned the hardway about sound activation. I was at rehearsal and I felt the heat in my pocket. Pulled it out and in a matter of about 3 songs had completely discharged the battery. Okay, so I throw it on my bag behind my bass rig and it still stayed lit. I actually had to put it out in the hallway. LOL I thought it was a malfunction or the magnetic field until I read this. Thanx TRS

This is with blu batteries? Because I take them to shows all the time, and they almost never trigger with sound, even when I'm standing up front by the amps. After hearing all the stories about overly-sound-sensitive blu batteries, I thought I'd just gotten some fluke good ones, but I have ten blu/Volcano batteries now and have never had a problem with sound activation. (My 702 batteries, on the over hand, are DEFINITELY a problem around loud music. Those things are TOUCHY.)

If you find you're in an environment that triggers your batteries, try just unscrewing the battery from the atomizer most of the way. The battery will activate and trigger the LED, but it won't activate the heating coil, so you won't lose nearly as much charge (or start a fire).

I've been using my blu for months and love it. I have a 510 too, along with an LTv9. I have to say that blu is good if you get your own filler and e-liquids. you can make those carts last a good amount of time. I admit it, the blu doesn't hit anywhere near the 510 or similar styles but it is a heck of a lot smaller and I like it for that reason. The battery life has never been an issue for me. The pcc makes the issue nonexistant unless you are a complete chain smoker.

I must be the second person with a good Blu pack :)

I got mine in 7 days (including a weekend). Ordered White which I wanted (Black is out of stock).

I like the vapor. It's only my second eCig (first is a super mini from a mall). Maybe i'm a noob but wouldnt alot of vapor mean you are burning through cartridges more quickly? Whatever vapor it gives seems to be like that of a traditional smoke. After 10-15 puffs I can put it down and wait for my next session in the same interval I would have with a regular cigarette. That seems to be pretty good to me.

Anyway, I can take a nice hit and inhale without gagging. Seems like a good way to get off traditional cigs.

Concerned about cartridge replacements. So far, have an order in for more (insert crickets chirping). If i'm going to use this regularly I need a open supply route. I've never refilled a cartridge but will take your suggestion on the Johnson Creek liquid and using an atomizer as a stopper.

"
WOW. So much negativity here that I'm starting to think I must have gotten the Magic Blu Kit that actually works."

I must be the third person...

I enjoy my BLU... yes I had to wait a while to get it (I ordered the end of June and got it around the end of July)...but ordered extra batteries, attys, and cartridges twice and have gotten my order in less than a week both times. I have had no problems with it, and love their flavors. My original Blu batteries and attys are still working great... I killed one atty, but it was my fault not the fault of Blu.

yes, getting the product from the company was a hassle, my affiliate order took over 2 weeks to ship, and we spend a good amount with this company, but it was due to 1, i repeat 1! item on our order being out of stock (black batteries) it held everything up... but upon arriving i could not have been happier, the initial draw off of a fresh charge, with even a used cartridge is sizable, in a room with still air i was blowing large smoke rings with ease, the key to prolonged vapor output is VERY LIGHT DRAWS, try just barely pulling on the blu cig, very lightly, you will feel the throat hit about the time it takes to produce a satisfying vapor exhale. that was the key for me, light, and slow draws produced the most vapor, for the longest period of time. a light draw should also help with battery life.

and regarding battery life, the slot to the right of the charger slot on the epack is deep enough to hold a fully charged battery with cart on it, while you charge and store a secondary battery. a second battery is a must with this, and i would imagine any e cig if you, like me, tend to chain vape...
