I've had my Blu cigs for almost two years now, and only recently did this happen. When unscrewing the cartridge from the cigarette itself, it pulled the battery connection out with it, and they were stuck together. It happened on one, then a month or so later, it happened to the other. I tried reinserting them, and I sort of managed to, but now when I try to charge the cigarettes, the blue light just blinks a bunch of times and there's no vapor to inhale if i try to smoke.

Are both cigarettes broken now, do I have to buy a whole new pack?

Sorry to say, but you might consider this a blessing in disguise.
I wouldn't mess with them. They're pretty obviously broken internally.
Also, if you had them for 2 years, they were pretty close to their end of life anyway.
Two years is the lifespan of a typical lithium battery, even if it's never used.

Before you replace them with another Blu, you might want to take a look at the Volt by Smokelessimage.com
It's a FAR superior e-cig than the Blu. The juice is made by the same company that makes the Blu juice.
But it's miles ahead in terms of quality, customer service and performance.
I think it's cheaper too.
There are discount codes available and you can get a free battery if you post your picture in their forum here on ECF.

So, consider your Volt breaking as an opportunity to get a vastly better e-cig.

Sailorman's right about Volt being superior, but their jucie is made in China and not by Johnson Creek (the juice provider for Blu) see post 10 for info... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/smokeless-image/302288-smokeless-image-carts-liquid-pg-vg.html#post6299090

So now you have a decision to make. Take the cheap way out and just order a couple of new Blu batteries, order a Volt kit for a better product but more $$$, or go with something else entirely like a Kgo, Twist, Lava Tube or other options out there.

Blu got me off analogs, and really isn’t a bad product. The fact you got 2 years out of it is good.
While I vape my Kgo and Twist normally, I like to keep a mini-cig in my pocket at all times. I’ve been reading all the posts here saying that Volt is the best of the cig-lookalikes so I had to try them. I recently got a Volt system and can attest that it is indeed a better system than Blu. The batteries last longer, are regulated so you get a consistent vape, and their cartomizers are better and I get a better vape out of them. If you’re sticking with the cig lookalike form factor, I highly recommend a volt.

Honest and only honest truth of Blu Cig. I have used them years ago and now have misplaced them. they were 80 for 60 USD package I recall. It tasted burnt all the time, never had the atomizer suck out any vapor, no flavor likely minimum juice is in it, batter never worked passed 5 min from the beginning, quality of China. the only credit I would award them is the slick design, not much bigger than regular smoke pack. *Only if you want to spend more and hear what my heart recommends you as a heavy smoker then read on. Otherwise save your time and do what you believe.
If addiction is more than just excuse, socialize, fun. Then do yourself a favor save up your money for ProVari on provape site. Worth every cents spent and all USA made; meant to last years. Works every puff provided you have good atomizer or cartomizer. I don't work for the company but Im a sucker for excellent product. Generally meant expensive high end just how it turns but not always as I am occasionally surprised by small unknown companies.
This will fix your problem for you if your addiction are: I breath cigarettes and love the smell more than air itself. I tired all the cold jokes of self claimed quitting products on the market of today. I am gonna die if I smoke again and die if I don't. I started too young but Im just too in now. Then of course smoking is my right don't dare mentioning or having me quit; people can't deal with jealousy of smokers that's their worry.
If any above sounded like you believe me you won't ever regret trying ProVari or Darwin is another alternative slight differed in design. Mostly likely you won't need to pickup a cigarette again or be cut them down like a miracle.
PS I was 1 pack per a day Camel smoker and I choke first few puff of e cig. Lots of kicks and you can control amounts of nicotine you want to buy/make for your e liquid.
PPS You may realize that attomizer and cartomizer do play a great role as well as changing voltage/watts pending on your mod.

Best of luck to you:)

Great advise but I don't think MelancholyRose will go for that as she already stated she doesn't have a lot of money to invest. However, I think the Volt is a great idea for now. Starter kits start at $29.95 here: Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Starter Kits. And I believe they will be cheaper on refills, too, than blu is. Batteries alone for the blu are $13/piece. You'd need to get at least 2, so that's already the price of the most basic starter kit for the Volt.......
Totally up to you of course, just my suggestion.... :)

If you go with the Volt you can still use all your blue stuff with it.

Not really. the threading is different so she'd need an adaptor for carto's. The chargers are also different so is the polarity.
About the only thing easily switchable between the two would be the juice.

I’m happy you found something that worked for you, but please realize there’s more than one way to skin a grape (don’t want PETA on my case :D).

I smoked for 35+ years and never had any luck quitting before I got my Blu. The OP. myself and many others here have successfully quit by using Blu. Even though it’s not the best out there…it does work. The fact that her batteries lasted two years tells me that the quality is just fine. I’ve had no problems what so ever with the product, and to tell you the truth, if I hadn’t become a regular here it would still be my main vape.

While the Provari is a great fit for you, and I’m happy to hear that you found something you like, it’s not for everyone. Vaping is NOT a one size fits all item.
