one week on the BLU and I'm still enjoying it. I did however buy one of the $45 clearance ego kits from cignot (should get here today) and a Riva as part of a lot with some DIY juice stuff (should get here soon I hope) but I plan to continue to use my BLU for one simple reason...it works...that's right it just works. It's not the best out there, it's not the worst out there and i'm frankly shocked at the total hatred of the BLU. Blu bashers remind me of car bashers, seems like there has been a whole crapload of bashing from a very few test drives.

When you have been vaping for more than a "minute" figuritively speaking, you will be able to understand the very poor reputation that the Blu has. It is just a "bottom feeder" PV with 99% of the companies money going to marketing and no advances in device performance. Those of us who have been doing this for a year or more have generally used 10+ different devices and can make an "informed" comparison. And even many new vapers discover the Blu's short-comings quite quickly. For every one postive review of the Blu, we see 100 negative ones. The only thing driving the negative reviews of the Blu, is the Blu's performance in comparison to the many better devices on the market.

I have no stock in Blu-lovin' or Blu-bashin', if it works for you then that's all that matters.

We get a lot of new members who's first posts start out, "I got a Blu and I hate it! Blah blah blah...." I have nothing to base my opinion on but that. Also, after they get something else the general reaction is, "WOW! Now, this is what I wanted!"

HOWEVER: The whole reason that they end up on ECF is to get advice about dealing with Blu but I'm betting that for every one than ends up here there are plenty who bought Blu and loved it and never felt the need to google for help.

IMO, as long as it works to get you to switch then it's worth the investment.

All good points, Rosa, however, I'm betting that there are a large number who never ended up here, got frustrated and just went back to smoking.

Blu's worked for me for a good year..it served it's purpopse & the customer service was outstanding. I still have quite a stock & grab those every so often instead of my manuals..they are good for something you can keep in your mouth if both hands are busy (at least the old mouthpieces were, fortunately I have a lot of those). It's no eGo for sure..but it did the job..

I started out with Blu. I went from smoking 2 packs a day to vaping immediately. I'll admit that there is a certain learning curve involved with Blu's. I discovered dripping and vaping became so much better to me because I really didn't like the cartons. I still really like my Blu e-cigs after 2 months, but I have upgraded.

Now I have the Evolution-X. The vapor production and battery life are phenomenal. It's really my go to e-cig now. The battery lasts me a day and a half of heavy vaping without any power drop off before it dies. With that being said, I still use my Blu on occasion. If I'm lounging, watching TV or on the computer, I'll take a few puffs of my old Blu. Perhaps I'm somewhat nostalgic because it's what got me off of analogs.

Well sorry if my "minute of vaping" puts me in a lower class of understanding to you master, but let me say that yes i have a pair eGo's already and one sits on my desk at work and the other is on my desk at home. Now why would i possibly put this marvel of superiority somewhere besides where it can exclaim it's own greatness to the world you ask? Could it possibly have something to do with the fact that the last time i smoked something that looked like the eGo it also didn't have any tobacco in it? Would a 510 do the same thing as the blu and not look like it belonged to Tommy Chong...yup...but you know when i looked up blu online it came up as...here's the shocker...Blu. It didn't come up blu by green, or the janty blu, or the vapor king blu, or any of the other two hundred diffrent clones and repacks of the 510 exist out there. Hey you don't like the blu, we get it, nobody likes the blu...except the people who do.

I think you need to keep this in perspective. You like the Blu so who cares what anyone else thinks.

The experienced members here, which I do not count myself among, out of the goodness of their hearts hang around and try to answer questions for the new people. The vast majority of people who have used the Blu and then used other devices, for example 510, kr808, find them to be better than the Blu in terms of cost and performance. I have a Blu, I used it for a week before I ordered another device, an rn4081, I personally think it performs much better than the Blu.

The people here are just trying to help, and it seems from the preponderance of the evidence that it is better to recommend devices other than the Blu.

I, for one, am glad you like the blu and that it works for you. A friend of mine likes his, although it is all he has tried. I do respect the fact that you would rather carry around the Blu and use that instead of the Ego in more public venues - that is a personal decision that you have every right to make. I have a MOD on the way, an Infinity, and while it is not huge, I have every intention of using my rn4081(Smokestick Pitbull) when I am out and about.

For many people, it is difficult for them to presently budget for 1 PV purchase, much less 3. Therefore, the experienced, helpful people here try to steer them to a budget friendly choice which will fit their needs. In most cases that just doesn't appear to be the Blu.

    Best of luck!

    It only took four days
from the date of order for it to arrive. That being said. The Blu e-cigarette was very
disappointing. On there website they advertise that each cartridge is about 250 puffs,
but when I read through there instruction manual it stated 150 puffs.

Blu switched from attys to cartos, and as such it might have gone from 150 puffs to 250 puffs.

I got mine toward the end of january right before they made the switch, and I think I have both 2010 and 2011 batteries. I can tell because my Envy atty works with one and not the other.

A friend bought me some cartridges thinking I owned one already, those arrived with in 10 days. The Blu pack took closer to 2 weeks.

My experience base is with the atty version, and my only real ..... is it works great at first, but the cartridges leave so much fluid behind. As long as you're willing to top them off, it works okay. The batteries are 90mah, though some state they are much higher. I'm still running my stock blu batteries, and accidentally juiced two 510 clone batteries, one cheap 808battery. The Johnson Creek stock cartridges were a plus.

But still, knowing then what I know now, I would have gone with a 510 set, perhaps a PCC. But it was a gift, it got me started, still use it in a pinch, and shake the hell out of it so the fluid reaches the atty.

I might be mistaken but I think the intention wasn't to demonstrate you being a newb, but how quickly one may hear negative things about Blu. I'm in the same boat with my $20 nJoy kit. Mixed reviews, not considered one of the better products, but I still use mine alongside my 510 and eGo.

Actually, at $20, that's not a terrible first purchase for a complete novice to see if they might want a pv. A $20 purchase would make someone think, "this is OK, but there are probably better pvs out there." When someone gets hoodwinked into paying $60-$200 for a $20 kit they think, "this must be a top of the line model so obviously these e-cigs won't work for me." There are people out there who are going to die because that first impression turned them off pvs. :(

I blew $40 two weak NJoy kits and $20 a 5-pack on overpriced and crappy cartos, at a 7-11. They're junk in comparison to my newer stuff, and I'll probably never touch them again. However, since they were available at a place that sold analogues, and helped wean me from that nasty habit, I certainly don't see that expenditure as a rip-off. Heck, those overpriced e-cigs may prove to be one of the wisest investments I've aver made.

Don't know anything about Blue, but I really can't speak badly about a product that helps people move in the right direction. It was money well spent, IMOHO.... looking forward, and not backwards.

I started on a blu last year. Got frustrated with burned out atties and a few times it took so long to get new atties/carts I went back to analogs to hold me over. Lasted about a couple months before I was on analogs full time again. This time, I started with a 510 pcc kit from Mad Vapes and a Hello 016 (hate the hello!). Found out the 510 was much better, espescially after I ordered some clearomizers. I hated the big round battery on the hello 016, so it just sat. I got curious and ordered a box mod, basically a nicostick. I loved it, and ordered some parts to make my own. They are now my go-to vape machine, nice cool vape with2.8 ohm cartos and all the vapor I want.

That being said, I also wonder how many people started with a blu and went back to smoking, never investigating wether there are better pv's or not. Sad, really. I smoked for almost a year when I didn't have to, but am happy as a pig in, umm, poop with my new devices!
