Ugh, I actually got 2 Envy starter packs and then ordered the Blu before I found this site and did adequate research.

I'm hoping the Blu will still be ok. I really like that it comes with the charging pack. If it doesn't work out though, I'll be moving to a 510.

i was in the same boat remote...keep this in mind - blu has now changed their refund policy...they will deduct from your refund amount based on how many cartridges you use....so if you try it and don't like it / think you may want to return it, make sure not to use too many cartridges, and be sure you return them along with the kit...if you return it with zero cartridges, they will deduct $25 bucks from your refund!

I also started with a Blu because a friend of mine had one. He recommended either a Volcano or Blu...Volcano wanted to charge me tax (I live in a state with no sales tax) so I bought from Blu. It is not a horrid product. It did introduce me to vaping which I am grateful for. However, very quickly I was unhappy with the battery life and the attys. I bought two Volcano attys and they worked better. Then someone offered to buy my Blu from me and I had found the forum by this time. So I took the money I got from selling the Blu and put it towards a 510 Ego...Unlike the Blu when I got the Ego I felt like it was money very well spent. Plus I didnt have to wait for it for 2 weeks like I did the Blu. All in all I am very happy with the Ego

I had a similar experience. I saw a lot of reviews on youtube that were very positive. I think these people were tying Blu for the first time. It was great for the first week or so. Then an atty fried, then none of the batteries would work. Blu did get me interested in vaping, but it just couldn't keep up with my 1 1/2 pack a day habit. But I've told people before, Blu is for "social/light" smokers. When you go to their website and see their commercial, everybody is hanging out in a nightclub, not stressing and having a great relaxing time. They don't show some guy chain smoking, stressed and pulling his hair out. (Okay, so that probably wouldn't make somebody want to try it LOL.) But the point is, with a lot of other devices, you could be stressed and vaping your brains out. Blu just can't keep up with that.

I ordered Blu based on a friend telling me about it. I had no idea there was more than one type of e-cig at the time. The following day I did my normal research I do for a new toy, and found out the truth and ordered a 510 kit w/PCC. The 510 beat the Blu to my doorstep so I started out on that. Once the Blu arrived I was going to send it back, but my wife wanted to use it until I got her a better one. It's not a bad device, but I was already spoiled by the 510. I then ordered an eGo because even the 510's batteries were too weak.

The end result is that the Blu is being sold to someone who wanted it, wife is using the 510, and I'm happily vaping on my Ego.

Just to give you an idea of how reviews can be different. I killed 510 batteries in 1-2 hours max, while my wife can use the same one all day long. So her review of the 510 would be much better than mine. Also she likes a smaller device, whereas I could care less I just want performance. So again she would rate the 510 higher than the eGo, and I would rate them the opposite. It really depends on what you NEED in battery life and vapor production, and what you want it to look like.

Thank you for the heads up. I didn't know that at all!

I wish I would have found this site earlier, I didn't know the e-cig market was so perilous.

I started with Smoking Everywhere because it was the first electronic cigarette I'd ever seen. Someone had mentioned that these little items were being sold at a mall kiosk, and I went right out and bought one. (Regretfully.) I wish I'd done some research, because I thought the Smoking Everywhere e-cigs were a novelty... I had no idea how many were actually out there. When I found out, though, it made my head spin. The Smoking Everywhere device never did work right; when it worked, it worked very well, but that was more of an exception rather than the rule. At least now I'm on the right track.
