BluCig 100 Compatible Cartomizers?

I am currently smoking a BluCig 100 that was bought about a month ago (Dec. 2012).

I would like to know what specific brands of prefilled cartomizers are compatible with this (without adjusting or modifying the battery in any way)?

I am very pleased with my BluCig and do not want to change to another at this time. My only wish is for more flavors.

While I have learned a great deal from reading others' posts, I may be suffering from information overload. I have learned that I may be looking for "standard resistance" or "2.5 or 3.0 ohm" and that I either need "306 cartomizers" or "510's." My battery, according to Blu's wiki is "226 mAH." I have also been told it is an "L88B," but I have read posts that seem to conflict with this. While I wish I understood this, I must sadly accept the fact that I am a newbie in this regard, and this is all Greek to me. With this in mind, could someone either sufficiently dumb this down for a lowly newb and/or recommend some specific brands and cartos (and perhaps where to get them) that will fit the BluCig 100?

If this has been done before, and I missed the post, please accept my apologies and direct me to that post. Thank you so much in advance.

PS - I have read that Volcano cartos will work. Some say I will have to adjust my battery, and some say I will not. Anyone know for sure?

Dunno about the 100 model, but the standard Blu is a L88b battery. It's just a model number though.

Volcano, Jet Cigs, and the Sidesho by Modern Vapor will work. Preferred Smoke has atties and carts for the J108 model which will work, but they don't have cartomizers outside of a kit. Modern Vapor is the only one with blank cartos that I know of.

Any adjustment to your battery will be to the center pin. You just gently lift up on it a tad bit. I always do this to the carto so as not to ruin the battery. You only need to do this if the carto won't fire in order to help make a proper connection.

Any other 8.5 mm cartomizer or atomizer that's 510 threaded will also work on the Blu, but outside of the ones mentioned they're pretty hard to find in the States.

You can use 306 or even 510 equipment on the Blu, but they'll be a wider diameter than the battery and may look a bit funny.

Hi Pixie. First welcome to the ECF.

So you have a slim 510 device. For a direct connection cartomizer you will want to find those with 510 threading. I do agree with your assessment of 2.5-3ohms also. You do also have the option to get yourself an adaptor from the 510 theading to 808 threading. Like this 510 to 808D Adapter | Vapor4Life . Here is the delimma. The 510 cartos do have a limited array of pre-filled flavors. The 808 threading not so much. I would say that the 808 threading has at least five(or ten) times the selection on the prefilled cartos. That site where I posted with the adaptor, has a humungous selection of prefilled cartos, in various ohm loads.

Eventually you should consider buying blank cartos and liquid so you can fill your own, save a couple bucks, and get a lot more control over the longevity of the cartos themselves. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

I actually started a thread in the Volcano section about this.
Volcano was very helpful. Another option is Jet Cigs. I just received my first order from them. The flavors are quite good. Their Tobacco is better than Blu. Mint Mojito is delicious. Volcano runs a weekly sale. But I noticed they usually sell out in high nicotine. Jet Cig high nic cartos are 22mg. They look a little funny on the 100 battery. They are shorter than Blu cartos & a bit thinner. But they work just as well. The draw is actually smoother. Vapor production and throat hit seem better. They will give you half off your first order. CHECKOUT50 is the coupon code. Some people who are not Premium 100 owners. Might tell you that any 510 threaded cartridge will work. That's not quite true. Blu Original Cartos will fit. But the 100 battery will burn through them quickly. Vea & some Ego style ones, are too low resistance to work. I know because I learned the hard way. Also since the Blu battery is not sealed. If you try to fill your own & juice gets inside it. It will fry the battery. And that will void the warranty. I bought the Vea specifically to fill my own. It has a sealed manual battery. With the Blu, I'll stick with prefilleds. The Jet ones cost $6 per five pack. I wish I could get them at that price forever. The order arrived in 4 days.

Thanks for the tip! I think I will be ordering from there very soon! I love the flavor selection, and hadn't really heard of Jet Cigs. I really don't care if they look funny. All I care is that I have only had 2 and a half analogues all day thanks to my second try at e-cigs. After 19 years of smoking, I may finally make it out of this! Yay!!!

Only part I don't understand is why you want prefilled cartos. A prefilled carto has about 1.5ml of juice in it. Do you just toss them when they go dry? I normally put about 30ml of juice through a carto before I toss them.

Blu batteries aren't sealed. If juice leaks in. It will fry it & void the warranty. Also for convenience. Blu cartos are a nightmare to refill. I bought the Vea for a better vaping experience @ home. It's also a sealed device, that is meant to be refilled.
