Hey everyone! I was going to post this in the blucig specific forum but since I can't post there yet, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here.

I just ordered my first ecig - a blucig Starter Kit - yesterday (Sunday, September 12th). First of all, I wish I would have done a little more research before I ordered it, because I've heard a lot of mixed reviews. A lot of stories of shipping issues, inconsistent vapor production, and problems within the first 24 hours.

I'm not looking to cancel my order and buy something else. Since this is my first ecig, I figured I might as well just try it and see how I like it before I decide to order something better. So I have quite a few questions related to blucigs that hopefully someone can answer for me.

1) I ordered my black starter kit yesterday, which was a Sunday. I live in southwestern PA. Does anyone have any idea how long this would take to arrive? I got an email telling me I would recieve a second email to confirm the credit card charge after the order was processed, which I expected would be today, but nothing yet. I've heard mixed things here - Sometimes it comes within a few days, sometimes it doesn't arrive for a week or two.

2) How is the blucig for a new user? I mean, its my first ecig so I don't have extremely high expectations, especially after reading some reviews. I smoke about 10-20 cigarettes a day, so hopefully the whole issue with vapor production won't bother me too much.

3) Can anyone provide tips for a new user? blucig specific tips would be especially helpful. I know of some mods and what not but I don't really want to get into all that yet.

4) I was curious about dipping. I read that the blucig is great for dipping. However, since I bought the starter kit, do I need to buy ejuice seperately? Or can I just open the cartridges and pour the juice into a container? This is probably a stupid question, because honestly, I don't really know how the cartridges work. There could be tiny little wizards in there for all I know.

Thanks a ton in advance for any help you can provide. I look forward to my first ecig experience and to kicking analogs to the curb finally.

Buy juice it will keep you cost down and then you can dip. There are alot of places to buy fom some of the less expensive ones are strictlyejuice.com or VikingVapor.com and for really good but a little more costly try VelvetVapors.com they have nice samples 5- 3ml bottles for $12. Blu sometimes ship in a few days from ordering or a month after it just depends how back logged they are. If you find that you are not happy with your Blu completely then try some mods like Blue Foam maybe an atomizer from Volcanoecigs.com and volcano sells good juice too. I love my Blu. I have a 510 and a KR808 and I really use my Blu and my 510 the most and the parts are interchangeable. I used mine for a few months before I bought a 510 and it completely got me off cigaettes. Right now I am using Blu batteries and PCC with 510 cartomizers and am very happy I can still use my PCC which is very handy. Hope this helps

im gonna be completley honest with you i ordered it and it really wasent even worth keeping send it bak right away and you get a full refund and order a joye 510 or joye eGo. there are mods to it but the regular 510s would be better than even a modded Blu. The battery life is nonexistent and the product itself is just not worth it go through the ECF libarary and look at the illustrated guide to vaping in the stickies.

i promise u wont regret it i have a 510 which i like and im getting an ego which is even better make the investment and you will save the time frustration and money :)

Thanks for the quick replies! After reading these and doing a bit more research I'm actually considering (even though I said I wasn't going to) cancelling my order and ordering a joye 510 from elctronicstix. The only problem is I have no idea how to cancel my order from blucig, especially since I went through checkout as a guest rather than making an account.

Or perhaps I'll just wait it out and buy a joye 510 when I get annoyed with my blucig.

If you really want to cancel then Call Toll Free: 1-888-207-4588

For billing inquiries: billing@blucigs.com
For shipping inquiries: shipping@blucigs.com

Thanks! I'll save these. I'm thinking I'll just try out the blucig and send it back if I don't like it.

And one other question.. has anyone tried the Djarum Black eJuice from myfreedomsmokes? :D Blacks were a favorite of mine before they were removed from the US market. I'm curious as to how close the juice tastes to a clove cigarette.

Welcome to the forum! I'm vaping on a Blu right now. After my cartridges ran out, which did last 3 to 6 hours for me for each one, although YMMV, I started buying E-Liquid from Johnson Creek and it goes a long way to save you money as it's cheaper than buying cartridges. Now I can drip or dip with them, which makes the throat hit feel more like a real cigarette to me, but I don't enjoy doing that because it's tedious. I simply refill the old Blu polyfill in the cartridges with the new juice I've bought. Lipton Pyramid Tea Bag mods might be a solution for me in the future. The Blu is known as a super-mini and it's an L88b with a different style atomizer than most of the popular brands on this forum.

When I need more vapor production I add some Wilton Glycerine to my juice and man that e-cig gives out gorgeous plumes of vapor. I love the short size. It feels like a cig, I dangle it from my mouth as I type, and the PCC looks awesomely retro like something out of the 1920's, not to mention it's very convenient when you're on the go. It does the job for me except for one major fail: The battery life is terrible. Common to super-minis of course. I'm getting less than an hour on a charge these days. It all depends on how you vape.

So I'm excited about purchasing a Joye 510 to get that increased vapor production, longer battery life and hopefully better concentrated taste. Having said that, my Blu is something I'll never get rid of. It's the perfect combination of size and style for me. And more importantly, it got me off analogs.

In 2008-2009 their shipping was a mess. I still hear they take ages to ship starter kits, well over 2 weeks - which is shameful. Hope this helps a bit.

I got my Blu starter kit very quickly - -they are in Charlotte, I'm in Greensboro (both in NC). That may have been one reason I had such a good delivery time. I found that the vapor production was very inconsistent with the cartridges that came with it. So, I decided to return it and ordered a RIVA and some juices. So, when these arrived and my RIVA batteries were charging I added some juice to a Blu cartridge and tried it. Actually, the hit and vapor production weren't too bad. If the batteries had lasted longer, I may have been tempted to keep the Blu. But, I ended up sending it back for a refund. I LOVE my RIVA. So, if you decide to try the Blu, don't judge it by the cartridges that come with it. Add some juice to one and see how that works for you. If you don't need a PV that looks like a cigarette, consider a RIVA or eGo (pretty much the same thing, from what I understand). I think these may be a little more substantial units. Let us know how things work out for you! Whether the Blu, or something else, as long as you are able to make vaping work for you is what matters.

Don't even open the Blu. Just cancel or send it back. If you try it out they charge you for using the carts. The ONLY way to really get your money back is to not use it at all.

I've tried a lot of things to make my Blu work as advertised and it's nearly impossible. Get a 510 or eGo, you'll be 1000 times happier.

I decided I'm going to give the blucig a chance. I'll try it out when it gets here (which probably won't be for a year :p) and if I'm not a fan, I'll send it back and get a 510 model.

One last question, though. Concerning dipping. I hear the blu is actually great for dipping. Since I didn't buy any juice seperate, can I just open a cartridge, remove the filler, and pour the ejuice in there to out to use to dip? (Like I said, first ecig, I have no idea how this works.)

i started with the blucig too and regret not canceling the order.

i live in philly and i got mine in 4 days, but you might have to wait longer due to they are normally out of the black kits so you may have to wait for them to get in stock.

blu was my 1st also and well on the 2nd day i had it i ordered a revolver, so i doupt you will like it, you really should concider canceling the order i wish i did.

what i do with my blu (untill my ego gets here) is i bored out the end you pull from to make a large hole. took out the cart that holds the liquid in it, and i drip like 3 drops in it and smoke away, it works the best this way, just sucks haveing to drip like every 8 or 10 drags, but it works.

yes you will need to get juice. get a smaple pack of juice with diffrent flavors untill you know what you like the best.

That's a good question because I've personally never actually pulled out the polyfill to squeeze juice out of it for dripping. I would just wait until you have juice. If you're going to open a cartridge anyway just use it. I don't suck on that thing like an animal so the cartridges did pretty well for me - hours of vaping.

If you like your PV and you want to drip, since the atty is exposed on the Blu I just baste it like a turkey with three drops on the bridge of the atomizer and try my best to make sure that no juice enters the battery. Not being a 'sealed' battery you can ruin them quickly with dripping, although I have yet to ruin one. I'll probably do a video about this today. Taste, TH and vapor production is incredible when you drip with a Blu.

Has anyone ordered from nicotinenirvana.com? $30 on a Joye 510 starter kit. Too good to pass up, forget blu.

Ive ordered from Nicotinenirvana.com

If you order a 510 from them get the ultimate 510 kit. Car charager, passthrough, etc. Its really worth the extra money. Plus they are a fantastic company Ive ordered from them several times ( gear and juice ) and its always been a good experience.

No dont try that. There is tin foil covering the filler and it will be a big mess trying to remove it to salvage the juice.

You CAN dip with the Blu, in fact its probably the best way to vape with the Blu, but in the end the hassle of it all isnt worth the hit or miss performance youll get from the device.

Like me, you will try to make it work until you just give in and either , like me break down and buy a 510 ( from nicotine nirvana apparently, also like me hehe ) or you go back to analogs, which after the frustrations with the Blu I almost did as well.

The Blu carts have so little filler and so little juice in them its really not worth the trouble. Not even half of the juice I can fit into my 510 cart.

The Blu carts have a little removable "cup" inside them. You can get it out by pushing a bent paper clip through the hole on the mouth end of the cart.

When I first started vaping I started with a BLU and I think I tried pretty much everything to get it to work as advertised. Its not a terrible device but I was never happy with it.
