My name is April. I'm totally new to this and wanted to intoduce myself and ask a couple questions.

I'm from OKC and I'm 21 years old. I've been smoking since I was 12 and I just ordered the starter kit from BluCigs a couple days ago.

I've noticed that not too many people are fond of BluCigs. I'm seriously considering canceling my order and finding a new brand. But I've had a really hard time finding comparisons on here. Things seem to spread out based on individual brands, models, etc. And there is A LOT of info to sort through on here.

My Questions:

  1. Should I cancel my order with BluCigs (I mean, are they really that bad)?
  2. If it would be a good idea for me to cancel, what are some recommend brands?

Hi April.

I am also new to vaping. Its been about two weeks. I first caught the blu cigs advertisement and I immediately ordered it. It has been 12 days so far since I have ordered and they still have not even shipped it. I ordered a Gammuci starter kit from fixxnashville.com and got it in 2 days. I have been really happy with it, but once I caught eye of PureSmokers Prodigy unit. I immediately ordered that!!! I really cant wait to get that one!! You should look into it Seriously. puresmoker.com The Blu kit looks pretty nice, and I havent read any bad reviews yet, but I am really disappointed that it is taking this long. I read somewhere that the FDA has taken over some shippments coming in from China. I wonder if that is why it is taking this long? :grr: I am also contemplating canceling my order. My advice, start ordering some eliquid and blank cartridges right away to refill your cartridges, it is cheaper than buying the cartridges pre filled. Also, when you buy an electronic cigarettte starter kit, I would get an extra atomizer with it, because that is something can go also. Thats my 2cents. Best of luck.

Hi AprilRocks,

I noticed this post in the suppliers forum yesterday. I don't own this model myself, so I can't comment, but if you are looking for one in stock, here you go.

I do own a J118 which is a simular model & it's my fav. You can search on this forum for info on it and make your decision. It's also know as a VX2 from litecig.com, VX2 from esmokeronlie and a 902 from modernvapor.com

You can find more info on litecig on the front page of this site under their suppliers subforum (link). And you can find the post on modernvapor's store opening, and some info from esmokeronline in the E Cigarette Suppliers Forum at the bottom of the front page here (link). Here's a post from modernvapor and from esmokeronline for direct links and more info. I've purchased from both of these guys and was very happy with their products and customer service.

1. there seems to be a long wait, also the automatic batteries seem to be sensitve to noise and jarring. Most people here favor the manual batteries of other brands because of the control and dependability.

2. I love the 510 but there is a lot of options, based on individual needs.

I think you would be a lot better off switching to a more tried and true model, like the 901 or 510.. My husband & I both just got 901s and we have both stopped smoking and feel great :) The 510 has the manual switch (the 901 has one too but I can't find it as easy) and people swear by the manual switches.. I haven't tried it yet though, that will probably be our next thing. I think a fairly good rule of thumb is the smaller it is the quality is lesser.. and the Blu is the smallest.

Cancel the Blu order. Buy a 510 from any number of great suppliers (search and you'll find the list). You will have it in your hands in a matter of a few days. There is a reason that the 510 ROCKS! Buy one and you'll find out why...or just read some comments from those that already made the best vaping decision of their early vaping lives. :)

Thank you all for your replies. I ended up ordering the 510 from E-Smokey Treats.

I'm looking forward to getting it. I still need to call Blu and cancel. I called them yesterday but their entire system was down and they couldn't help me.

What confused me so much about this to begin with was the fact that these models are named things like 510. I assumed that a 510 was a specific model from certain brand. Maybe it is but it was a lot less confusing than I was making it out to be LOL.

I also got a Marlboro liquid but I guess before I refill I'm going to need one of those needle things? I'll figure it out.

The 510 Rocks!, e-smokeytreats is fast and friendly, you cant go wrong with that
if you bought your own liquid you will soon find out that you will need to learn how to re stuff our carts, it is really not hard just grab some pollybatting and start practicing, no to loose not to tight.
if you need help PM me with your questions, i have been vaping for just a couple of weeks but i have done tons of research and i am already trying out diferent cart fillers and mixing my own juice so if there is anything i can help you with let me know

Hello all!!

I have been officially introduced to the world of vaping by a couple of my co-workers, one of whom gave me a new Crown7 Hydro kit to get me started (he bought a BluCig and is still waiting for it to ship-over a week now). Likes, dislikes, comments, suggestions?

I will say that their customer service so far is outstanding - I emailed them that there seemed to be a problem, decreased performance and what not, and they are sending me a new atty FOC, and asked me to keep them posted if any more probs arise - what a breath of fresh air in today's world (no pun intended)!!

Another co-worker just received his new 510, and let me try out his DSE901 w/USB - totally rocks!! I'm seriously considering an upgrade when the economy affords me the oppty. Any suggestions?

Congrats to all who have kicked the analogs completely!!

FYI-I've smoked a pack a day of reg. MBoro analogs for the last 30 years-with my PV, it's down to a pack every 3 days.
