I'm also using the blue foam with straw, and at one point I THOUGHT I was tasting the foam. Turns out I had (mistakenly) swapped for a stock pre-fill cart and my spare (un-prepped/un-primed/un-cleaned, brand new) atty.

Also, on my foamed cart, I did get a little of the foam flavor when I sucked it dry yesterday. But when I say dry, I mean BONE DRY. That thing really does get every drop of liquid out of the cart.

Tip: Notching the straw to fit down into the V (on a 902 cart at least) probably made it possible to get all the liquid out. Be sure to do that!

The blue foam mod EASILY gets 2x the liquid into and out of a cart vs the stock poly fill. EASILY!

Okay, thanks. I don't think the blue foam adds any taste on its own and its by far the best I've used, but I TOTALLY agree with taste going away. Its been driving me crazy. Based on another thread, I switched my flavor last night just to see what would happen and so far I've been tasting the whole cart. Very weird. I'll go back to my fav flavor next and see what happens.

I don't get it either. If it's something we just have to live with I would still like to know what the causes are. Could it be the effects of liquid nicotine on our taste buds? I'm wondering if going to a lower nic would solve the on and off taste issue??? Maybe the sweetener in the juice is burning and causing the burnt taste??? Are the attys sporadically running too hot??? I wish we could get to the bottom of these taste issues, both the burnt and the non-existent.

I ended up using a straw with my blu foam mod. I've also used a straw with the top part of a PTB mod, which doesn't work quite as well.

Sometimes I can vape the thing dry. Other times, liquid gets stuck in it, usually behind these huge air bubbles I can't see to get out. Other times, the thing just starts tasting burnt right in the middle of the cart. I'll pull it out and mush down the foam a bit to get it moistened usually, if that happens. If that doesn't work, I dip my atomizer into a little liquid and that usually helps.

I'm beginning to wonder, however, if I get a burnt taste when my atomizer is "working too hard" or running hot, regardless of the liquid supply? So maybe the burnt taste is indicating to me to take slower drags or to put it down for a bit. ????

So...I've tried making it small (like a plug) or long (like cart filler). Neither makes much difference. One of two things happens.

Either I get a bunch of juice in my mouth or when I vape it I get this awful, horrible burned taste, but not like a regular, my-atty-is-too-dry burn taste, it also has a sort of undercurrent of wet paper taste to it. It is disgusting. (This also happens halfway through a PTB mod.)

I'm figuring that either I've got too much juice (snack/flood) or not enough (icky taste), but there is literally no middle ground here. No matter what I do, one of the above nasty things happens.

Also, I should mention I'm using a super-mini with an internal cart.

Any advice?

I am experiencing what you are saying with the no middle ground. 510 carts leaked or didnt get enough fluid no matter how i cut it, and this 902 is the same. with 901's however i was able to get carts to work flawlessly with blue foam/straw, but the 902 and 510's are either leaky as hell or trap all the juice inside.

Take your 902, try this, and tell me if it fixes your issues: 902 RSP Mod with Blue Foam

That's really odd. I only leaked once when I knew I overfilled - I was expecting it. Other than that, perfect vapor and taste and very consistent. Good luck.
