Blue Foam Mod with Straw - Atomizer gets very HOT !!!

Hi All

First let me say that the Blue Foam Mod with a Straw is the best most consistant way I've found to vape. I was so excited to get my EGO-T a few weeks ago thinking it was FINALLY the awnser for consistant on the go vaping but I've had so much trouble with the atomizers (FIVE of them!) that I gave up on that and started trying the mods. Let me say that with all the interest and sales in E-Cigarettes that I think it totally un-acceptable that there does not appear to be any products - Any Combination of Atomizers - Carts - Cartomizers, Kits etc. that are available to buy that work turn-key with minimum problems!

Anyway the Blue Foam mod works very well except for one complaint that I have that I have not really read about in the way of reports by others, and that is that with this mod the atomizer heats up much faster and hotter than I've ever seen before! So much so that if I'm vaping constantly the atomizer gets so HOT that I sometimes lick (Am I the only one that does this!) the side of the atomizer to cool it down before puffing some more! And it seems that if you just keep on vaping away without stopping to let it cool some (or LICK it!) that the taste gets bad until it cools just a bit.

Saying all that - If I vaped slowly (and normally!) with little breaks between the draws this mod is to me the best way to vape that I've found. I just hope that soon SOMEONE comes up with a tank, cartomizer, cartridges or even some new kind of electronic cigarette that doesn't need to be modified that provides consistant ECONOMICAL vaping!

So, I guess my question is - Has anyone else found this heat thing to be a problem when using the blue foam mod and/or does anyone else have a suggestion for the perfect way for consistant economical vaping without dripping? Any comments on all of this would be so appreciated - Thanks

Just a little update - I've been vaping all afternoon with the blue foam mod since I wrote this thread earlier today and WOW I did not understate at all how hot vaping with this mod gets the atomizer! And I tried 2 different atomizers with the same results - Great vaping until almost empty but the atomizer gets much hotter than with factory filled carts or any of the other kind of mods. VERY HOT - I don't think it possible that there is a fix for this but to me it makes a very good mod not so good!

I started out with a 510 using the same blue foam mod. It sounds to me like you are just vaping too heavily. The atomizer coil is a piece of metal that heats up every time you push the button. No mod is going to change that.

I'm using an eGo and I direct drip and I still get a hot atty if I get carried away. Just take a break and let the atty cool down. There really is nothing else to do.

I am having exactly the same problem. My atty gets so hot and I'm flying through juice and getting nasty tastes from my atty.

I use a Riva and the blue foam with straw mod and LR atty.

The only solution I've come up with is two-fisting. I use both of my Riva battery set ups with juice and vape away.

I would love to hear of a better solution from someone more experienced.

BTW I don't do this all day. Just at times when I'm craving cigs or drinking.

Just get some Boge LR cartos and be done with it.
