Thats one hell of a Fluval system you have there.
I'm going to have to brush up on my trigonometry and get back to you.
Yeah, Fluval is good stuff too.
And also easier to find in pet stores.
The air cells are bigger than the blue foam.
I have and use both, never had a leakage problem with either.
From my experience they are both excellent cart filler material.
On the other hand I've never met a poly fill I liked.
Damn polyester.

Forget about the blue foam, where did you get $1.50 attys.
Holy Crap Man, Give It Up

Alibaba Express. You can pay with paypal and it goes into an escrow so the money isn't released untill after you inspect your package. I buy all kinds of stuff from them at wholesale prices. Nice thing is that I haven't even lost one yet and I was going through an atty every two or three weeks.

Ps, they are 510 atties.

Oh yah don't let them ship it Fed Ex. Go with EMS or China post. Fed Ex turns it over to customs and you get stuck paying an extra $30 in processing fees and then another $5 for the customs. Plus you have to fill out paperwork with Homeland Security. I bought a couple hundred AA boxes and five amp switches and they got me for the extra on the AA boxes. It ticked me off because I had no Idea they were going to charge me the extra fees. I don't mind paying customs but $30 for filing the paper work was not cool, considering that I had to fax it all in and all they did was e-mail me the papers.

Forget the tea bag method, way too much screwing around. Leakage is more of a problem too.
Marineland "Rite Size U" blue foam filter sleeves, one pack will last you for life.

Well, went to the petsmart, got the blue foam, got home, fortunately, the first piece I cut was right size so all I can is WOW, huge difference than teabags and of course polyfill.
Thanks again.

I know - had to wait weeks for my Petsmart to get it in stock and there was only one package left when I got there.

Someone else went through the same thing, finally caught it in stock, got in a long slow line, finally discovered it was a customer service line, got in right line, paid, finally got home, then knocked over her whole bottle of juice!

If anyone has standard 510 carts or has 901 round-tip carts (basically the same standard 510 carts) then you can buy cheap precut blue foam pieces at strictlyejuice.com (75 cents for 10 pieces). I even cut those down for my m401.

I was really hot to try the Marineland blue foam and found it at a local aquarium shop but not in the right size. I told the salesperson what I needed it for and he said because it is "bonded" it is probably not safe to use. After smoking cigs for 40 years I probably shouldn't be concerned! Anyone have any thoughts on this?

He probably thought you were going to smoke it. Pet smart is modding a new "Vapors section" complete with a napkin and alcohol kiosk. Just kidding!

I make my blue foam plugs for the 510 carts look like a baseball home plate with the tip extending into the juice compartment maybe 65-70%?. I'm experimenting with folding blue foam in a ego mega cart as well as trying the fluval. Fluval may work better with a thicker VG juice such as I like since it is certainly more airy.

with my smoke fifty one trio that i paid way too much for at the mall, the blue foam plug on top of the spring mod was the only way i was able to take consistent big hits. Now with my joye 510 i modded a cart the same way and it works just as good but i dont know if i really need it because the 510 works great right out of the box.
also noticed its not a great idea to use the foam and spring at work where im putting down the e cig alot because it has more of a tendancy to leak, but works good at home when im chain vaping.

Credo, this thread is about the Blue Foam mod..... which I just did.

I've been vaping for 29 hours(in my entire life), past out from nico overdose twice, and love this blue foam mod.

Even with only 29hours of e cig experience, I can definitely appreciate the difference between the BF vs the stock Polyfill in the eGo.
