What am I doing wrong? I cut the foam slightly larger than the opening of the cart, and placed it in there. It is the correct foam, I believe. It's what I read on here to get. Marineland Bonded Foam Sleeve "U".

Am I cutting it wrong? What are some troubleshooting pointers?

Btw I am using a Vgo 900mAh battery, and Im not sure the ohms of the atomizer. It came standard with the Revolver Starter Kit..

some extra info:
if i leave it be for a minute or two the burning taste seems to subside. Maybe it gets dry really fast? Also, it happens more when I take long, slow rips. ( even though thats how I was taught to vape >__< )
Oh, and when the burning flavor happens there is no throat hit either. its like burnt air.

Chuck the cart & the blue foam, put on a drip tip and drip drip drip, you will be way better off..!!! Just try it, for the time you end up messing with those carts you can add a couple drips through your drip tip and get a way better vape, more vapor and way more flavor, just my 2c

OK, but if your lazy its the lazy way to vape really, for as much time as you spend messing with those little carts and pulling them apart to remod the foam and filling you are really better off dripping, to each there own though I understand, you may want to look at the Ego-T it could solve your issues, or a bottom feed Mod, unless you want to stick with just a small ecig but they just don't vape to well in my opinion, the flavor is outstanding on some of the Mods out today, give the button a little squeeze and vape away on a Reo/Ali'i/Phidias/ or even a CE2 or fluxomizer or now the Giantmizer, I'm an Atty guy though and I swear buy dripping and if you put the right Atty and drip tip on it really is quite good and less time then fussing with those carts, but again I understand if you want a cart, and if thats it you also may want to try a good carto maybe from Ikenvape, his cartos are pretty good but again if your an Atty person only I get it.

Width differs per cart. You want a bit more width to discourage it from slipping down into the juice cup.

Tapering lets the loose juice get closer to the upper 1/2 of the plug.

If you have 510 carts and don't have success, try the precut 510 blue foam at stritlyejuice.com and see if their shape works for you.

And I recommend trying cartomizers - they don't need juice as often.

my ecig isnt small, as far as i know.. it's a Vgo, isnt that essentially an Ego knockoff? lol everyone seems to swear by 510's, which is what mine is. Bahh I'm getting frustrated.

Have you really tried a good LR-510 with a nice pyrex drip tip ? I'm telling you right ow for as much fussing that you have to do with that rig your using it is a real hassle, you may want to try this set up I recommend unless you have and havent liked it but so many do, also try some of Issacs carto's from Ikenvape dot com, he also sells a Mega 510 Carto that holds a load of juice that is very good, you may also really like the Ego-T which will fit your unit as well as the clear fluxomizers from Gotvapes dot com, check em out, will be worth your time Xokendra

The blue foam should be cut only slightly wider than the opening. You want it wide enough to stay put, but compacting it too much will not allow juice to seep through. About 15mm wide would be a good place to start. If you want to get a little more elaborate, the Blue Foam Dart (BFD) mod is the next step. In any case, your burnt taste was very likely due to a dry atomizer, meaning that you likely have a little too much foam in there.

On the subject other things to try, the new Smart Carts like these from GotVapes are a great improvement over standard carts and have been working pretty well for me, even with LR atties.

How can you even try and say dripping is less time consuming than using a cart? Once the foam is cut to the right size, it takes maybe 20 seconds to fill (if not less), and that's every few hours. Dripping you're constantly stopping to put a couple more drops in, which takes a few seconds.
