I have a Riva 510 and use the blue foam mod for the filter. My question is should I just put 5-6 drops at the end or fill up the cartridge first, insert the foam, and then add a couple of drops at the end? Will the atomizer be able to vaporize the liquid at the bottom of the foam? Does it last a lot longer and does all the liquid actually reach the atomizer?

I don't fill to near the top - tempting fate to put too much juice in a cart. I would fill 1/2 way, or 2/3 of the way if I felt daring, then insert the tapered end of the foam and press the foam down into the liquid to wet the foam. Then reposition the foam at the top edge, then top it off with 2-3 drops or whatever it needs to look damp but not a puddle.

Mostly I just don't use carts though. I either dripping to test juices and Boge cartomizers to vape the ones I like.

I am currently using a smart cart style cup cartridge its what came with the mega t-rex from LF. I quickly switched to the blue foam and have settled on the Blue Foam Dart as outlined in the Modders Forum. This method for me shows the most fluid usage of all with the blue foam. When i fill/refill i fill the cup 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up to the top place the dart in the cup and position the foam so that its at or below the top edge of the cup. if the foam still looks dry after absorbing the fluid from the cup i place 2-3 more drops so that it looks mushy but not pooled. hope this helps!

What type of Cartridge are you all referring too? I have an eGo with Mega blank carts with the original white fill in them. Should I remove the filling paper and fill my carts? I have just been dripping my juice onto the poly-fill until it is some what soaked in juice then add a few drops on the atty and vape it.

The filler pre-installed in carts is generally inferior. Blue foam is better; tea bag mods are better still:

That said, my own experience is that among the big 3—carts, cartos and dripping—carts are the least effective. Before you go to the trouble of cutting up a tea bag, I'd recommend pulling out the filler entirely and try direct dripping, if just for the eye-opening flavor.
