Disclaimer: I haven't tried the tea bag.

Having said that, the Blue Foam works very well. I have no desire to try the teabag mod. My experience may not be normal, but I seem to get more liquid in a blue foam cart, than I do with the "Zero Filler mod". Not sure why, other than the sttraw in the ZFM takes up too much room. Haven't tried the highping mod of the blue foam method, but i don't think it would gain me much. I am currently getting about 18 drops using the blue foam.

Apologies for the off-topic comment, but info on the Zero Filler Mod is here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...supplier-forum/53487-zfm-zero-filler-mod.html

I started vaping 20 months ago, hated the filler in carts, tried everything! When the blue foam thread came out I tried it and it worked great! The thread got lost in the forum and I never heard another thing about it. At some point I decided it needed to be revived due to the success I'd been having. I used it everyday until i switched to the CE2's a few months ago. You would think it was a lot of blue foam but I only bought the one package and only used part of one sleeve. For attys, this is by far the best, if you do it right. If you're really interested, read the original thread, lots of good information in there.
As for PTB, I tried it but it always leaked!
Hope this helps.

Not to toot my own horn, but please don't knock PTB until you've actually tried the PTB Made Easy mod! :) If done exactly as described, I swear it addresses a lot of the issues with other PTB mods - no rolling, shredding or complicated measuring or stuffing. Easy to make and maintain, rinse and reuse, wicks dry every time, rarely leaks if done right and not over-filled. Takes 8-10 drops. Once made, just pop it out, rinse clean and pop it back in. I've been able to use the same PTB for weeks this way. It actually seems to get better the longer you use it - like it "seasons" or something??

I haven't switched to cartos because refilling is more affordable for me (and easier to refill with carts - no syringes or popping off ends) and I prefer my Octane Mochaccino over pre-filled flavors! I also prefer the flavor and vapor over dripping with SOME liquids and it's more convenient when driving.

While no cart is perfect or ideal for every vaper's situation, if you're not happy with your current carts/cartos, I hope you will give it a try - you won't be sorry! :)

I guess i don't understand the benefit of the PTB mod. With it, one gets about 8-10 drops. With the blue Foam, one gets about 18 drops. I think people who put less than 18 drops in do so because they are afraid it will leak. Mine hasn't leaked at all. I put 15 drops into a blank cartridge, then insert the blue foam, and put 3 more drops on top to prime the filler. Works great. When done, just rinse the cart and blue foam and it is as good as new.

I am not knocking anybodies method, whatever works for you is good.

Wow! Are you using a mega cart? How many drops do you get in with refills - meaning, does it vape dry or is liquid "trapped" in the cart? I've never read people getting that much in a cart. If it's true for everyone, I'd agree blue foam is better for holding more volume, but I've seen a lot of people complain it's difficult getting it cut right to avoid leaking and liquid retention. Maybe there has been some innovations made in that department I don't know about - I admit it's been a while since I've looked at new cart mods, since I've been happy with mine. I'm also lazy and don't like mods that require you to remove the filler to refill - I just want to be able to drip it in and go. Just goes to show why no filler is right for everyone - even no filler at all (dripping) isn't for everyone. It's a combination of so many factors (ease to make, ease to fill/refill, ease of cleaning, vapor production, flavor, availability of materials, frequency of refilling, etc) and what is most important to the user.

I guess the truth of it is that there is no clear "winner." You just have to try different things and figure out what you like best. But having all of the options available are what truly make vaping cool! :)

I use just regular carts. It does vape dry, and doesn't burn. I may be lucky in how I cut the foam, but I didn't do anything special. Just cut it so it would fit inside. It is true that one needs to remove the filler to get the best experience, and for me it is worth the extra step. I haven't actually ever tried to refill without removing the filler. I'll have to try that sometime.

Cool! If nothing else, blue foam and PTB are worlds better than stock polyfil!

When I refill, I shove the foam to the bottom of the cart, fill almost to the top and gently grab the foam and pull it back to the top. This way, the air doesn't get trapped in the bottom of the cart. You do need to make sure you don't leave spaces between the foam and the cart but it's easy after you get used to it. A few seconds to refill and it does take more than 8-10 drops. I used the same foam for a long time since I usually only vape one flavor.
