Early morning: so as I laid down I thought about it and found a glaring error above. I will have them go to the main panel room. There Angel will wait with their backpacks (Too heavy for simple actions inside) to wait for the signal from Shawn. The sound of the flashbang, then throwing the lights to the whole building would make it suitable for the night vision infa red goggles.

When the jet landed on the aircraft carrier, all of the passengers were getting off; they stood from their seats. Blue had slept all the way, Katz had gazed out the window, her mind on Darling and her family and how they had to leave so fast. She worried as it was so sudden, when the door opened she got off first frustrated.

Blue was waiting to be the last off and she watched Katz storm through the entrance as others were awaiting them. Blue got off just in time to see Mandy hug her husband and kids, she went with them. Katz went to the dinner area and later spoke with Angel.

Mandy made it to their room, and the door opened for them; the TV was on. “You have to watch this.” Said her husband and she saw the red tape on the bottom of the screen and “Breaking News” in bold on the TV, BBC was listed on the side. Mandy sat down and listened. “And just as soon as the mysterious city appeared, it is now confirmed that it is gone. All the buildings look to have been replaced to the original, the streets are all back. We have received calls from people affected and are going to see if any will talk to us.”

The journalist went on with the camera crew from their helicopter, and came to an elderly man. “Can we talk to you sir?” “Of course.” He said back. “Can you tell us what happened and how do you feel?” The man looked at them and said. “It was pleasant to be honest, a beautiful city; no one I knew was complaining. We had the choice to leave if we wished and none of us did. The lifestyle was modern but calmer. I do not recall any crime as we were there. It seemed magical if that makes sense.”

He continued. “Then one day there seemed to be some type of issue, you saw guards all around, especially around one house in which a man was heard to have been attacked. There were rumors of him being poisoned and this caused a big issue. Alarms were sounded and the city went on lockdown; though you could still go.”

The blonde woman, her hair in a bun asked. “Can you describe the city?” The man paused for a moment clearly thinking. “It was different, I had never seen a city made for the strict purpose of food for all. At the very top at the city center, there were roses, flowers of every kind, but fruit trees and gardens with green beans, peas; you name it. Every type of plant and animal and a strange; how do I say it. It was like the city had all types of weather, from one spot of the city to another the temperature even the humidity changed.”

“The queen of the city spoke to us all as best she could her name Darling, she had powers; I know this sounds stupid. But one day she created snow for one section, on a sunny bright day. Again I am not sure what all happened but just as fast as it all appeared it suddenly was gone; it felt a little tense to say the least.”

Mandy watched as her husband sat beside her on the sofa, purple with four extra pillows, her daughter sat between Mandy’s legs as she mindlessly played with her hair listening. “So what happened?” Mandy turned to him and said. “Count was attacked, but we apparently were having our memories erased and going through the same days over and over, a continuous loop. Anjel somehow figured it out and “awoke” as she said. She pleaded for us to go as she felt danger for us.”

“Why would someone poison Count? And go after all of you?” “I am not sure.” She responded and then asked. “So what has gone on while we were visiting?” Her husband said back. “The island was attacked as well as this ship.” “What?!” He nodded. “We are told the ship was hit by torpedoes, and that lives have been lost here and on the island; they are not sure who yet or how many.”

“That is terrible, who would do such a thing?” as they looked at each other he said. “I am glad you're back and safe though.” She kissed him, they hugged and she laid her head on his shoulder as they continued to watch the news.

After securing the nuclear plant and fixing the wire that was severed, the rain was pouring. Shawn did find the jeep with the keys still in it; no one had ever thought of security on the island to this degree; until now. Angel and John assisted Amlowe onto the passenger seat, she slowly got into the jeep as the rain fell. “How are you feeling?” asked Angel in a louder pitch to be heard over the wind and rain.

“I feel very sore, my chest hurts.” The rest got into the jeep, and Shawn pressed on the accelerator slowly trying to creep forward for Amlowe, but needed more traction. He had to give the jeep more gas to get unstuck as the sand was getting drenched, pools of water were forming and the hole was filled quickly.

The jeep lurched forward finally and Shawn had to steer right quickly as the jeep wanted to turn left, Amlowe grunted. “Sorry.” he placed his hand over to her and held her back, like a child as he saw a dip. They all lunged forward and Amlowe stated. “Maybe walking would be better.” Angel behind Amlowe had her hands on her shoulders. “I don’t think you are going to walk back, we could carry you; but it would take longer.”

Shawn finally got a good pace going faster than walking and smoother. “Some day in the future we might want to build a road. He came to the runway and moved onto it and from there the drive back was smooth.

The lights of the city center started to show a little through the rain and the headlights finally shone on the jet sitting on the runway. He slowed down and made sure they could pass around it, without hitting any part of the jet. They finally made it back and dripping wet soaked to the bone.

The wind cut through them and Shawn parked the jeep and turned it off. They all got off and helped Amlowe, they made it to the center and opened the door for Amlowe, she carefully walked inside and they were dripping water all over the floor. One of the nurses turned and looking, quickly grabbed towels and came over.

“We need a wheelchair, or a roller bed.” Shawn dried off with a towel just enough to not drip a ton and took off his shoes, water coming out. He left as the others carefully dried Amlowe and made sure she was soon out of her wet clothes and wrapped in blankets. Shawn came back with a roller bed, as there were many.

“Okay can you get on yourself?” Amlowe nodded yes and slowly got on and it took them to help her to lay back. “Let’s go get you an x-ray and see what is going on.” They followed her. But as they came to the x-ray room, the nurse said. “Please have some privacy, if you could clean up the mess and find something warm for her to eat, soup would be best; we need to get her body temperature back to normal.

“Your body is under stress.” The nurse took the bandage off carefully and could see her chest, blue and purple had set it. “Yup it looks like you have broken ribs, let me get you a shot of pain killer.” She went to the cabinet and took out a bottle and carefully filled a needle with the liquid. “This will work much faster for you than swallowing pills which will be hard right now anyway.”

Amlowe nodded yes and the nurse swabbed her left shoulder and injected the needled and gave her the pain killer. The nurse took out the needle and held her cotton swab on her for a moment and then cleaned it with alcohol and covered it with a bandage.

As the nurse worked on getting the x-ray the drug started to take effect and she could see Amlowe’s eyes getting heavy, the pain hidden and her body relaxed. “That is much better.” The nurse after some time came back and told Amlowe. “Well the good news is none of your ribs are actually broken, but you do have three with mini fractures.”

She continued. “So bed rest and bandaging and you should be good to go in a few days, slowly of course.” Amlowe said back. “I can promise you I will rest.” The nurse smiled at her. “I am sure you will.” She opened the door and Angel and Shawn were outside waiting. They had dressed into dry clothes and cleaned up the water on the floor, a mop beside the entrance, wet towels piled on the floor.

The nurse asked Angel to help and they rolled her across the smooth floor to a room, the temperature was a pleasant 75. “Okay one more time.” The two helped her up, trying to keep the pressure of her chest and she moved to the bed, Shawn brought in a bowl of hot chicken noodle soup and set it on the table beside her, with a spoon, and a cup of water.

“Thank you.” She said and the nurse opened the curtains, the rain continued to pour; but with the sound and effects. Amlowe was soon about to fall asleep. “If you need anything, press this button okay?” Amlowe nodded as the nurse placed two blankets on top of her. Angel smiled at her and went out, they left the door slightly open. Amlowe fell asleep before eating.

John got dry and changed as well, his wife heard them and came to help clean up as well. “How are you?” She asked. “As good as can be expected, and you?” She said back. “Good thank you, are you tired?” John nodded yes. After the others showed with John they moved his son to a room alone with a chair, sofa and a rollaway bed.

His son was already asleep and looked comfortable so quietly they got out the roller and put pillows on it for John’s wife and John laid down on the soffa with a few blankets and two pillows. “Good night.” The rain helped them to all fall asleep.

Three very long phone calls hold on will get back to it......

The man got off his carriage, Anjel and Katz hopped down and looked around. “You will want to follow me quickly inside.” He put on brakes for the carriage and went to his door and taking a key unlocked it and opened. “Please hurry.” Anjel and Katz went in; Road heard them and got up covered in hay and brushed himself off fast, he unloaded their bags to the man and they moved in.

“Sorry about the state of things, you can put your stuff down anywhere, let me get the door.” He closed it and locked it. “What is the urgency?” asked Anjel. He said to them. “I know who you two are.” He looked at Anjel and Katz. Anjel looked at him as Road asked. “How do you know them?”

The man had a full head of white, and a white beard, normal jeans, boots and a cowboy hat. “Everyone knows these two; they have been here more than once. But you, I do not know you.” He sat down across from him and waited. “What would you like to know?” The man nodded.

“So how did you like my house, the last time you were here?” He looked over at Anjel and Katz. Both of them looked at him, and noticed it was the same, the column by the hole in the roof above. “This is your house?” The man smiled and said. “It is okay, I have money to cover the costs of the food you took, but what you did to the furniture.”

Katz moved to the side and said. “Sorry we were busy and there was a little kitten with a ton of energy; which ran across it. We came to find Angel and Darling.” The man nodded. He said. “It was a good thing I was away to tend to business, had I found out I would have had you jailed, but hindsight is a good thing, I know your intentions were good.”

“So what are your plans this time around?” Anjel took her bag and sat in another chair. “We have come to find Darling again, we heard her family was wiped out; is this true?” The man nodded and said. “Sadly that is the word, it turned violent a coup in the city, with her gone so it seemed like stability. I can assure you, you two will be known and watched for.”

Anjel curiously asked. “Why do you want to help us?” The man said. “I remember how it was before Darling, she made the water system better, added electricity and everything was better than when Theo was in charge; he was old school and not educated and believed anything outside his thoughts were of witchcraft. I remember being told that Darling and Angel were taken.”

“Then you know he tried to execute them?” He nodded yes. “And Darling took over and forced him into their prison, but treated him fairly.” Road picked up his bag and the shape made the man ask. “So what do you have?” Road set it back down and opened by the zipper. “A 9mm, 45 and AR, two grenades, ammo and magazines”

Anjel spoke quickly. “Why did you bring that?” Road looked at her and said back. “They have guns, call it an equal fight.” Angel shook her head and said. “But those are loud and will give us up.” Road grabbed the 45 and said. “If we are found and there is a fight I am sure the firearms will be loud as well.” Anjel being a redhead was listening. “We need stealth more than anything.” she said back.

“Well you know the layout, I am going to go sell the hay and will be back.” Road said. “Beware the snake.” The man said as he walked to the door and unlocked it. “There was no snake, I just needed you to shut up and stop moving when we got to the gate. It is much easier to get women in than men. They don’t want that kind of muscle.” He left and said. “Lock it, I have a key.” He closed the door and Katz, still standing, locked it behind him. “So your plan?” Anjel said. “Well if they know to look for us, we will have to work at night again, it will be harder this time with lights at night; but we can make due. Road can roam freely as they don’t know him and can get intelligence for us.” They agreed. And Anjel said. “We should eat and get some sleep for tonight Katz; Road you can go ahead and try to find out anything you can.”

Road helped them cook a small meal of eggs, toast and bacon. After they ate, Katz washed the dishes as Road changed clothes, he put the 45 in a shoulder holster under his jacket. Three extra clips and went to the door. “What should I try and check?” Anjel went to the door and with her finger said. “We are here, you go left, pass the next three blocks and you will enter the bar area. It is here that you will find people talking freely, drunk of course so be careful.”

Road listened and went, he walked down the city road; he knew of the attacks and was cautious. He felt like everyone was looking at him and kept going, four blocks and there it was. He did not know it was Trixy’s bar; she was gone and it was being run by staff. Trixy had taken over the bar, just as Count first came, being lucrative Doom thought it would be a good income and a front.

Trixy had disposed of the original owner and took over, so it became a den of thugs, he opened the door and smoke flowed out, pool tables being played on, and the low lighting helped aid him. He ordered a beer at the bar, paid and sat down and started to listen.

“I heard that Theo escaped and the guards were murdered in the process.” he overheard. “And that he somehow made it out of the tower.” another man answered. “How could he do that being held high above?” “I am not sure.”

The night of the attack, Doom knew that with everyone there; a big feast would be given to Theo so he was included. Doom used this as an opportunity for two to show up, with platters. The guards having been there for so long and trusting all let down their guard. Asking the guards to unlock the door, one turned to do so and just as he did so, both holding knives under the platters sprung. One grabbed the man at the door, pulled his head back and slit his throat, the other quickly plunged his blade into the side of the head of the other.

The platters dropped, the food spilled and the two stepped carefully past and into the jailroom with the keys, Theo was standing as they unlocked his cell and they left carefully stepping over the guards. The two turned right to go back down the steps and Theo told them to stop.

“No this way.” He went left and the hall ended, he pushed a rock and it moved, and the rocks made a door that matched the wall. There was flint to strike and three torches. Theo lit the first and used it to light the others. “Make sure to close it.” The two other men came in, closed the brick door and it latched into place pushing the stone back out outside. The two followed Theo in a secret passage the opposite way the stairs went.

“How did you do this?” Asked one of the men. Theo said. “The man who was building this city thought an extra exit would be good in case of attack for seclusion, it goes down to the wall; with another door and we can get out.” It had not been used and was full of cobwebs, dead spiders was very cool but musky smelling.

Reminds me of the fellow I think I have brought up before. I worked with him in the music department back in 2000-2009. A Vietnam vet who was retired 100% disability getting cancer from Agent Orange. We were in is car one lunch break and he brought up how he was retired. I asked him why did he go back to work. He said. "When every day is a Saturday and you go bowling every day, golfing you don't have a weekend to look forward too." I thought it was crazy myself, but having been without a job for so long and much cabin fever type stuff I can say yup, better to go PT and be busy than no time.

We got so close we were like father and son in a way, so much even though at the time I was married he proposed his daughter to me..... I wish he had a closet full of gold, some seven feet across, three feet deep and about six fit high and that was one stash. He got paid good from the military, retired after the VA second highest and still went to work, stubborn but kind man.

Good morning Tiggs, JPF & CMD

I am also on unemployment since March... and right now it looks like it might be September before I go back...

Right now with my unemployment I can make ends meet but I'll probably be looking for at least a part-time job soon.

My prediction Cheifs 37-27 with a late TD to seal it......

Oh and sorry, when your mind has finally set on you will never hear from any of them again and want to move on from there; to hear one wants to reach out... I really never expected it.

Oh my song:

and it takes time, but it still goes on and will be posted.

Katz and Anjel had finished eating, they both had sat at the island of the kitchen. While eating Katz spoke. “I was thinking about what the man said. He said he was gone on a business trip right?” Anjel nodded as she took a bite of the toast with the cut up egg on top. “Then how does he know us and say he remembers what happened?” Anjel finished chewing and swallowed, after wiping her mouth, she replied.

“I don’t think we need to worry about that too much. Darling taking over would be the talk of the town for a long time, so when he came back he would have heard about it. We did nothing to hide from anyone the last time we were here so all could see us; including him. Do you remember who sailed the blue in 1492?”

Katz stood taking her dishes to the sink and said. “Yes Columbus.” Anjel finished and brought her dishes over and said. “Exactly, you were not there but you remember; kind of the same thing.” “Fair enough.” Katz said as she took Anjel’s dishes to wash and Anjel cleaned off the island. “He remodeled the house, that is why we did not recognize it, the colors have changed.”

The two finished and went to the bedroom that Anjel had used, it would still work just fine with no windows and the door closed it would be dark enough to sleep at night. “What we do have to do is worry about being seen and recognized.” She took her bags and dropped two on the ground and kept the smaller one and went to the bathroom.

Katz set her bags down on a chair and followed her to the bathroom. Anjel took out hair dyes, contacts and a lot of makeup. “If you don’t mind?” She washed her hair quickly and kept it damp and Katz opened the black dye and applied to her hair. Katz looked at the bottles, her hair already black. She nodded and chose red, and washing Anjel helped her.

Working together it went smoother and after the dye set and washed out, each of them dried their hair. They used black towels to hide any residue, then Anjel took out a small packet and opened it. She took two contacts and placed them into her eyes and after blinking a few times. “Well how do I look?” “Like a vampire.” answered Katz honestly. “Fitting creatures of the night.”

Katz chose a set of contacts as well brown to change her blue eyes. “And how do I look?” Anjel smiled. “Like me.” Anjel placed her left hand on Katz shoulder and nodded yes. “My understudy.” The two got changed into light thin clothes to get into the bed, being a king it was big enough for the two.

They both got in and with only the table light which Katz turned off there was only a little sliver of light under the door. “Anjel can I ask you a question?” “Sure.” “What was it like?” Anjel turned to her and asked. “What was what like?” Katz turned to face her. “What was it like when you went with them to save Uncle?”

Anjel sat up and scooted back. She lifted her legs and placed her arms around them. “I don’t think that I……. or any of us expected anything to that level. In my mind I thought of some street gang, who would give up easily.” She scratched her head by her ear as she thought back.

“To be honest I was not ready, when we got close enough to see the structure I thought this would be impossible. It took me a while to carefully get inside without being detected. From there I started to understand how many and who it was. Blending in is kind of easy, if you can find a dark spot, a shadow in the corner; you can blend in.”

“It took me about three hours to finally find I am guessing that Uncle was not anywhere on the main floor or above; but below. I had to wait until there was a moment in which I had a few minutes alone. I took my smallest dagger and used it like a screwdriver on an air intake leading down. I had to take part of one of my boot laces and cut it. I punched holes in the sheet metal and looping the shoe lace, looped it around the vent and tied it to the screws holding it in place.”

“This way they would not notice without looking closely and it gave me a quick way out if I needed to with access near the kitchen. I crawled carefully to make no sound, scooting more really. The bottom of the duct turned to insulation which I cut and I was now between the floors. Uncle was still two more levels down and I found him in a makeshift jail.”

“I could hear them speaking in broken english, saying for publicity they were going to burn Uncle in the cage and record it to be released to the public for their political goals.” She paused and sighed deeply. Katz listened as Anjel continued.

“I only knew from Angel. “Wait for the signal.” I did not know what the signal would be, but she told me I would not miss it. I could not just take Uncle out and free him, they would know but planned a way back out for us both using the same path up, but that was not to be. I had just brought Uncle some more food as they were not giving him enough when the first missile hit.”

“I knew then that they would very quickly be coming for Uncle and had no choice. The first man I came up to, when he turned I took his head off with one cut. That was the first life I had ever taken. I can’t say that I am pleased, but there really was no choice and the blood bath continued. I must have gone into a trance or something; because I don’t remember all of them, but when I came to. Guns were pointed at me for a moment, and I was covered in blood. Later I was told how many had fallen by my sword. And if you were to ask me if I would do it again, I would dieing.”

Katz reached over and rubbed her left arm gently. “I am sorry you had to go through that.” She could feel Anjel nodding. “Me too, people don’t look at me the same now; they seem to be a few more feet away when walking like they're afraid I am just going to go ballistic and kill people that are my friends.”

Katz asked. “Why haven’t you told anyone how you feel?” Anjel turned to her and laid down. “Who could I talk to that has done anything like that and could relate?” Katz said back. “Well I understand and can relate so you can talk to me.” “Thank you.” Anjel said and smiled. “So what is your plan?” asked Katz. “We are going to go to the home of the man I believe is responsible for all of this, I have ways to make people want to talk; even if they don’t like it.”

Katz then sighed in, the room got silent and a moment later as Katz continued to think she could hear Anjel breathing a little more heavy asleep. She turned to her left snuggled up to the pillow and after another 30 minutes fell asleep as well.
