As long as it's not green I think I'll be fine with either.

And this is where we differ, I would *LOVE* a green one! A purchased a Satin Black with Blue LED and I love it, amazing device, but if the options were Red, Green, or Blue, it would've been green all the way!

My computer is housed in an Antec 1100, with 5 120mm Green LED fans, my keyboard is a Logitec G19, set all to green, my mouse is a Razer Naga Elite, again, all set to green, see where I'm going? :D

Is there any advantage with the blue LED over the red LED visually? Less glare or not as bright? - or is it just that it's relatively new and not available as much?

hi lisa66,
it sure seems as if the blue LED is much more coveted--I myself had a black provari v2 with blue LED before recently getting the provari mini with red LED. i must confess, while i originally thought that the blue was amazing looking and could not be topped aesthetics-wise, i have found the red LED to produce a beautiful contrast against the matte stainless silver. to answer your question--the red LED is a lot brighter than the blue--so if you are looking for something more stealthy and perhaps more understated, wait for the blue. otherwise, both look great and you really cannot go wrong with getting a provari!

Back in the day, the first LED's were red. They had yellows, and greens too, but blue took years to perfect. So when they were first available, people loved them. Myself included. I remember buying ONE blue LED from radio shack for $4! Only to glue it into the front of my PC as the HD access indicator. So, yea I am very partial to blue LED's

I got my mini Friday...........the red is quite nice. I thought scrolling through the functions might be a pain but it's not at all. I love getting the same hit every single time and the ability to check carto resistance is fabulous. Also, I really like those little battery boxes. If you haven't tried them, they have bays in them that allow you to fit 2 18490's and 1 18350 or just 4 18350's, so the batteries are fitted nicely, not just loose inside. I'm so glad I got his thing!
