I merely said I wouldn't use them and why....what you do is of no concern to me.....

One of the most experienced and knowledgeable vapers on ECF, nebulabrot shared his experience as well as others he's talked to who are having the same problem; namely shattering pyrex tubes. That's a start with FACTS; if you have any other lame observations you care to label as paranoia, please share I could use another laugh.

No..you said to "especially stay away from Pyrex"...not just that you wouldnt use it yourself. Then you claimed "there are plenty of folks with shattered Pyrex tank tubes"...but I Googled and searched and I couldnt find any mention of that happening. In fact all I found was that nebulabrot was dying to get ahold of Pyrex tanks. I do like his quote in his signature though.

Why dissuade others from experimenting....we know batteries have issues also....we still use them...we just take the necessary precautions. With Pyrex its making sure you dont use a lot of force in a small area..like prying on the edges or too much outward force on the tube...it really takes very little to seal them. I have over $200 of Pyrex and quartz tubing that I have been experimenting with and using over the past year..I have yet to have any shatter....even when snapping lengths in my bare hands.

FACTS is what I have in my hand every day all day...hardly a lame observation. Then again I never have been much of a follower so I tend to do and see for myself how things are then form my own opinion.

But your right...use what you want to use...no worry.

SS is cool too!!

From what I'm reading the 1750t123 one would need either a chop saw or band saw to cut the pipe. it is polished and from what three folks from the company said it is also seamless. that is 304 ss pipe

They have some that are a high grade stainless steel ie 316l and is strong but can be cut with a simple pipe cutter with the right wheel and then just polished out that is seamless also.

316l is classified as surgical steel and used to make high quality body jewelry and has a lot less "pits" then the lower grade.

after seeing her tubes I ordered some to play with and it does fit the caps to the tanks iv got very well and leak proof. I made some and then started a few ideals with them and have a new pipe on its way. 3 feet is just over 40 bucks for it.. 89785K262 is the part number for the one iv played with last week. That's for only 12" pipe.

Update
I did just place an order for the 1750t123 pipe and will also test that out.

editied for information on pipe numbers and grades.

Were they using thin wall pyrex, medium wall or thick wall? Did they stress relieve (anneal) it after cutting it? Probably not! Your post sounded like you had first hand experience with it, not something you heard from someones friends brothers sisters boyfriend.

The tubes were from vendors.

Based on your limited comprehension skills, are you trying to convince others or just yourself? LMAO.....

Limited comprehension skills? LOL Look in the mirror dude! You took something your heard from someone and made it into a fact without any proof! I dont need to convince myself or anyone els. I have worked with Pyrex in the past and know its properties well enough to know if properly prepared, it would work much better than polycarbonate for tanks.

FYI::: you aren't allowed to sell the stuff that you make on the classifieds. You would need to be a registered supplier on ECF to sell your stuff. This is exactly why I haven't sold the 104 people that PM'd me wanting to buy a tank...........a tank.

I did just place an order for the 1750t123 pipe and will also test that out. Over all I will have 6' of pipe here in a few days so I might end up with some tubes for sale in the classified. Maybe even some etched ones with say old school pin stripping or any other ideals that pop into my head till then.

When are you going into production Jen !???
My husband wants the correct type of lathe so bad it's killing him (hahahahaha) He keeps telling me how he can make me all these awesome drip tips, tanks, mods. However, in order for me to purchase said lathe, it's gonna have to have a more practical use than just building vape stuff. I do have a vendor that wants to pick up on my husband's stuff at the moment. I'm "so-so" about that. I had 2 vendors try to pick up on his solar mods.........I politely declined them. We're just not really interested in going the vendor route at this time.

My husband builds me these things because he likes to "tinker", & because he "loves" me.
My tanks are NOT for sale. My tanks are ALL MINE, forever and ever, amen

Maybe you can just rent him out for a bit... just long enough for him to build me a "hello Kitty" mod and a few SS tanks. I promise I'll return him... one husband is plenty for me :p
