My husband wants the correct type of lathe so bad it's killing him (hahahahaha) He keeps telling me how he can make me all these awesome drip tips, tanks, mods. However, in order for me to purchase said lathe, it's gonna have to have a more practical use than just building vape stuff. I do have a vendor that wants to pick up on my husband's stuff at the moment. I'm "so-so" about that. I had 2 vendors try to pick up on his solar mods.........I politely declined them. We're just not really interested in going the vendor route at this time.

My husband builds me these things because he likes to "tinker", & because he "loves" me.
My tanks are NOT for sale. My tanks are ALL MINE, forever and ever, amen

Come on now Jen, you have a talented husband with much of his talent bottled up - get him a high quality lathe and let him tinker to his hearts content. High quality tools rarely lose value (I have a Delta Unisaw that now sells for over 2x what I paid for it).
Talk about a win - win, the love of your life would be creating things that you may have never imagined and you would be his favorite prototype tester!!

I'm so happy I found this thread. I think I have a guy who could make these tanks for me. I just needed to know more information about the kind of pipe I needed to get. Does anyone know if you can get these pipes at a Lowes or Home Depot?

no i dont beleive they can be purchased at lowes or HD... you may want to check out local B&M places as a lot of cities have pipe places.

the ones on these posts are from McMaster-Carr part# 1750T123
someone else was experimenting with part# 89785K262

i was thinking of getting a depth charge to accompany my ggts, but im not sure if the smaller tank will natively fit the xl carto to a length where it will fit with a drip tip on my gg and i will still have the ability to use the draw control over the airflow. i know that i will have to punch the hole farther toward the top of the carto, and am more than willing to do that. if you have any suggestions, i would love to hear them.

I used a short 510-510 adapter with a resurrector(same size as xl i think)and could still use the air control

If you use a rethreader to make the connection flush then just get a tank that's long enough for your carto

Thanks Bam. I think I read where Bmwjen said she had made several and that is why she got an extra long piece of pipe. Is that b/c she just wants to have a few on hand or do they break easily?

I got the long piece of pipe because they only sell it by the foot, or the 3 foot, i forget. Plus, I had 8 tanks to make. Sent some pipe to friends, etc........you know......

Maybe you can just rent him out for a bit... just long enough for him to build me a "hello Kitty" mod and a few SS tanks. I promise I'll return him... one husband is plenty for me :p

ROFL why not I have seen pictures of hello kitty M4's, why not a hello kitty PV and tank to go with it! :)

"make vape rings not war"

(ok that was bad)
