Well, i have bought a J tank from electronicstix.com with a Boge XL 2.0, and from momandpopvaporshop.com 2 mini subs with boge 2.0 standard size. For some reason i feel the J tank has a muted flavor. I am not sure if it is from the tank, the way the carto is punched or the XL size. Anyone has any idea what might be the problem? I want to buy another sub from momandpop with an XL however i am affraid to turn out like the one from electronicstix.

As far as I know, the difference is just the length of the carto. Individual carto's may have some slight differences that could account for small taste differences. Ar both of the sizes you have single coil?
Did you fill the carto's before adding the tank? Also some times you may still want to pop ur tip off and add a few drops to the top of your carto. I know this defeats the purpose, and you don't have to do it. i saw a couple vid's online saying this, at work so can't link sorry...
I also used the mom and pop sub tank and loved it but I found I needed to add extra flavor to the juice- an extra 5%. I vape 60/ 40 PG/ VG and punch my own tanks with 1 hole 2.5 mm. I eclusively use the Smok Tech 1.7 single coil XL cartos with the tanks.
If you want to try the regular Boge in a MomnPop full sized sub tank, it will fit. Just use a smaller drip tip and slide the top grommet over the tip and into the tank.

The difference is in the carto IMO. The only influence the tank has on flavor is that the carto is alawys freshly filled (which is good) I use nothing but regular 35mm Boge cartos in my J-tanks, and the flavor is the same as a fresh carto by itself.

Guys, regarding this subject, the mini sub i got from mom and pop had the regular boge carto. It tasted great at the beginning, now the taste is muted. I am comparing to a regular non tank boge and i can taste the difference.
How long have you been using that same carto in your tank? After some time (how much tends to vary), the flavor will become muted as the life of the carto progresses. Another thing to consider is if you are using the same flavor exclusively, or even just frequently, you may get used to the flavor more and it wont taste the same as it did the first day or two.
Have you been shaking your juices? When at home I do not fill up my tank because the ingredients will separate and I do occasionally shake the tank. If going out and I want a full tank I use a lighter juice thus helping with the separation issue.
uh-oh, just ordered 2 boxes of the boge 2ohm XL a few days ago to fit my phiniac tank, never tried boge before so I'm seriously hoping they're a great vape. I also ordered some reg boge for when I don't need to use a tank, so I guess at the very least I'll be able to do my own comparison sometime over the next few weeks, lol
Well, I had a spare pre punched carto, and replaced the old one. Flavor came back again. Plus i always have a control carto with Bobba's to check if my taste buds start playing tricks, which they didn't. Anyway I will check now how long will this carto last.
I have not tried shaking. Anyway yesterday i took out the carto and vaped on it without the tank. There is this wierd taste. Either the ingredients seperated and the carto is filled with wierd stuff, or its life has ended. But i expected to taste some burning or something, however all i tasted was maybe filler material?
