i've noticed that with most carto's i've been using, after about a day i notice that the draw gets harder and harder... it's not as bad of a situation with boge's as it is with kangers or smoktek but its still not like they are when they're new. i've tried cleaning a couple of them using alcohol then water, and it really doesn't do a LOT (especially when they've been used more than a day). i foudn that after the cleaning they really wouldn't wick proeprly either, and just didn't work very well at all

i also noticed that with all the cartos, boge's being the best again but still happens, that nearing the end of the day, when i go to top up the carto (using either a syringe OR just dripping onto it) they really don't take much at all but they also start tasting crappy quickly. it's as though the stuffing material is saturated with juice but that the juice won't wick into the coil to get used... it's really odd. when i drip like, 3 or 4 drips into it any more than that just stays on top and won't go down. with a syringe i get about 0.2 ml into it at the most, then it starts piling up on top and dripping out the bottom

what gives? i'm usually using tasty vapors tobacco flavour juices... is this happening because they are WTA juices (whole tobacco alkaloid)? i'm trying out a blend of mostly non WTA juice with just a little TV juice in it...hoping it works better, but if it does, then what do i use with WTA juice?

Must admit I never spent that much time vaping carto's only. I quickly got irritated at the whole topping up thing and started putting them in tanks.

Seems that this was a good things as it increases the life of the carto. I guess as it never get's the chance to dry out. The two I have in front of me now, both Boge's, are on days 7 and 9 respectively. Now that said I tend to use more PG based juices in tanks and the AVE VG's in a VMod bottom feeder with an atty. I say more but I never go above 65% PG.

Have tried cleaning carto's but that never seems to work out well for me so I use them till they die, taste odd or the draw get's too stiff.

So give tanks a try. It may help.

The type of juice you're using is the culprit. I have some juices that will do the same thing while others will make my cartos last for months. I've just come to reason that when one of them gets hard to draw on, toss it and open a fresh one. It's the price to pay for wanting to vape a good juice.

I also vape a WTA juice but not TV's. No problems with it killing cartos. Been using the same carto in a tank for 3 months with this stuff. Bought it from vapelicious.com. His apple juice is freaking fantastic.

have you tried using any tasty vapor tobacco juices with your tanks? do you have an issue, if you have? or any other juices that use tobacco extract for the flavour?

I have some Apple Pie that I am quickly falling in love with at the moment. Never suspected I would but it is fantastic.

Yes I have used Bounty Hunter, regularly, and Bobas before I got the bottom feeder. Again found that the tank does seem to increase longevity.

Ive had the same experience with Boge's i made some juice the other night used it the normal way first, easy to "drag" no feeling of it being "clogged" or clogging up while dragging/puffing on it.

I then took a slotted carto of the same batch but it in a tank filled it up, and has been feeling harder to draw from the start. And i also feel like there is being used more liquid with a tank on a carto than topping it off directly. Might just be me forgetting how often i top it off when the tank does the job.

the best way to find out if you are using more liquid is to fill from a syringe both ways... i always top off my non-tanked cartos with a syringe anyways that way there is no need to wait until the juice seeps down... you've put it down and along the length of it because as you squirt it into the carto you draw the syringe out slowly... thus the whole thing is wetted

anyways... back on topic.... hairball... the juice you're talking about... can i get it in canada easily? what would you say it tastes like? and do most WTA juices taste sort of similar?

also, so is bobba's a wta juice? i didn't think i was, but i guess i didn't look into it, i just assumed wta was more of a fringe thing still, maybe i'm wrong

anyways, i did try your advice (even though i had first tried this juice in a carto when i got the juice, the carto may have just been crappy, or maybe i didn't realize that i had used it for longer than i thought.... i know it had a little juice in it first but i thought it was less than a few hours old... maybe not). either way, first what i did was try out just a blend of 3 juices that i love to mix together, about 0.25 parts TV Tobacco, 0.375 parts gentlemen's reserve rugged blend, and 0.375 parts gent's res prairie blend. this gives me only 1/4 of the juice being the wta, AND it isn't the one with cloves added, which i also wonder if it is partly to blame. so far, so good. i used it all day today and it seems to be working a lot better. i've refilled the tank twice thus far and it still is drawing decently (though a little harder than at the start) but more importantly, the flavour is still great and i'm also having none of the dry hit problems i was before, so it looks better.

just now i filled up another carto in another dct tank with the tv tobacco w/ clove juice that i love and have had issues with, so we'll see after tonite what happens. if i wake up and can't really use it iknow the juice effed it over night and i know that the juice is to blame.... otherwise we'll see how tomrw goes, hopefully well. i'm using a different type of carto here too, a single coil xl sized smoktek i ordered from canvape. we'll see. if it sucks i'll try again with a boge i think, and cut the tank down, but if that doesn't work i'll be mighty ...... i cut off a tank to use it with boge's only to find out that it doesn't fix my issue... hrmmm

I used to love TV juices but had to quit using them. Tastyfinger would kill an atty a day (901) dripping...I couldn't figure out what was just making them go dead (and by dead, I mean showing nothing with a multimeter) I loved TV waffle but after one day in a carto the taste got so stale it wasn't vapable. I tried cleaning the cartos, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't and I was waisting too much juice filling cleaned cartos that ended up not being worth it.

I started diying and using very little flavoring and now am satisfied with how much use I get out of a carto. And my 901 attys quit dying premature deaths :)
