Daily update...8 days after printing a shipping label, it still has not been taken to the post office for shipment.

At the beginning of this mess, I said to myself that I would give him 30 days to deliver the "in stock" mod I ordered, and then begin the dispute procedure with my CC company. I will be sending him one more email telling him this. At this point, I really don't care about the mod any more...my frustration has boiled over. Marcus could easily do the right thing here, but it doesn't appear that's going to happen...

Daily update...9 days after printing the shipping label and the package has still not been taken to the post office for shipment. I have sent my final email to Marcus yesterday stating that I will begin a credit card dispute if the mod is not delivered by November 12th. Of course, I have not received any personal reply.

Is it really as dire as all that? It seemed to me pretty normal for a guy running a small business, maybe on the side with a normal life and other interests.

I know how it is with hobby money, especially with it harder to come by these days. But maybe take a deep breath and a deep vape, and let it work itself out. But then, I didn't have to wait no 30 days for no response. Still... cops? Really?

I don't understand cutting vendors slack based on things like, maybe real life got in the way, maybe he has personal problems, maybe it's a side job, maybe the kids need him, etc, etc, ad nauseam!
please! if you take my money, I expect my product and I expect it when promised! I don't really care what your problems are!
I hope your product works well and you don't need help or repair! I did not order but I've been reading about this vendor for quite some time.......

If you haven't already done so:

Whaddya want? If you want to cancel the order send an e-mail expressly stating that you cancel and no longer want the item. When you contact your CC to dispute tell them you have canceled the order with Bogger due to failure to ship & no longer want the merchandise.

If you don't have a copy of that e-mail on hand canceling the order that leaves you open to Bogger finally shipping the device once he gets the inquiry from your CC. If you e-mail putting him on notice you canceled before you contact your bank then that narrows the field to just getting the charge reversed.

This is exactly what I will do..thanks so much.

sorry it was 10/9 and it was a custom, I know my "40 days" aren't up yet, but should I continue to wait? Will I miss any sort of dispute deadline?

I don't think there is a "dispute deadline", but I am nowhere near an expert...If a business gives a timeline for shipment, and does not meet that timeline and items are not shipped, then it is a valid dispute. I can almost definitively say that you will not be receiving your custom order in the 40 days he says on his website. Most everyone who has chimed in on this thread, or the closed bogger vendor thread, report wait times for custom orders between 6-12 months, if the mod is ever shipped at all. That doesn't mean it couldn't happen, but it would be a miracle at this point. I am going on 23 days for an "in stock" mod order, that was promised to ship in 24 to 48 hours. Come next week, if the mod doesn't ship, I will be starting the dispute process.

I think the fact that Marcus has gone off the radar and taken people's money/products with him is pretty clear now, but I'll add my experience....

Received my box back in January '13. In June, the top plate where the drip cup and connector are mounted came loose. I submitted a warranty claim on their website, and followed up with a call. I reached Marcus by phone, and he issued a return label. I sent the box back to him on June 25th. On August 1st I received this email from Marcus Petroski - " I basically just built you a whole new box and it is just about done now. I will email you the tracking info as soon as it is ready." Three months later, he's not shipped anything, and I'm out my money and box. All calls and emails have gone unanswered. Their phone number goes straight to voice mail now.

First, I want to thank you for sharing your story. It's much appreciated. This is a horrible situation...a real nightmare for anyone involved. With more people coming forward every day, it is clear that there is a MAJOR problem. With the amount of people disputing the charges, I am really surprised that his credit card processor has not frozen his account, and prevented future transactions. But, maybe that's me being naïve. The processor is still making their money regardless, so why shut it down...It's just a shame. At this point, even though it wouldn't solve anything with prior orders, I wish he would show a tiny bit of decency and stop taking new orders.

IF MARCUS IS READING THIS, OR SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY GET A HOLD OF HIM, STOP TAKING NEW ORDERS!!!

going on 14 days since a shipping label was printed for my "in stock" mod order and the package has still not been dropped at the post office for shipment...28 days total. I will be sending Marcus one last e-mail on Tuesday officially canceling my order, then I will file a dispute of non delivery with my CC company. I will keep the thread updated...

They're still around. They're still actively shipping. I ordered on 11/2. Shipped 11/6. Delivered this past Friday, 11/7.

What did you order? This makes it even more frustrating...if this is true, it appears he is now picking and choosing who he rips off and who he doesn't....this is a SHAMEFUL way to run a business
