I do alcohol soaks. I'll use an atty for a day or two and drop it in for a soak. I'll have several in rotation at any given time. When I drop one in for a soak, I'll have one or more attys that have already been soaking for at least a day or are drying/dried out from a prior soak. It's like having a new atty every time.

I used to boil attys as part of a bi-weekly, thorough-cleaning routine, and it never seemed to cause any problems.

Then I decided that I had better things to do than to waste time getting all OCD about the cleanliness of my atomizers. Now, I'll use one for a week, blow it out, rinse it, and drop it into an alcohol bath for a ½ hour. Then it sits on the shelf for a week drying out and waiting to come back around in my atomizer rotation.

Hmm, OK... It may sound like I'm still all OCD about it, (and perhaps I am :p ), but the time I spend cleaning them this way is a fraction of what it was before.

hah, why not? attorneys and politicians both could do with a good boil to loosen up all the crud ;-)

On topic: No, I don't boil my attys. I tried that when I first started vaping and actually found it to shorten the life of the attys. I just flush them through with plain PG for cleaning nowadays, sometimes a quick hot water flush first if they're really gunked up, and that has worked well enough for me. I usually get more than my money's worth out of them without resorting to boiling and dry burns
