Thought I'd see if I can get a discussion going, just for fun (I should, of course, know better - lol).

A) vap rhymes with zap, vape rhymes with ape. We vape like an ape, we don't vap. Zap!
B) Someone that still calls it smoking. We need to rename this category heading. E-Smoking? Boo.
C) Pink anything related to e-cigs. Just done so we guys won't bum/borrow them. Should be banned.
D) Comparing e-juice nic levels to cigs. You should have to sign a disclaimer when you join ECF to never do this (OK OK ... I understand why it happens.... but make a popup on the new-user creation form or something....IT DOES NOT COMPARE).
E) The next person that .....es about my using isopropyl alcohol to clean atties.
F) It's Atty, not Addy. Atty is for atomizer. Addy is for math freaks.

Any more?

1. "Toot" (Sorry Grimm). Maybe if I were a toy train aficionado, this wouldn't bother me - but I'm not, and it does. I'm not a 6-year-old either.

2. Supplier fanboys and anti-fanboys. This almost doesn't count, because it applies to any industry during the internet age. Still, it irks me.

3. People who cry for "reasonable" government regulations in the e-cig industry. If there were such a thing, they wouldn't be needed.

4. It's a magazine, not a "clip". Oops...wrong forum.

This. And e-cigarette, e-cig, e-smoke, etc., should be automatically replaced by the filter with PV or personal vaporizer.

Actually, it should be Aty, there's only one "T" in aTomizer. :p

People are vapers. If you're a vapor, I'm pretty sure I don't want to be in the same room/building/city with you.

I'll say...

1. The mess. Sometimes I get really tired of wiping juice off my hands.

2. The inconsistent quality of the juice. I wish this was a thing where you could buy your brand at the corner store instead of over the internet. That way when you get juice that tastes like something died in your atomizer you could take it back to the store and say, "Try this and tell me if that's what it's supposed to taste like." Then you could get a proper retail response instead of, "Oh, different strokes, changing tastebuds, let it steep, herp derp."

This I can't agree with. Personal Vaporizer makes it sound like a drug delivery device, or at least something you use when you have a cold. To me it will be an e-cig or e-cigarette until the product has a tobacco product designation officially. Then I will call it Sally, or anything else I darn well please. :p

That's the american language for ya. How does the nick names 'Bob' and 'Bobby' come from the proper name Robert? Besides, aty just looks goofy

No water vapor for you?

How about having to carry a paper towel everywhere you go? Some days I get soooo tired of juice coated fingers.

Yeah, I 2nd that one. I think I have a post somewhere saying that "I'm going to invest in paper towel and napkin companies if this vaping stuff takes off...." Like I have any extra cash. lol. But still.......

2. Supplier fanboys ...

I'm so glad someone started this thread. I just slogged through 4 pages of people trying to prove who knew the owners of companies better, by the use of prodigious name dropping. I had to start a spreadsheet to decode the damn thread.

Along the lines of #2- People posting using the first names of the suppliers/retailers, instead of using the company/website name.

I know it's fun to name drop, but it's not only useless to the readers, but it's useless to building the retailers business. If you're that good of friends with the retailer, do them the courtesy of using enough info for the reader to at the very least highlight the word and hit the "search google" function. Using "Tom", "Richard" (you can't use the proper name; "Dic|<"here... stupid) or "Harry"*...... doesn't help the reader, or the retailer when you're talking about the wondrous quality of their wares.

"Richard" may have the best juice around, but in a thread where everyone is name dropping instead of using company names, I'm never gonna end up trying Richards' tasty juice. (or any of the other names that are being dropped in a thread where people are trying to out name-drop each other)

*Names were changed to protect the innocent retailers from their attention seeking customers
