Hi
I can not believe I just wrote my life story and it didn't post! Here we go again.
Before I receive my e-cis, I just wanted to tell all of you y story. I love this forum and I think it is going to help me.
I grew up in a smoke filled home. Not blaming my wonderful parents. It was a different world back then. I vowed never to do it.
Well.... teen years came and so did smoking and so did the lack of my pareents to quit.
College made it worse all night studying or partying geared the smoking even more.
After college, I married a snuff dipper. He gave that up and only smokes with me in the evening.
I smoked through 3 pregnancies (not much),but thank the good Lord, all of my children are healthy.(just mean)
My parents died within 8 months of each other. Dad age 82 (esophageal cancer) Mom age 79 (Bone and breast). Dad had quit smoking at age 75 because the doctors wanted Mom to quit. Mom continued to puff on.
My 55 year old sisster now has lung cancer, so i decided to quit.
Chantix made me have nightmares and oversleep for work. Nic gum made my throat hurt. Patches may have worked if one wer placed over each of my eyes and I played "find your cigarettes" game.
I hope e-cigs work. I would really appreciate any advice. If I have made two posts of the same story, I am sorry.
God Bless

Thank you for the advice. I don't know how to respond to individuals. Just learned how to upload my pic today. Tina, I will read that and thanks. To upinthehills: I first ordered the blujokes and laughed them all the way to the post office. I then ordered some other kind and after reading this forum, sent them back unopened. I'm expecting my KR808D-1 to come in tomorrow

The KR808D-1, aka the KR8, will be a great beginner unit for you. Manual or automatic battery?
To respond to a specific members quote-hit that little quote button in the persons post and then reply.
If you want to do more than one at once hit the button to the right of the quote "+ for each one and on the last person you are wanting to reply to hit the quote button.
Hope that makes sense.

I first ordered the blujokes and laughed them all the way to the post office.

That line was priceless! I kept mine (just in case of a (very) dire emergency)

You'll do fine! I was suprised how easy it was to give up the
burning tobacco habit. No more pain in the chest and I can
actually breathe!

All the best...

Jeat,

First let me say that your story is not boring. It is similar to the start up stories for many of us. Congrats on your decision to attempt a quit. Remember with ecigs the phrase is easy does it! Some folks quit as soon as they start vaping; others phase out the cigs (analogs.) Whichever way you choose will be the best way for you.

Good luck. Don't hesitate to ask for help!

Thanks Roy! I will let all know how it goes. When I took a drag off the blujokes, it sounded like I was breathing through a trach. That is one thing I hope to avoid!:(
