I grew up with this in my nostrils. My dad, the head shrinker, use to wail on this in one of his many pipes.

He passed away on 4/25 at 86 and I would love to recreate this as a vape----I could think of him when I vaped it.

Any suggestions for flavorings?

Thank you-

Do you know which Borkum Riff blend your father smoked? I found 10 different Borkum Riff pipe blends on the "Pipes and Cigars" web site. If you remember which he smoked buy an ounce of that blend from an online vendor and extract the flavor from it by following the procedure found here; http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/liquid-extraction-tobacco/508026-cold-maceration-tobacco.html

As an ex pipe smoker (40 years), this is how I make homebrewed NETs (Naturally Extracted Tobaccos), and that's all I vape. Extracting the flavor from pipe tobacco is easy, inexpensive and provides true accurate flavor. Have fun!

Just to add to Str8vision's good advise. I have extracted Borkum Riff Black Cavendish. If you do decide to extract it I would advise using the whole ounce. Let the PG soak into it and keep topping it off until the tobacco can't absorb anymore PG. Top it so it's just covering the tobacco. If you go the heat route let it stew for a month. Cold maceration I would let it sit six weeks. Squeeze as much of the extract out of the tobacco as you can and when you make your juice out of this extract, let that steep at least ten days. It's a pretty good vape.
