JHFWI, small block arrived. I wish I had time to set up a boro, in 4 hours.

SXK PRC Ionbox clone from a couple of years ago. This one has the sevo 70 board. I'm thinking of sanding it down to raw aluminium and installing my last spare DNA60.
I like the mod but the silver anodised (?) finish is a bit slippery in hand. Don't love the look either so not much to lose.

@Banchuk Yes a small batch custom mod can be expensive. Plus, i think i waited a few months for the smallblock. I did snag a used Pink mod for my wife on valentines day, $150 - like new condition. I posted picture of it in the past. Beauty has no price limit, to me some mods are Art

I agree that some mods are art. There's a reason we love to look at, take photos of and collect them, that goes beyond a desire for new toys. Unfortunately for me everything has a price limit. I love to see photos of others' though, and live vicariously through them.

Agree. Personally my mental price limit for a mod is 300USD. I haven't purchased anything that expensive (Max was 165USD for stubby) but I'm willing to pau for something that will cover everything I need (DNA preferably with color screen and a USB, not metal, a couple of options for custom panels

I started disassembly. The SXK wiring looks very neat and clean -I think I'll try and mask up the board and wiring and sand back to raw aluminium without removing/replacing the board. Maybe I'll leave the sevo 70 in place and save the dna60 for another project. It's not (only) laziness - the mod vapes fine as it is for me. I feel like it might be a waste of resources to chuck the 70 for the sake of it.

Here we go, down the rabbit hole, where everybody knows, just follow my nose.. Maybe not!! I'm just having one of those I'm bored quirky moment's that lead me into making purchase that I really don't need....

I'm sqounking, driping, and vaping on boros...I've been flavor chasing this past week,. I even pulled out the drill and spun a few micro claptons for the mob mini. Also spun a few staggered fused claptons that came out pretty good being that I haven't done it in a couple years.

That's a great skill to have. Good for you.
A few years ago I got to the point of watching a bunch of "how to" videos but never did spin my own. 90% of my builds are fused claptons (I buy spools of coilology ni80 2*28/36) so I should get back to it and try to make my own.
