Hahaha! They are supposed to be ugly. They are only designed for beta board testing. And no effort is put into making them attractive. Just functionable.

And while they are not very attractive, some people still highly prize them. They are rare and not many are produced. And almost never available to the public (the ERM DNA75C was the only one that I can think of that was). Plus they are tough and can take a beating. Perfect for hostile environments. It's a real honor to own at least one by almost all mod collectors.
You must own one Bill? ...
Why my smiley faces don't pop up like yours...

Q-bot style mod, like the Chinese call it when they clone somthing...

Honestly I won't spend alot of money on high end mods anymore. After spending about 10k on mods and realizing that no one really cares what your vaping on.. I press button, vaper comes out like every other mod.

Here's a picture you'll probably never see again. 4 raw aluminium DNA80C's built by Evolv.
It looks similar to the Lost Vape (baby blue) picture I posted many months ago which never came out. It's a 1 wire build for the battery positive(visible). Minor changes between them on the front.
From left to right show the revisions with #4 showing the back of #3.

Yup, not got win any beauty pageant, and never meant for sale. No logos, no cut-outs, no extras. Just 100% milled and built by them right there in Hudson.

Honestly?

Personally I think those are some of the better looking boro mods I've ever seen. :thumb:

They are very, ummm, utilitarian.

Certainly they could handle a "drop" and are not going to break, or crack, like all the cheap plastic ones. And honestly, I think many of those are rather, ummm, gaudy looking.

ya, i guess the saying is true.............

"beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's a beauty but they copied a little of the Hussar mod, but it's ok as long as they Improve.. Im assuming it's an Original mod,
Where can they be purchased and what's the price?
I don't know where it can be bought, guaranteed FB though, I have no idea of the price either.
What I can say is that I like the look of it, and with Styrdy's 4.2ml rba it's big enough capacity for me.

I have an original Critival mod, c-bot. What I can say is that everything is very precisely made.
And Critival produces in small quantities so there is always a wait, and a draw too.
And since he and others use Dicode's Extreme chipset, it will never be what can be called a high-quality clone.

Personally, but that's my opinion, I'd much rather buy a Rift than buy a Chinese clone.

Okay, I got mail today from Monarchy after a long month of wait.
Tomorrow the stubby should be back after month and a half of repairs and I can provide some comparison between MS, XO and SteamShell.

Can answer any questions if you have

Probably some time in the future I will get a monarchy style just to compare

Your absolutely right. I guess that's why the price is so low. If it had Dicodes pcb it will probably sale for like $200.

I hear the original could be customized how ever the user wants.

The original sales for almost $500. and has metal buttons, if I'm not mistaking?

Can you please put up pictures of top and sides for comparison..
Thank you Tor

Critival mod is 500€ price, something around what I paid for mine.
Print and machine work, and design wise is top notch, but you always find something that could have been done differently.
The Dicodes Extreme chip is programmed to have a three-button function.
I'll try to get some pictures, compared to the DotAIO, that's what it's best to compare it to as it's smaller than regular boro's.

@Tor R if I had any luck soldering I would've tried to get a Dicodes. Do they sale them to consumers or only businesses?
Dicodes BF-60 and FL-80 are sold to consumers, there are also versions with lower wattage which have a thinner chip, but must be specially ordered.

Dicode's Extreme EC-23 is not normally sold to consumers, but mostly to modders.

Qi chipset, Mini chipset, micro chipset, sbs chipset, Dicodes has kept to itself.

On Dicodes' website, Dicodes US is not listed as a dealer.

I've been preparing for it since August 2016. And the party that hates vaping is taking control of the UK. So that doesn't look good there either.
Not only in UK, EU wants the vape legislation classified as they have for their beloved smoking law.

It will soon be easier to snort coke compared to getting hold of something that has nic.

Dicodes USA.......... yeah I wouldn't purchase anything from them. No-no-no.

@jwbnyc found info about them, initially saying they were in Malaysia and then a follow-on post saying "Dun and Bradstreet place them in Romania." See this thread and specifically this post and this post from July this year.

In 2020, 2021 and 2022 I purchased many spare parts from them for my SvoëMesto Kayfun lite 2019's.

I received all the orders. The last one took a while. I called them, "a place in Seattle", and was told my order was shipping from Nashville. Ummm, huh? :?: And sure enough when it arrived it came from someones personal address in Nashville. WTF?

There have been several people on ECF over the years who have had problems with Dicodes USA. I don't think they were ever a "real" Dicodes dealer. The authentic SvoëMesto RTA threads have several posts about them being a shady company.

Their main web page "kinda sorta" gives the "impression" that they are an official dealer for SvoëMesto, SQuape, Atmizoo, Sunbox, Dicodes and Taifun.

The best place for USA customers to purchase some Dicodes chipsets is Creme de Vape (UK). They have fair pricing for them. And sometimes they are marked down, other times one can get good deals on them via the advertised sales. Alternatively one can also order them direct from Dicodes (I seem to recall Tor purchasing direct from them).

Dicodes BF-60 and FL-80 are sold to consumers,

Didn't you order some of those directly from Dicodes?
