I should have been more specific about what I was asking about in my post.
My concern was with the daughter board only and not the mod its self.
Here is a picture of the Evolv type C 2 amp power board.

I'm guessing but I think most mods built with DNA60C boards, at least the early ones, used someone else's C type power boards as these weren't available in large numbers.
Or they used Evolv's micro USB board.

Well I've been missing in action for a few days. I've been to the flavor apprentice website. Doing alot of reading on the wonderful world of flavors and there's a few warning signs regarding the buttery custard tabacco flavors I love. I've put a few flvs into my cart anyway including pg and vg form Hartland. Now looking into heartland to see If I can score the nic I also have in my cart. It doesn't seem promising because they also have info posted on the pact act BS. I'm going to try anyway, I have nothing to loose.

I can't believe how this government has criminalized vape products is sickining me to the core. I spent one whole day thinking how to bring a class action law suit against the city for discrimination practices of the people who depend on these services...

Trust me the majority of the people that vape are adults!!! Ain't no f-king kids here... Im pist. Anyway carry on guys...

Took out my I'm pisst mod..

Another beater because I f/up all my mods, I have a condition that I drop everything out my hands. At first I thought it was idiot syndrome, but it's actually a medical condition called stupid for vaping on good mods to bed. Yeah go figure.

I feel that they should scratch the panels and magnets on the Billet Boxes. They need to come up with a new design, something nice and flush. Maybe a nice custom nut for the negative contact, a recess or flush roker button. Maybe call Billet Box X or something. So many boro devices out there now are pushing unique designs. Come on BBV, it's time to put out something fresh...

Ever try Creamy RY4 Butterscotch Reserve by GLAS? I haven't had it since 2019. I don't even know if they are still around. I first tried it with a FreeMax FireLuke RTA using a three mesh coil head. It was so amazing! Tried it with other builds and coil heads and they just couldn't capture the full flavor profile of this e-juice. And I normally don't even like tobacco favors. Vapors tongue? Oh you bet! As your taste buds are so oversaturated just from the first puff. ;)

Okay, I got mail today from Monarchy after a long month of wait.
Tomorrow the stubby should be back after month and a half of repairs and I can provide some comparison between MS, XO and SteamShell.

Can answer any questions if you have

Probably some time in the future I will get a monarchy style just to compare

There were 3 years between revision 3 and 4 (2013 and 2016) with some wiring and other small changes afterwards also with the ease of purchasing it now ( some colours are available 3-4 days after the Sat drop) I think (hope) they are working on something new. At least 60c and battery wheel.

That's why I'm waiting for a JHFWI bbso as it ticks all of the boxes I need and even more.

Stealth Vape said that Evolv produced the chipset and screen first, the last to go into production was the data & charger board.
That is probably the main reason why modders who were early with dna 60c had a non-oem usb-c pcb.

Over yonder there was a post concerning this mod. Not being familiar with it I checked out a Youtube video on it. Jai's mod but not Jai's video. I was amazed at their daughter board. What's your take on it?

Jim said in his video it will be not crazy expensive (1:06), Ouch! It cost $299.99! Sorry Jim, that's crazy expensive!

It is a Jai Haze product, they have always come with a high price.
We are probably very different, I think most of his designs are ugly as hell.

I knew he had his name on some products, but I can't name a single one before the JAIO. I just never had enough interest.

It has the same shape and look of an Italian Tek Division Brotek V2, so I looked. :(

Certainly many who like his products, in my eyes a Rift is much more stylish than this one from Jai Haze.
    Rift ticks all my boxes.

That was one of my favorites for a long long time...Butterscotch Reserve by Glass, also the sugar cookie by Glass was one of my favorites.. I vapped both for years. The only problem is that they only sell 60ml bottles at $10 a pop. Eventually I had to switch, I wasn't getting the same taste. The company that I was buying my eliquids from, started sending me bottles that were over a year old, so I stop buying it..

My No1 eliquid of all times, Accapulco by Gold leaf. It was so bad that I tried to find the company that manufactured it. The lab not gold leaf. Then I did a search to see if that company was operating under another name but no luck.

That was the creamiest sweet tabacco liquid I have ever tried. I'm still looking to see if they're making liquids under another name...

I also enjoy vaping beard vape #24 and #32.
It's also a problem getting fresh eliquid bottles, because they come in 60ml bottles, so alot of people don't buy them anymore. They have some big bottles but you barely find big bottles of the two flavors I like.

Also if you don't mind answering, what happened to your Stubby?

Those ODBs were part of the package from Monarchy, they just came in with the bridge. But I just checked and they are available on the ODB website in the "collab" tab for 4.99 British pounds (MNCH King Collab Wrap).

The Stubby... First I got a replacement chip as it was acting up when the battery was bellow 50%. The new chip didn't fix the issue and they asked me to send it over to them and it was with them for a bit less than 2 month and in the email they said "New top plate with battery cog installed. Also positive battery contact replaced".

Now it works well, went through a couple of batteries and no issue.

However I'm very disappointed with the overall quality, chip is one thing and the paint quality is a second one. Even without dropping the device and carrying it in a separate pocket, the paint rubs off.

So it will become a beater mod once I get BBSO

That is interesting. Since I have 15 Stubbys (4 of them have DNA boards in them). I only used 3 of them a lot. While some others haven't been unboxed yet. The first two were from the 2nd production run from October 2022. Now one X-Ray edition from June 2023 just started to not fire on an average of once every 200 firings. Sounds like a bad fire button. But then later when the screen times out, the display scrolls off of the screen (which is normal). Then it would scroll back in again and repeat until I hit the fire button.

Well one night I went to bed and woke up and it wouldn't fire. Checked the cell voltage with a meter and the battery read .06v. Brand new battery too. It has been sitting there for the past few days until I decide to do something with it. A week or two earlier I was playing around with LiFePO4 cells in this Stubby. They are not typical 3.7v 18650 cells, but are 3.2v cells (can only be charged to 3.65v). Besides the battery bar always showing empty, I could use about 95% of the capacity before the Weak Battery error message would popup. So it ran better than I expected. Did the lower voltage cause the board to fail? I don't know yet.

So I switched to a Stubby 21 Xray. Now this one now too doesn't fire like once every 200 presses. Never ran LiFePO4 cells in this one. But I was running the cells down to 3.15v. Might not be a good idea to run them that low in a Stubby. I'll keep an eye on it for now.

However I'm very disappointed with the overall quality, chip is one thing and the paint quality is a second one. Even without dropping the device and carrying it in a separate pocket, the paint rubs off.

I haven't had any paint rubbing off on any of them. Although they are not in a pocket very often. I do get small artifacts (usually black) appearing once in awhile. I believe it is a juice film left from wiping with a paper towel. Anyway common household cleaner takes everything right off to the original painted surface. Once on the bottom I had two small black dots appear and what looked like the paint vaporized right off around the black dots. I wish I had taken a picture of them. But I used a cleaner and it all came off leaving the original perfect finish.

Only Stubbys leave those artifacts and none of my other painted anodized mods does. I looked at them and while I am not a paint expert by any means... but I don't see a sealer on the Stubbys. That should solve everything.
