The guys that purchased new mods like the Riff. Please put up pictures of your set ups for the group to see and for the new comers.
There's alot of boro devices out there. That's what people want to see..

Hmm... I remember someone with two Rifts. I'll try to find him and get some pictures. ;)

That is interesting. Since I have 15 Stubbys (4 of them have dna boards in them). I only used 3 of them a lot. While some others haven't been unboxed yet. The first two were from the 2nd production run from October 2022. Now one X-Ray edition from June 2023 just started to not fire on an average of once every 200 firings. Sounds like a bad fire button. But then later when the screen times out, the display scrolls off of the screen (which is normal). Then it would scroll back in again and repeat until I hit the fire button.

Well one night I went to bed and woke up and it wouldn't fire. Checked the cell voltage with a meter and the battery read .06v. Brand new battery too. It has been sitting there for the past few days until I decide to do something with it. A week or two earlier I was playing around with LiFePO4 cells in this Stubby. They are not typical 3.7v 18650 cells, but are 3.2v cells (can only be charged to 3.65v). Besides the battery bar always showing empty, I could use about 95% of the capacity before the Weak Battery error message would popup. So it ran better than I expected. Did the lower voltage cause the board to fail? I don't know yet.

So I switched to a Stubby 21 Xray. Now this one now too doesn't fire like once every 200 presses. Never ran LiFePO4 cells in this one. But I was running the cells down to 3.15v. Might not be a good idea to run them that low in a Stubby. I'll keep an eye on it for now.
I'm not sure what batch mine is, I ordered X ray 21 in Feb 2024. I hope yours doesn't have any problems.

I haven't had any paint rubbing off on any of them. Although they are not in a pocket very often. I do get small artifacts (usually black) appearing once in awhile. I believe it is a juice film left from wiping with a paper towel. Anyway common household cleaner takes everything right off to the original painted surface. Once on the bottom I had two small black dots appear and what looked like the paint vaporized right off around the black dots. I wish I had taken a picture of them. But I used a cleaner and it all came off leaving the original perfect finish.

Only Stubbys leave those artifacts and none of my other painted anodized mods does. I looked at them and while I am not a paint expert by any means... but I don't see a sealer on the Stubbys. That should solve everything.
I didn't have the black dots, but I do have these scratches at the panels as well as the bottom of the mod.

That is when I bought my three Stubby 21. Two are still boxed and I haven't laid my eyes on them yet. Also when the battery bar shows empty, that starts when the battery is at 3.5v. And that is when I now change the battery. And the firing problem hasn't been back since.

The Stubby 21 Xray one I use the paint is still fine.

That's crazy I was one of the first ones to notice the paint job on the Stubby was fading around the edges everywhere.

Secound, the chip is week, it couldn't keep up with my low ohm coils without killing the battery within minutes and down throttling. I think mods down throttle because of week battery's. I get my battery's from lions. For some reason I feel they sometimes get bad battery's...

I striped the paint on the Stubb and I also have two chips for it, But It's all in pieces in a zip lock bag. I have plans to get it powder coated, a freaky color like a pink or violet.

    Another incoming product.
Hirano Designs B4e Tycoon PA12 Body Swap
    Green - Honeycomb

I want to like my Tycoon more, giving it a little bling.
I beat my Tycoon like a bad child. Dings and fading from the Jean pockets, a few floods, and a couple drops. So far she's handling the abuse very well....

Coments on the DNA60C if any, good or bad? The Rift looks like a solid mod.

Well it is a DNA and I haven't seen a DNA I didn't like. Having said that, I'm still a newbie when it comes to the DNA60C and have little experience with them. But so far it is great.

Rift is really a quality mod. And unfortunately the paint may not be any better than the Stubby.

Here's a picture you'll probably never see again. 4 raw aluminium DNA80C's built by Evolv.
It looks similar to the Lost Vape (baby blue) picture I posted many months ago which never came out. It's a 1 wire build for the battery positive(visible). Minor changes between them on the front.
From left to right show the revisions with #4 showing the back of #3.

Available in polished peek, ultem, delrin
It's a beauty but they copied a little of the Hussar mod, but it's ok as long as they Improve.. Im assuming it's an Original mod,
Where can they be purchased and what's the price?

    Just ugly as fkkkk

Hahaha! They are supposed to be ugly. They are only designed for beta board testing. And no effort is put into making them attractive. Just functionable.

And while they are not very attractive, some people still highly prize them. They are rare and not many are produced. And almost never available to the public (the ERM DNA75C was the only one that I can think of that was). Plus they are tough and can take a beating. Perfect for hostile environments. It's a real honor to own at least one by almost all mod collectors.
