Confirmation, tubing for new fancy Italian bottles is smaller o.d. than current tubing.
I happened to find a standard 6ml REO bottle in my desk with no tube. Slipped the new tubing in the cap and it barely touched the sides of the hole.
Removal of the old tube is necessary and easy enough, glued or not.
Right. The new tube will NOT fit the old bottles.....not even close. :)

Smaller outer diameter means more juice in the bottle.. like that..

The other issue vis-a-vie the tubing is that the old tube will likely not play nicely with the new bottle caps, again because of the diameter discrepancy. This means having to pull the old bottle plus tube to fit the new rig.

For those worried about futzing with the tube, a sharpish pull is all I've ever needed to pull the old tube style (heck, watch Rob in his vids - he yards on the thing)) and the new tubes are very easy to work on to the 510 feed.

These new bottles look good, and I will get a few with the new REO mod.
However, I hope they can start producing these in quantities that will reduce the cost.
$6.00 vs $0.28 ?
I will sell them cheaper no worries on that front . They are pricey but I am sure the gent that had to pay to have them made took a chance on losing his shirt .
I can see why he would want to get his money back as quick as possible

Something I just thought about. Since I haven't taken the little plastic piece off in a while. Am I going to have a problem with these with the old 510? I should just be able to use the same tube that's on it, correct? Just pull the bottle off and put this one perhaps?

Right. The new tube will NOT fit the old bottles.....not even close. :)

    FYI
SuperSoft 8.5 ml bottle tubing is 2 mm ID, 4 mm OD, 1 mm Wall Thickness
    Standard 6 ml bottle tubing is 1/16" ID (1.5875mm), 3/16" OD (4.7625mm), 1/16" (1.5875mm) Wall Thickness

Metal bottle cap hole is 3.2 mm

Tubes that come with the bottles are very nice! Very pliable and will create a nice seal. They are meant to fit the metal cap perfectly. Great vacuum action and actually it's kind of cool watching the tiny little bubbles after squonking! (yes, I guess I'm easily amused). It all makes for the easiest squonking action you will ever experience. Spydro, I can say with no reservations and without a doubt that these bottles live up to the hype and out perform any bottle out there hands down!!:thumb:

If you have faith in a new product you commonly do have to go way out on a limb to make it happen.

You go out on that limb for your customers too when you buy a stock of something that they say they really want. You put your faith in their support, make your best guess what the demand will be, dive in, offer the best price that you can and hope that you don't loose your shirt. If you get the projected sales hoped for it's a win for all concerned. If you don't...

Quality doesn't come cheap from Europe even with the very favorable EUR/USD exchange rates now days. Even so we know how you roll Rob. Your price for these bottles will be almost give away prices in comparison.

There will be lots of great Christmas presents in stock at Reosmods this year. Shop early for the best selections. :)

Rudy, the early hype is believable (this time). I will be buying quite a few from Rob.

I have been testing out 2 bottles this week on my work Grand and a older Woodvil.

Both went on easy. A little bit more time spent on the Woodvil's older connector.

These bottles are soft and squonk easy. It is a little challenge to not push too hard and flood the RM2. I usually watch the air hole for that little bit of juice that let's me know it is enough.

They seem to be a quality made product. Only time will tell if they will last as long as our regular bottles.

Bottle fit, squonking, and quality are good IMO.

    BUT.....

The cap is very slick. I mean there is nothing to keep your fingers from sliding. I am finding it a real chore to remove the cap and to replace it. I am having difficulty keeping the bottle full of juice, upright and not spilling some juice. The juice gets on my fingertips and then there is no way in hell to turn that cap. Even if I can get the cap started without spilling juice, the bottle will tilt while I am trying to grab on to the cap to turn it. The cap seems to take some effort to turn.

Every time I fill a bottle I must keep a paper towel handy and keep wiping my finger and thumb. For those that really know me: Licking my fingers does NOT help! LOL.

I am going to try to find something to place around the cap to give my fingers some traction.

Please don't take this post as me just wanting to complain. It was made because it is my own take on these bottles and I feel others just might find the same thing happening.

Sounds like we might need to ruff up the cap with some sand paper! Bet the next release will have some grooves in the cap for a grip but that will add to the cost.

How bout a very small rubber band?

A dental rubber band might work. I don't have one though. I did think of that! Then figured they might get slick too with a little juice.

I also thought of applying some little drops (nubs) of hot glue around the cap.

I won't stop trying to get something to work!!!

Thanks for that! Very good to know. A rubber band or something sounds like a good fix, but good to know ahead of time that something would be needed!

Karen, I've noticed the same thing....I wish the caps were scored a little. I'm thinking about putting a tiny little rubber band around the lid just to help get a grip. I'm not complaining either....I love these things. But I've definitely noticed the same "problem" with the cap being slick when it's (inevitably) wet.

Those tiny little rubber bands like kids make bracelets with, or that are used for little girl pigtails will work, I think.

Edit: I just cut a slice of silicone from an old carto cover and it worked fine.
