Hmmm.. how tight are you cranking them down?
I have been testing out 2 bottles this week on my work Grand and a older Woodvil.

Both went on easy. A little bit more time spent on the Woodvil's older connector.

These bottles are soft and squonk easy. It is a little challenge to not push too hard and flood the RM2. I usually watch the air hole for that little bit of juice that let's me know it is enough.

They seem to be a quality made product. Only time will tell if they will last as long as our regular bottles.

Bottle fit, squonking, and quality are good IMO.

BUT.....

The cap is very slick. I mean there is nothing to keep your fingers from sliding. I am finding it a real chore to remove the cap and to replace it. I am having difficulty keeping the bottle full of juice, upright and not spilling some juice. The juice gets on my fingertips and then there is no way in hell to turn that cap. Even if I can get the cap started without spilling juice, the bottle will tilt while I am trying to grab on to the cap to turn it. The cap seems to take some effort to turn.

Every time I fill a bottle I must keep a paper towel handy and keep wiping my finger and thumb. For those that really know me: Licking my fingers does NOT help! LOL.

I am going to try to find something to place around the cap to give my fingers some traction.

Please don't take this post as me just wanting to complain. It was made because it is my own take on these bottles and I feel others just might find the same thing happening.

The cap should not be difficult to turn. When you start to close you should not get any resistance in threading and will stop when completely on with no need to crank tight. Unlike the Vapage bottles-- if you have any resistance while threading, reverse and try again until threads seat properly. ---The bottle threads are thin and easy to cross thread. No damage will result but will not seat properly.
I normally just hold my mod vertically, tilt the bottle out, just pinch/hold the cap, turn bottle to unthread still holding vertically, put a tissue under tube, fill bottle, slide bottle back up the tube, turn bottle until snug, give the cap little final nudge then done. No juice spilling etc. I find very little or no leakage at the cap when I go to refill so no juice on cap.

I am not exerting much force while turning the cap. It is the "pinch and hold the cap" that is the whole problem. I find my fingers turning and not the cap. Also some of the juice seems to come from inside the cap and on my fingers. I just am not use to having to use a paper towel when doing a refill. I use this method to fill. A narrow strip of friction tape around the cap might work for you Karen. By default it's a cloth tape impregnated with a sticky substance that gives you something to get a good grip on. Remember using it as far back as 60 years ago to wrap around my baseball bats, on bicycle handle bars, for traction strips on 2X4 roller skate boards, etc.

I have found with the bottle and the tube being so flexible, I have to adjust my technique for a much lighter touch.
The bottle will certainly spin in my fingers without the right amount of pressure, which is very little without deforming it due to the ultra softness, think charmin tripple waves.
I hold the mod at different angle when refilling with these also, as the tube is so flexible, I can pull the bottle out at 90° with no real resistance, so doing that free's up space to hold the cap with the mod horizontal , front of the mod facing the ground, and screw the bottle vertically onto the cap.

A learning curve for me yes, but it has been a short and worthy one.
I have one parked in all my reos at this point, as I've been swapping at each bottle fill...
Time will tell if I keep this setup or go back to stiffer tubing and older bottles, but I have a feeling once it becomes second nature I won't know how I managed before :)
Your results will most likely vary.

Thanks Karen for sharing your experience so far.
I did fit an oring on the cap based on feedback from above, but I don't need it.
I like the cap just as it is, clean, machined, smooth. No problems for me to report.

Nice review Jan! :)
Momma and Deb soon your squonking issues will be a thing of the past!! :)
You will soon be "gently pressing" rather than "squuuuonking. :)

Thanks rudy [emoji4] Mine are on the way. Can't wait to het them loaded into my squonkers

that's a good idea!

Hmmm... so I've been removing the whole tube and bottle assembly to refill. The tubes are so easy to get on and off the 510 feed and once off, it's much easier to avoid the accidental squonk while taking the cap off.
this works too!

So I just received two of the new bottles with my new CC mod and they are the best thing to happen to bottom feeders yet. The squonk is almost effortless compared to the old bottles.

Exactly what I told the supplier Antonio "This is the best thing to happen to bottom feeding and you deserve much credit for making the perfect bottles for us".
