It really is quite DARK purple

In other news, I'm having some chronic leaking on one of my bottles in a woodvil, that the threads seemed stripped from the beginning. I've tried on other metal caps with no satisfaction. I'll try filling with water and trying to seat that way.
Thanks for the tips :)

Let me know if you can't get it to seal.

The way I explained the tank vs squonk was I asked him when he brews a fresh pot of coffee in the morning and that first cup is flavorful and aromatic, then continue to drink the same pot all day, leaving the burner on, how does the coffee taste that's at the bottom of the pot at 4pm in the afternoon?? :nah: enuf said!
Excellent way to explain it!

ok thanks. Looked really blue there, but likely due to the bright color of the mod

I vape a DNA40 squonker quite a lot. I bought a couple of DNA200 boards early on, then concluded that there was no way to make a reasonably sized (read "svelte") squonker out of one of those, and in a drawer they sit.

But tanks? Who the heck wants all their juice in constant contact with a hot vaporization chamber? [emoji38]
Buy an Aromamizer or Billow V2 tank. They solved the problem. Ingenious. Juice stays pristine.

I had converted two REOs to the new bottles and just now put the old bottle back into my TRA. I did a water test and the threads are not sealing. I'll keep the one in my Black Ano running and see how that goes. I wish the threads weren't so short on these. I might try to see if an o-ring will seal it up...

Oring will fail. You will not be able to torque enough pressure onto the Oring with the flimsy cap and flimsy threads to make it seal. You are better off trying to torque it together as is.

You're probably right, maybe I'll just drill out a cap from one of Robs bottles for the skinnier tubing and toss the leaker.

Huge brain fart as I can't think of the name but why not try some pipe thread tape on the threads to see if it will help seal it. Teflon tape?

Not worth the fuss to me. I've got three others that I'll eventually use, there's bound to be one or two here and there that just don't work out. I'm not to concerned about that, just thought I would share.

@ENAUD It's not clear to me whether the bottle you're having trouble with is one from the CoOp I ran. If so, let me know please.
Did that, and I thank you Rossum! I appreciate your help, when these bottles are good, they are really good. :)

All these technical posts about screwing a lid on a bottle. I attach the tube and top cap to the mod, fill the bottle then screw it to the lid snugly. Squonk and vape. Works like a charm.

9 of my 10 bottles were exactly that... fill, screw on cap and vape happily. 1 out of the 10 not so much... had to fiddle around and screw on and off a few times before it settled and was happy. So now it's 10 out of 10.

When these arrive in Maine, at least two (maybe more) will quickly be headed to Kentucky. If I am not too late to the party as I was with Rossum's special order.
The special setting process doesn't concern me. The easy squonk (or "squink" if you will) and better drainage will be well worth the effort.

If anyone is interested in my very clever reply, please expand, it may not really be worth the time.

Special setting process?

:?:

^^^ Poor phrasing on my part, I guess. I meant the setting of the threads, bottle to cap or cap to bottle.

*squonketh*

^^^ "squinketh, perhaps?

Vapenth, Yes!

Totally worth expanding

Tis true the thread (I think its literally one thread) can be tricky to catch...but it ain't bad.

One thing I love about these bottles is no oring...I swear, 99% of the time I had no problem but sometimes when I'd screw in a bottle the oring would come loose inside the cap...and I usually wouldn't notice, until my squonks were rendered unto dry hits

I haven't raved about these bottles publicly lately but I think about them daily. The ease of squonking and lack of squonking issues I've had since getting these is just game changing.

BINGO!!!!
That no oring is what makes the difference to me, imo!!! I would wrestle that damn thing too!
