I've been playing around with the Mini, and I have one thing which is a bit of a niggle.

When I squonk I use my thumb. The problem is that I really have to dig in, because the bottle is thin. I played around with using a spacer, to bring the bottle closer to the front, but then it occurred to me, why not have a larger bottle?

I have a big collection of soft squeeze bottles, but none of them fit the dimensions.

Do any of you know an online supplier where I could experiment with this?

No biggie, just playing around :D

Yeah, I've got several backups in case I screw things up :D

What I'd really like is a square bottle, that would give me a couple of extra ml's. I've been scouring the web trying to find that, but not in these sizes or soft.

BTW: this is not a problem, per se -- I just like to tinker :)

Could you just wrap something around it to make it larger? It would need to be pliable.

Some people liked the plunger with the plank door. They found it was easier to use than sticking a thumb in the hole. Maybe you could go with that and come up with something.

On the plank doors I have I just scoot the door up and squonk. I remove the plunger.

Now that's a thought, thanks :D

Re. wrapping, I've done that and it works.

Just thought of this: A piece of silicon tubing the inside of it the diameter of the bottle. You would just have to slip it on. The thicker tubing would increase overall bottle size. ?????

If you still have one of the 'plank door' thingeys could you put a pic. of it please? I've never seen one, but it sounds like a maybe useable idea?

Thanks.

If you look at my WOOD REO's pics in my profile you can see some plank doors. Right now I am at work, till tomorrow morning, so can't get an up close pic of the plunger itself. It is basically a brass tube that screws together so you can put it through a hole. It has button type ends, and a spring. You push and the spring returns it to expanded position ready to squonk again. One button for your finger, one to push on the bottle.

Quick shot 1st generation Woody with plank door. Personally I prefer to take button off and slide door up to squonk.

I think a few people asked for plank doors, possibly nerak, instead of squonk holes back when Robert had more time to do special orders when making Woodvils.

Wow thanks Fiesty Alice and neraK,

What a beautiful woodie in your pics. Such art, such precision, like the dove-tail door slide joint thing. I couldn't do anything like that even if I had a commitee:).

When you get the chance neraK I'd love to see the pics.

One look is worth a thousand guesses.

That works. I tried it with the fingers cut off the gloves I use to mix juices. I'll try it over the next couple of days :)

I use my Mini 2.1 quite often & I don't have an issue with it but of course everyone is different. The Mini 2.1 doesn't have as much extra space as it's big brothers. There's not much room between the side wall & the battery so keep in mind if you do try to squeeze a larger bottle in there this would be the limiting factor. So a rectangle or oval bottle would work but good luck finding one. I don't like my bateries squeezed up against the side ofbthe bottle. IMHO Robert's choice in bottle sizes for all the metal Reos (I don't own any Woodies) is spot on & taking into consideration the bottles are not hard to find, expensive, or proprietary.

Well you could run a long tubing out the squonk hole to a bottle of any size. Put the bottle in the table beside you, maybe use a camel back,, stick in your pocket, maybe use one of those enema bladders. You could put it on the floor and squonk with your foot. If you just won the lottery you could hire someone to hold the bottle and squonk it for you, on demand. You could attach a syringe and just have it hanging out or attach it with JB Weld epoxy to the Reo and just give it a little push when you need a little of that magic juice.
Sorry, I know I am of no help.

It's not so much an issue, as it is trying to get a Tardis effect, i.e. the inside bigger than the outside. I love the size of the Mini, but it's just too small as an ADC for me. With the Grand that's all I take with me for a full day. I never run out of juice, and power wise, well later in the evening I just take longer drags.

But the size is just purrrfect on the Mini :D

My Mini 2.1 gets used the most because that's what I use on workdays. On workdays I only vape to & from work & during lunch. I don't take breaks to vape & never did to smoke analogs either. Most I'll go through is 1.5 ml by the time I get home. Occasionally I'll use a Grand on a workday but I love the size of the Mini more. On weekends or any day I'm out all day a Grand is definitely what I carry. My VVG only gets used at home & really doesn't get used as much as it should. Just too big & I prefer the mechs. Lately I've been thinking about selling it but not sure if I have the heart to do it. I like it but I could live without it.

You could always bump up the nic in your juice. Before I got my 2.1 I would carry an eRoll if I knew vaping opportunities were going to be limited. I had 40mg juice in it. It was my cheap version of the Njoy King. Wasn't the best vape but it gave me the nic I needed in a few quick hits and I never went through a lot of juice or battery.
