About sentimental and selling a REO.....
A very good friend REOnaut is selling for me a few of my vintage, all pristine but one, that isn't all that dinged up, metal REOs and they are going to REOnauts who appreciate the sentimental value of vintage. I didn't give any price value as I trust his/her judgment. We both feel so much better that they are staying in our REO Family. It really takes a lot of the "pain" away keeping them in the family. I gifted them two vintage just because and his/her commission is a VVG. S/he ended up buying the vintage, pristine RED Anodized Grand. (Hey you, it's okay to do pictures when you have the time.)
Don't worry, Feisty still has a hoard of Wood and metal REOs. Proceeds will go towards whatever Robert has on the drawing board and shipping and insurance to ship the 20lb plank of Pink Ivory up to Alfred to make a s h e e tload of Woodvils when he escapes the metal factory. Pink Ivory is one of the most scarce exotic woods and fun to work. Hoping he finds some figuring in the plank. If not it will still produce spectacular Woodvils. (And, no, you don't get a free Woodvil when you supply wood. Most of the cost of a Woodvil is labor, sweat, and lots of love. And Robert doesn't encourage sending wood for many reasons. In the past some of the wood sent by a few REOnauts was not suitable for various reasons. It does add complication he would rather avoid.) (So, for instance, my one or two Woodvils, out of the plank, instead of costing the retail value of Woodvils, will cost me retail price of Woodvils plus my cost for Wood and shipping which is $500+.)
BTW I have a RED, my favorite color, Anodized VVG and pristine, vintage RED Anodized Mini 1.0 and several "RED" Woodvils so Feisty isn't hurting for "reds."
