Hey,

I just received some bottom coil cartomizers that I ordered from E Cig Wizard. I've never used them before, usually I just use Boge cartomizers. Anyway, I noticed that sometimes when I use them, the inside will glow red, as if the coil is really hot. I've never seen that before with other cartomizers.

Is this normal? I was thinking that it might just be because the coil is in a different place and it can be seen. But I was under the impression that they didn't get as hot as that.

They are around 3 ohms and I'm vaping at 5 volts.

I just thought I would ask incase they weren't supposed to do that!

Thanks,

I had this happen when I got a defective atty. The wick and coils had been pushed down too far. The atty died after a few uses. As RockyMountain said it could be a dry. I've had that happen to a Ego T. Here is a voltage and Ohms chart I got off of here. That can play a factor. The volt/ohms ratio you are using should be ok. Your at a little over 8 watts. Keep it under 10 watts is what I have found so far.
her is the chart.

Ooh that chart is great! There was definitely juice in there as I had just filled it, and I had put a lot in there. Either way, it doesn't look like its doing it anymore. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't dangerous or anything.

Thanks for the replies!
