When I was doing my homework before buying my 1st Reo, the latest 14500 Mini, I remember reading in a thread, some members trying a square bottle to get more juice then the standard, 3ml plastic bottle, with not such great results, so I emailed Rob, and he confirmed that the square bottles were problematic. Wondering if anyone has had any recent good experiences with that concept?

You had to buy 3-4 (or 5-6) to get one good one, so ya, problematic but they're like $.25 ea...roll the dice
This may be a starting point for your large flat square bottles. Vintage E Liquid comes in a Zippo shaped bottle and is designed to be squeezed. It might not be the perfect solution. The bottles are 15ml I think.

I want if only for the bottle...no prices? no means of ordering?...or am I missing something?

Ya, I was extending the Reo 6ml bottles (more just to see if I could and how much abuse they would take)...to simply extend a bottle i.e. cut the top off one and the bottom off another and heat weld them together is pretty easy, I just put some tinfoil on a cookie sheet and put the cookie sheet on the stove top, touched the halves on it till it gets clear and gooey and stick them together...about a 70% success rate but the ones where they didn't leak (or look like crap) the weld holds very good and stays flexible.

Thanks Qigs

very humble project. But my last remaining REO sits untouched since I got my tmods. So I ordered a strip of 24awg silver to replace the positive contact.

pdib did some in silver Playing with scrap. | E-Cigarette Forum

Hoping it gives a performance boost

Silver should be here by wednesday, providing I can keep my [older] 510 pin in tact taking it apart, should be able to try it this week

well I guess you guys all know how much I love my woodies, even though I can build my own mods I still just prefer the woodies, there compact but they still have enough room to stick a dna in there without adding anything to the size, I just love them and prefer them over even my own built mods so far...

unfortunately, I've tried and tried to see how I can get a dna200 to work in a woodie and yeah, just not happening, so this leaves me with no choice but to design my own mod :(

figured since I'm starting from scratch, may as well eliminate all of my little pet peeves that bugged me slightly with woodies, namely that the door is not very secure, it's more set up for a right handed vaper so I need to flip it each time to squonk and also it always bugged me a little that the screen winds up being vertical instead of horizontal so I decided to design around that

here is where I'm at so far, my original goal was to keep it around the size of a woodvil, got this one down to ~ that size, it's shorter and narrower than the woody but will be slightly thicker by a few mm's

these are 600mah 35C cells, I'll limit the mod to ~ 100W, the capacity should be about the same as the 1,900mah high drains we used to use like 1.5 years ago, not quite up to today's standards of the latest greatest 18650's but I'll see how she does. I also am making this thing modular, so if I ever want to use a 1,200mah 3S2C configuration it'll just take a bigger battery door, kinda like cell phones with an extended battery but then that would make the mod like 15mm thicker than a woodie

the rear mounting plate that will secure the door is a titanium plate, I'll probably make the whole battery door titanium to keep it thin and strong and lightweight. the wood is african blackwood, been wanting an african blackwood/titanium mod for a while now, figured this one was as good as any to build it from :)

Admire your work turbo. Always have, always will. Nice to see you working with the latest and greatest chip as well. You have some amazing skills that I'm quite envious of. I sure wish I had the skill and means to do what you folks in this thread are doing, but alas I can only sit back and admire.

That blackwood is very nice to look at. How many hours of sanding do you have in it so far, turbocad?

What's this "hours of sanding" you talk about? No wonder everything I make is very functional but looks like crap.

@Quigsworth was it you whom cut and melted LDPE bottles together? I would like to create a 1/2 round bottle 13 mm radius. Ordered some 20 ml bottles (26 mm diameter) and some .06" thick LDPE sheet. Looking at doing a printed DNA 200 Squonker in the Dibi/Gdeal shape. In the pic below of a proposed top view cross section the left side is for the board, middle for the 3S battery, and right 1/2 circle is for the bottle. I put the thicker side of the battery area (sized for a Nanotech 950 plus 3% side of pouches and plus 5% front and back of pouches) sideways to try and shorten up the width between rounded ends. The 1/2 bottle shape will sure save space.

DNA200%20Squonker%201%20Top%20Outline.JPG_zpshpnrry8w.jpeg

Today I got to work on my 1/2 15ml bottle printed DNA200 idea a little since the wife is in Iowa. If I can pull off making the 1/2 bottle when my LDPE arrives this thing is gonna be smaller than I could have hoped! So I could get a feel for it in my hand before spending too much time on it I did a quick dirty 150mm/s & .25mm layers test print of a thin shell the same OD and boy howdy am I happy! I had to double check the dimensions with a caliper because I could hardly believe how well it fits in hand. (Did I mention I'm thrilled?) Here is the blank shell in my hand:

20150714_183943_zpsa0er5ria.jpg

Here it is with a Dibi, GDibi, GDNA, and a Peko shell inside it:

20150714_184356_zpseffhem6z.jpg

Just a little wider in the short direction than the others, but actually a hair less in the long width direction than any but the Peko. The extra width in the short direction isn't a distraction in my hand at all. Haven't got to the squonk hole, top, or devising a way to refill a 1/2 round bottle that fits snug in the area allowed, but here is where I'm at design wise:

DNA200%20Squonker%201%20In%20Progress_zpsjc8xc38p.jpg

The button holes are just for reference positioning till I decide what buttons to use. The slots inside are for partitions to separate the DNA200, battery, and bottle. I might make the bottle one integrated instead of removable to keep any excess liquid away from the board.

At the time (like a year and a half ago), I finally found a spec sheet on line. I can't find it now; but the open time on the 10A for the ~60-80A (?) our batteries put out in a hard short was ridiculous . . . . like a window of 2 minutes → forever.

Thank you for the info. I didn't know our batteries only hit 60A-80A in a hard short.
Any fuse recommendations?

Edit:
Here is the spec sheet: http://www.cooperindustries.com/con...es/product-datasheets/bus-elx-ds-2039-aga.pdf

It lists .8s at 60A for the 30A fuse. I will test with an old battery to confirm.
