There needs to be a way for moddders turned small time producers to comment in the modders forum. Completely ridiculous! They have great knowledge and experience to share. The information deleted was safety information. How can this be changed?

Well, I'll be hornswoggled!

I didn't realize there was anything wrong with vendors commenting in the modders section as long as they didn't hock their wares.

Guess that's just one more reason to add to my list of why I wouldn't want to become an ECF vendor.

What's next?
Are we non vendors going to get spanked for mentioning a vendors product?
Don't laugh, It seems like a natural progression.
Especially if they aren't a registered vendor.
Millions of posts out there to delete for that one.
FT alone would take years to clean out.

I'm trying to source some M7 x .5 threaded insulators, anyone have any info
so far I have only found some that varitube carries but no image of them
Replacement Insulator for 510 - High Temp

I have no idea about those, but when I was trying to find similar the best I could come up with was to buy delrin rod, thread it with a M7X0.5 die, and drill a center hole in it.

Fellow bottom feeders. In thinking and pondering how to make a 1/2 bottle simple to remove without having to turn it I had a eureka moment (At least if it works) that would make a great addition to any squonker and custom bottle. It would also save height for most setups. We use magnets for lots of attachments so why not the bottle?

That's pretty good, I toy'd with something similar for a bit until I just gave up and just started yanking the whole bottle (tube and all) out of my mods for filling.

My version kept the neck of the bottle intact with the threads removed and the bigger outer cap from a child -proof. I stuck an o ring up in the top of the cap that would seal against the neck opening to be followed by a ring mag, and a corresponding ring mag around the neck. I kind of lost interest when I couldn't find the right sized mags...but that was way back, there's a lot more ring mags out there now.

edit: forgot why I replied to begin with ...couldn't you just slide a DT o ring up the tube up against the mag...when you put the tube back in the bottle the mags would pinch the o ring between them?

Seeing as (at least the last time I checked the rules) any of us are allowed to sell the occasional mod...by some extent, aren't we all vendors?

If you create a "nanny state", don't be surprised when we act like children

I was just over checking out what was going on in Reo land and see that Wharf rat was stirring it up and got spanked by the mods?

I know it doesn't take much to get the Reo faithful to swarm but having a post deleted for being "Inappropriate and disruptive" is saying something...

Ok, because I think this is important information I went back to posts made in Reoville to bring some of the safety information that is gone back. Here is a synopsis since I could not find a Google Cache of it in this thread. This info was referring to fuse modification of a Reo Grand, and was freely shared.

"I am going to STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT WE ALL USE THE RED 10AMP FUSES. The blue (15Amp) took a little too long to blow. (1.3 sec.)"

"a 10A fuse doesn't blow at 10A. I've been vaping .3 and .4Ω coils for months and have yet to blow a single fuse. Fuses are specified (amongst other ways) as to how fast they blow at, say 100% of rated load (10A), 200%, 300% and etc. I'm not gonna look it up right now; but basically, you have to have a surge of something like 50A to blow a 10A fuse in a second or two. The 100% rating might be 5 minutes, or one hour, or something (continuous load). Different fuses have different specs. The 10A fuse (Littelfuse) I use blows in 1/10th of a second at about 50 Amps or so. The AGC (those little glass cylinders) 10A Littelfuse right next to it on the shelf takes about 2 minutes or longer on a shorted battery. It takes a little studying up to make changes to the gameplan safely."
