Not bad, for sure. That thing will be PERFECT for B/Fing attys. You could start a little business out of your place! All in all, great buy

My love- Kawa Reo LP w/ TRA SL door & LokiLab Odin.. Mmm Mmm

So far I've done a Cyclone, an Odin, and a Plume veil using a bench vise, dremel, and a cordless drill.
This'll definitely make things a lot easier.

I made this a while back and posted up a thread. Figured, according to the thread topic, I'd claim my spot. Details: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-steampunk-ermagherd.html?highlight=ERMAGHERD

Unfortunately, the Zmax circuit button sticks on, so it's sitting on one of the tinker benches for now. I'm happy with my Grand, but am in the process of a wood mechanical bottomfeeder from Ipe (Ironwood). Will add another post when she's done...

Nice, good luck with it and go slow, remember 75% of the enjoyment is in the journey and not the destination

BTW please don't tell me you hand sanded the paint off that VV????? If you did save yourself the hassle and get a paint stripper it peals off in 10min flat.

Lots of good stuff in here already. Thanks to t-cad for starting this.
I finally got started on mine. It started out as this:

Then soon became this:

After a whole lot of lacquer thinner, jasco, and sanding, it looks like this:

As you probably already found out that low profile button is too big for the VV. I know, I ordered 4 but will use them on other projects.

Looking good keep those pics coming in.

Proxxon is a good company making quality stuff (hey they're German so that means quality). I'm receiving tomorrow their PD230/E lathe and will also order their FF400 milling machine which can be upgraded to a CNC mill because I do all my milling with my drill press and compound table and the drill press just can't handle the lateral loads of milling metals.
Expecting the delivery truck tomorrow with my new lathe - fantastic
Watching the wife's face when they roll in a lathe (ok it's small) - priceless :D

I ordered one of these last night:

Can't wait to test it out. :D

I let it soak in lacquer thinner, then used Jasco epoxy stripper. Still had to sand it a little.
Powder coat is no joke. :D

Custom I just stripped a powder coated, the Grand in the pictures I posted in less than 10 min. No sanding nothing and no lacquer thinner either. I'll post for you the brand of stripper to use. Great stuff will save you lots of work buddy

hey dougie your mod is one of the mods that I really had in mind when I started this thread, although really it's not my style personally I do recognize the amount of labor and intricacies of your mod and honestly I'd say it's one of the best I've ever seen here and is beautiful, def stuck in my head as an awesome mod brother, there's another guy from Australia I think it was that also did a somewhat similar steam punk mod that again while not my style it was also a really fantastic piece of work, I want to go looking for that one when I get a chance and post it here too because it was really spectacular

I hope studiovap posts his here too (the Australian gent in question). Or, better yet, he's about to finish a newer mod and will post that one instead.
I'm sure studiovape won't mind me posting this here. No of this has anything to do with me, it's all sv's work!

I did mine quite a few months ago now I used an old top cap from a mec mod I drilled it out and installed a normal 510 in the hole and soldered it in.
Then I used some parts from a Reo rebuild kit to make it BF
If I were to make one today I would use a FD Classic but would use an O ring and a Stainless Steal screw
There was a Co-Op a few weeks back for parts for the Gdeal BF'er and included were some of the SS screws I got a few extras
Gdeal designed the 510 BF him self and it works nice no leaks and very little voltage drop. The screws were a group buy and weren't cheep but there the real deal :)
If you search this thread all the info is there :)

These are all very nice. Posting my first try would mostly be for the lols. But it does work.

I've been using the FD v3 too. Would love to see some easy 510's to bottom feed because that FD 510 is a pain.

Steamer, how did you make your 510?
