I have a Smokeless owl in route. I have a feeling I am not going to like the owl atty.. Due to it not being AFC, I wont be able to restrict the draw.

So I will need a new atty. In the mean time I have an old X1 dripper with bottom air flow via the 510. The atty is like this one, $4.41 X1 RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - 2.4ohm / red at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

If I were to drill new air holes in the cap, couldn't I just feed juice through the bottom air hole? I would grind the air chimney down to flush with deck.

The owl atty does have adjustable airflow, you twist the cap to open or close the air holes. As for the bottom air atty,i doubt juice will go through the air hole, the center positive pin has to be either drilled through the center,or notched on the sides,or a notch through the insulator at the center pin for juice to go through.

OK, I had seen a review where the person said it was not adjustable.

Why would the 510 air inlet not work for juice? Unless the 1mm or so hole position between the posts is too restrictive for liquid..

No need to modify it.. it will squonk and pull air from the 510, just like a 510/306 atomizer or cartomizer. (The original devices that squonkers were designed for WAY before RDA's.)

Have fun

It looks like the air holes are on the side above the threads,i didn't think it would pull juice all the way up there, but i'm not familiar with cartomizer type setup's so i guess i was wrong.

As for the owl atty, unless they have changed it which i doubt, then yes it is definitely adjustable air flow. There are 3 air holes on each side of the cap,and there are little nubs that stick up on the edge of the base on each side. Those nubs are to block the air holes,so you can adjust for 1 hole open on each side,or 2 holes or all 3.

I figured, that would be the case.... I think I will still grind the inlet down to deck level. For drainage. The draw is a bit tight so I was going to drill the cap anyway. When My owl gets here, it'll be ready....

Gearbest sent the "It's shipped" Email 15 days ago. Figure I have from 1 day to 2 weeks more to wait. No track number. First order there. Have seen feedback since about longer delivery times than Slowtech... We will see.
