Bottom screw

So, I have been noticing that the bottom screw on everyone's Reos has a normal phillips type head. The screw on mine is some type of allen head, or something. Does that mean it was a replacement at some point, or did the screws change somewhere along the line? No problems with it, I'm just curious.

BTW - Loving my Reos mod!!!!!!!! I haven't used anything else since I got it, and will have to get at least one mini to go with it. Thanks, Rob! You ROCK!!!!!!

Nope...the first couple runs of the REO Grands & Minis had allen screws...but Rob changed to the phillips head a while ago.

The allen head screw on the bottom of the Grand and Mini is a .050 size. That is the size allen wrench you will need if taking out the screw to replace the spring.

The screw used for the Grand and Mini is : Phillips flat head, Stainless steel 18-8, #2-56 x 3/16"
