Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
I've only been trying a single coil build using various sized posts in a coil wrapping kit that really is useless with the 28 gauge Builder's Choice steel wire I've got. I gave away my kanthal a few weeks ago so I'm stuck with this for now. I've tried diameters 1. 5 - 2.5 with different numbers of wraps both contact and spaced. I've been shooting for around 1.0 ohm but I'd be happy with whatever doesn't blow up my battery.

The picture is really hard to see so I also uploaded a vid of me pulsing the coil. I honestly don't know if I'm doing anything right at all and I'm afraid to actually try vaping with it because I can't get the atty to read on anything.

If you put it on a Provari what does the Ω read? Is it within a range that the Provari will read? Sorry but a lot of unknowns from the info you provided.
The coil is heating from the center out that is good. Wick it up, squonk and give it a try.
I'm with mackman..wick it, juice it, and vape it. It looks great.

Oooh, I don't know that SS wire, but from a glance, it looks like it is lower resistance than Kanthal, and may take something like 12 wraps to be 1 ohm. That might explain not reading on a ProVari - but a meter should still register...

It does look like it's firing nicely...

What does the read say? I'm wondering if we can tell whether it's acting like there's nothing on it, or like there's something on it that's "shorted"...

I'll bet that's the resistance - missing a decimal point.
I think you're at 0.637 ohms.

Which would be fine on a Reo - but your atomizer might not provide enough airflow to keep the juice from getting toasted with a build that "hot".

So, me too - I'd wick it, squonk til the wick/coil are nice and wet, and take tiny little test puffs at first...

When you put the cap on, you want an airhole aiming right at the coil...

I get an E1 error on the Provari and a weird number on the ohm meter.

You might need to get some Kanthal to hit 1 ohm.
Or, if you're looking for something to do  you could try making a coil of that stuff with like 13 wraps and see what that reads out...

No burnt taste and lots of vapor. Pulls fine, too. I only have the one AW 18650 1600mAh battery, though. My other two are Orbtronic NCR18650PF (LiNiCOMnO2) 2900mAh 10A CDRs.

I can't figure out how to build it with resistance around 1.0 ohm.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
I was getting several odd numbers, mostly in the 800 range, but the numbers would change while it was on. I've never used it before so I guess I didn't know what I was looking for.

Also, my DIY tobacco juice was created especially for my neighbor who I just got switched from fiddly kanger protanks to cartotanks so it's a REALLY buzz-inducing 12mg......lol Even my Unicorn Blood is 6mg so I may have to dilute that.

if you have the option for a larger inner diameter on those coils it can help you get more wire in there and bring the ohms up.
I tried larger but I have such a small space for the coil to sit on the rm3 I risk touching the coil with the cap. I'm finding the 1.5 mm to be the best size to prevent that from happening. Tough to wick, though...lol

i use 2.5mm in my cyclone - an even smaller little atty - lil short legs and it sits just fine ill get a pic for ya.

edit that rm3 looks tiny nevermind!
I'm thinking I should have got the rm2 but I wanted to have the option to do dual coils by just drilling out a second hole in the cap. Silly me....lol
