The disposables got me from 2 packs a day to about 1 pack a day.

I've only had these for about 8 hours now but in that time I've still had the urge to smoke a few analoges. But definitely a lot less than I normally would. If I had to guess I'd say these will get me down to half a pack a day or less of analogues with a slight chance of just a couple per day or none.

I can't describe exactly what it is I'm needing when I smoke analogues. It's probably not the nicotine with 24mg liquid. Maybe just the ritual of it or the taste or being addicted to all of the crap they put in cigarettes that I'm now not having to ingest when I vape, but my body still craves.

That's a good point. Thee are alot dff chemicals that your body is used to. Congrates on your progress, and those cravings will go away. My coworker put the analogs down about 3 months ago. He vaped and smoked for about a month before. He said just yesterday he smoked one analog and said he has noooo desire to pick them back up. Stinky and Nasty flavor he says. My experience is that I don't have any interest in the stinkies anymore. I have found a heathier alternative, and it's satisfying. Wow... win win!

Rather than re-post it all, go read this: Five fast things every new vaper should know.

Ok problem #1, this thing leaks juice with some regularity. Do you have to hold it a certain way or just live with this or what?

If its only a little I don't mind and it actually tastes kinda good but sometimes it puts a lot of juice in my mouth and that's not pleasant.

Just make sure when you fill the Evod that you don't overtighten the base, this can cause problems.
Also, once you've filled it, or anytime you get juice through the mouthpiece - roll up some tissue into a tight twist and clean out the inside of the mouthpiece. This works for me. Plus you need to practise your draw technique, long slow draws for me mean less leaks etc.

Hope that helps a bit :D

After a few days of use, I'm down to about half a pack a day of the analogues but still can't kick them completely. I have however had no desire whatsoever to use the old e-cig (not even one puff) so this was a massive improvement. Other than one of the clearo's leaking sometimes, I've had no problems. And both are still going strong off of the initial charge w/ constant vaping, so even the smaller ego upgrade batteries appear to be pretty strong.

So I was strolling along Palisades Park in Santa Monica (right on the beach/Ocean Ave) today and saw this guy parked on the side of the road, where the taco trucks usually are:

After I was done laughing at the absurdity and awesomeness of this, I went inside for a look.

The business card doesn't have his name but this is the proprietor of Empire Vapor (310-923-8898 empirevapor@gmail.com)

He was really knowledgeable and gave me some pointers on my rig. And I bought an ego twist (basically the long version of the ego upgrade battery I have now) for $24. And he threw in a car+usb charger for free! He had an evic and some other cool stuff in there too, along with a bunch of e liquids, though I didn't try any.

I've been walking that beach everyday for a couple weeks and it's the first time I've seen him down there, so I wouldn't expect to find him there if you head down - but thought I'd share as this was a pretty awesome sight lol

Other than getting asked to stop using my ecig in a bar on the westside of LA once (they don't allow them i guess) this area seems to be vapor heaven. You see lots of people using them walking around in Venice and elsewhere and I've already found two retailers just wandering around, who have legit equipment. That's 2 more than I've ever found anywhere else!

whoa, that's awesome! i'm going to have to start walking around in santa monica more to try to find something like that.

anyways, congrats on your set-up! i think you'll be very happy with it - i actually just recently bought an evod and a twist for back-up and travel.

also, don't worry too much about not being able to kick the cigarettes immediately; i was at about a half a pack a day when i picked up my first setup (twist and a stardust-type clearo), and it took me a week or two to stop smoking daily, and maybe a month or two to stop smoking entirely. just give it some time and a little bit of effort, eventually you'll get to a point where you just don't want a cigarette.

If the larger ones are too...large...then this is a great setup.
I have a collection of EGO batteries - including "minis" so my EVOD/Battery setup can be hidden in my palm completely or tucked in a pocket without looking funny, and a couple fatter ones that are 1300 mAh and last all day.
I tried EVODs, and T3s and MiniNovas - and the EVOD is a great gizmo that you'll like - and you can replace just the head occasionally, for like $1 and keep em running.

A couple tips that MIGHT help:

1) be CAREFUL when filling not to get any in the center tube. Also maybe use a pipecleaner to make sure that center tube is dry when you do fill...
2) next time one is empty, if you're cleaning it or if it's new - make sure the "head" - (it's got grooves, and a little rubber cap) is screwed in tight! For some reason, these become loose during use - and it's got to be tight to prevent a leak.
3) And EVOD tends to start gurgling when it's low - I'd just refill as soon as the liquid drops below the window...
