I am new to e-cigs. I have been using them for about 4 or 5 days now. I just bought the Kanger Subtank Mini and VaporShark dna 30 today and I want to know if I could use it Blu brand e-liquid? This is an important question for me because I just love the taste of Blu Menthol e-cigs.

Below is a bit more background to my question and situation:

I am new to ecigs. I started about 4/5 days ago. I used to be a 10-15 a day smoker. I bought Blu Pro rechargeable ecigs to begin with, with 18mg Menthol cartridges. I loved it immediately. However very quickly I realised I wasn't getting enough Vape or smoke. I don't know of anyone who uses ecigs so I went to this ecig shop in central London and asked them to recommend the best device money can buy - within reason. I told them I was new to ecigs. They showed ,me a few starter ones. I told them I wanted the best model he can recommend. He showed me the VaporShark and Kanger Subtank. I tested it and I liked it. I know I was paying above normal prices, but it was Central London, and they were giving me advice and I was able to test it out. Anyway I bought some of the menthol juice from the shop thinking it would be the same taste as what I was used to with Blu eCig Menthol. However although I like the device and it's fine, I don't like the taste of the juice or taste of the Vape. I genuinely loved the menthol flavour from blu. For whatever reason that Menthol flavour hit the spot for me. It was perfect. So what I want to know is can I use my device (Kanger Subtank Mini and VaporShark DNA 30) with Blu brands e liquid? If I can it would make me so happy.

I am assuming most of you guys will know the Blu brand ecigs. I am new to the forum, so I assume I can't post links, otherwise I would.

I would really appreciate an answer. Thank you in advance.

hi ryanlondon and welcome to the forum. I don't have the answer to your question, nor could I find the Blu liquid you were mentioning, so I will not guess. You can reply to posts and they will count for the first 5. The search box at the top of every page is helpful finding info. Is there an ingredient label on the Blu eliquid? Sounds like you have a nice set up. Good luck in your journey.

I didn't think Blu sold just the eliquid. You have to buy the prefilled carts and they're very secretive on who makes thier eliquid. A company named Johnson Creek used to make thier eliquid and you can buy that. I dont know how thier menthol is. Maybe start there.

Finding a flavor you like can be as important as the delivery device you use when you vape.

I never tried Blu myself, but I have read that at least at one time their liquids were made by Johnson Creek. I'm not sure if they still make it, or even if any of their menthols taste like Blu's.

There must be some ecig shops in London that you could visit that have a flavor sample bar that you can try flavors before you buy. Going to a vape meet like Chrissie suggested could give you places to visit.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for super fast replies. I never expected that :)

Well Blu's website is this: " blu cigs dot co dot uk"

Yes I assume their liquids might be expensive. I don't care about brands. I just want that Menthol taste that I got from Blu. It was just perfect. Although I bought Menthol from the Shop in London, it was not even remotely close. So I will take your suggestions on board and shop around. But in the meantime, if you guys are right and I can use their e-liquid on my new toy, then I am a happy man. For now I will just buy the Blu liquid. I realise I may be paying a bit more. I will find an alternative supplier soon. However, the e-cigs are one of the few things that I spend money on, so I can treat my self now and then.

Thanks guys.

One other thing, I never realised how much fun these e-cigs could be. If I knew that I would have tried this a long time ago.

You are right. That's what I am planning on doing. London now has a few good e-cig retail shops. And more are opening up daily. It's booming market. So I plan to visit them and take a Blu with me.

Thanks all.

I was wondering about something. Recently I have felt a bit high headed, and this is not when I was vaping. We are talking about half an hour or an hour later. It happened on a few occasions in the last 2 days. Now I wouldn't be surprised if it happened during vaping, but this has happened during periods when I wasn't. I am wondering if this is undusual. It's happened today and yesterday, and I started using this pro vaping product yesterday. Any thoughts?

Secondly, I get this gurgling type of noise from mine. A bit like you get on ....s/hukka's when things are burning. I didn't think it was normal, and I went back to the shop twice to see if they could do anything about it, and even showed them some text on Kangertech Subtank on a website that mentioned the Gurgling noise - but the staff there said it was normal. I am new to this, so I wasn't sure. I still feel that most don't make this gurgling noise. Thoughts welcome.

To compare the taste, yes?

Anything to escape Blu, please. In the UK, it is Chinese liquid, NOT the real Blu. Read it and weep, our friends in the US.

They are a tobacco company. They are paying shops to throw all other e-cigs off the shelves to make way for their products.

As I've said before. If Blu continue the way they plan it, we can all waive goodbye to consumer choice.

Going from a blu penstyle ecig to the Kanger subohm/ 30watt device you will want to cut your nicotine mg strength way down. I would start with cutting your normal mg by half. I typically vaped 18mg for the first 4 years I vaped but when I switched over to a subohm tank it made me sick. I have settled in at 12mg and am getting my nic cravings met and not getting the over nic side effects. Good luck.

By the way, the setup you recently purchased is an excellent one.

Kanger SubTank mini is a fantastic tank, and I've had my VaporShark DNA30 for about a year, and love it.

The ONE problem you may have is, the VaporShark, when vaping on a tank that is Sub Ohm (below 1ohm, such as point five ohm) will go through batteries like crazy!

If you find you can't make it with the VS through a full day, check out the ELeaf IStick 50w . It has 4400 mah batteries, which will easily get you through a full day, and the device is relatively inexpensive.

Good luck!

The nicotine absorbsion is supposed to happen slower with vaping compared to cigarettes so maybe that's why the feeling comes half hour after, but I can't say that's ever happened to me though; you might need to lower your nicotine strength; if you are running the subtank at high power, the high nicotine strength liquid you are using might be too much; the higher the power level you vape at the lower the nicotine strength needs to be.

The gurgling sound is the blissfull sound of liquid getting vaporized; it means your thingy is working.
