Genuine Joyetech 1000mah eGo-T 510 3.3v Battery Kit - STAINLESS [gv-joyetechEGOTKIT-STNLS] - $59.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

this is what i'm talking about; it's a T.... a batt and a cone (which i find unnecessary, but it's harmless), charger.

3.3 volts matched with an LR cartomizer (510) is going to give you as good a vape as any.

Higher voltage is not necessary for vaping satisfaction as long as the resistance is matched to the power.

You can buy these sort of "a la carte" as well, and just get one batt and a charger, or a pass thru; which charges from your usb slot; ... as you vape.
That's the main problem. You're paying $60 vs. $42 for the privilege of getting something unnecessary and useless. That's a 50% price increase. Not exactly harmless. The issue of the lame 3.3V is another subject. And in no respect is it good to have to use a LR carto just to eek out a decent amount of power.

Even the Volt can outperform the eGo T without resorting to the lowest resistance carto available. So, the vape is NOT "just as good as any".

I guess my biggest issue is finding a trustworthy site. I read about the guy who had his ecig overheat and blow up in his face. I think it was a result of a poorly made product. This is why I was only going with companies like safe cig or blu. Are there any concerns in choosing?

That guy was using the wrong kind of batteries and using them improperly. What happened to him was a result of his own stupidity. It was not the result of a poorly made product which, BTW, was one of the best made e-cigs on the market. It was the result of stacking multiple batteries of the wrong type.

Safe cig and Blu are two of the worst e-cigs on the market. On the mini-cigarette side, the Volt, Bloog, HaloG6 and Smoove are all way better. For bigger e-cigs, the Kgo, ego, Riva are all sealed batteries and as safe as you're going to get.

Any of the vendors listed on ECF are trustworthy. Many more trustworthy sites are not listed here.

I have to agree with Sailorman. I started with the blu because you see them everywhere. They are really good at marketing, but the product is not that good. Everyone knows McDonald's, but their hamburger is not the same as a burger from a great restaurant.

The blu is overpriced and not a very good product. The batteries don't last more than an hour, the cartos are proprietary (not designed to be refilled nor can you use other companies on them) and cost over $2 each. You are stuck with the juice they use. I have been waiting for my refund from them for over 2 weeks now.

The volt gives you all of what you want. My 65mm batteries last 3 hours, the cartos are refillable and inexpensive, their x2 batteries last for up to 13 hours of vaping and their cartos, clearomizers and different batteries are all interchangeable. The best thing about them is their customer service. They have resolved any problems I had immediately, and there have only been two. They ship fast, and do not overcharge for shipping. Every order I have placed with them has been at my door within 2-3 days.

I am also new to vaping and started with the Safe Cig Micro. I thought Blu cartos would taste better so I tried them on my Safe Cig Micro. Neither option did it for me. After asking everyone on here, I made a purchase with Hoosier e-cig supply and ordered the Kgo (should be here tomorrow or the next day!!!). Right now they have 5% off your order and free shipping on purchases $55 and over. I searched endlessly and couldn't find a better deal. Search youtube for videos on how to clean your cartomizers and refill them.. they have tons of videos. Mt. Baker Vapor has good prices on e-juice and offers a blend for people allergic to the PG. I haven't tried it yet but, I've heard that their menthol is good. They also have a coupon code for 10% off if you search the forum, I'm not sure what it is off the top of my head. Good luck!!
