I double checked the legs when I put the led in. after I got it all soldered and it didn't work i disconnected the legs and wired them and the resistor directly to the battery, the same way I tested it before I installed the led and I got nothing. oh well no led but it still works. don't want to risk killing the whole thing just to try and fix the led. The mod may not work perfectly but I definately learned some lessons for the next one.

I'm going to wait till I get a better iron before I attempt to make the other box.

There is so much good info in this thread that it's a shame to see its demise… or maybe assassination would be more appropriate.

As for me, I just finished the kit and I highly recommend it, enough so that I have already (in a last minute supply run to Radio Shack) bought a box and parts to do my own. That’s what the box mod kit is all about. Yes, there is cleanup on the case, and no the kit doesn’t include instructions but they are available (http://www.madvapemods.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10) . Yes, I made a couple of goofs like unknowingly bumping the atty fitting before it dried… so what, I’m finding that vaping at a 60 degree angle is rather comfortable.

Relax, take your time and enjoy what you learn. Have fun and good luck.
